Rated 2 out of 5 by Snape Dirty towels and balled up sheets
I stayed here with my family after completely a quick trip to spring training. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, but isn't on top of the airport like the other Element. We arrived late in the evening, and were upgraded to a Studio room, which had enough space for the three of us. Unfortunately, I had to make my own bed at midnight because the rollaway wasn't made. The sheets to the rollaway were balled up in the closet and may not have been clean. Not sure. When I went to the WC, I noticed that the towels left hanging had a yellow-greenish residue. I brought it to the attention of the hotel FD agent the next morning by asking if she could see what was wrong with the towel. When she said "no," I showed her the stains. She was unapologetic in getting me fresh towels, but that was seriously annoying. Additionally, breakfast wasn't so great here. All of the hot items were cold and all of the cold items were hot. Nothing like cold eggs and hot yoghurt to get my day going... said no one ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by steven55 Outstanding property, great staff
We've been putting a house together in Miami over the last six months and this property has been our go-to place when we're in town working on the project. We actually look forward to our visits. Danny, Vanessa & the whole staff at the front desk do a great job and are very responsive and helpful. During our last visit we left an iPod in the Fitness Center and we were much relieved that it had been turned it at the front desk (thanks to Fanny from the Housekeeping staff!). Overall, a very comfortable place and very well managed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Doughbuy First stay at an Element
This was my first stay at an element hotel, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Check in process was slow, especially since only one agent was working the desk, and there was no SPG plat check-in line. However, front desk staff was nice and was able to upgrade me upon request (although this really should have been automatic).
The suite was well equipped with a small kitchen and living room area, and had a filtered water dispenser. Bathroom was nice and spacious, as well as the bedroom. Furniture was... lacking in the bedroom however. The hotel was only built a year ago and has been kept up fairly well, plenty of outlets everywhere.
Breakfast was great in the morning, lots of interesting options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SPGtrumpsOtherBrands They DO Upgrade You Based on Status Level
I don't understand why others have stated they don't upgrade you based on status level, they certainly did for me. Customer service was very good and the rooms were fairly clean. The rooms have a LOT of lights, which I like. The showers are very good and has enough ventilation. About 15 minute drive to the airport (only about 3-4 miles away).

SPG recognition needs vast improvements. Employees were extremely friendly and the food served in the evening and morning was of great quality. Free drinks provided during the evening was a nice touch.

Purpose of trip was to bring my son back to school at FIU. Great location as it's a straight trip up/down SW 107th. Previous stays at aLoft (adjoining property).
Stayed in Exec suite on 7th (top) floor. Nice room and setup. Unfortunately, I'm a light sleeper and all the Exec suites are on the corner of SW 107th and NW 33rd. Once the morning rush started, I was awake. Would, however, recommend this hotel as that's my own personal issue - my wife slept fine.
