The beautiful Taj Mahal, one of the world’s most famous buildings, is just a couple of kilometres away from our hotel. It is open to visitors every day (except Friday) from sunrise to sunset.
Explore Agra’s second most-visited attraction, the Red Fort of Agra. Made of red sandstone, this well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site is an important 16th-century monument. Inside its 2.5-kilometre long walls are audience halls, two mosques, and palaces, including Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal. About 40 kilometres from town, Fatehpur Sikri (meaning “the City of Victory”) is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built during the second half of the 16th century, the complex is filled with monuments and temples, and is one of the India’s largest mosques. Just a few kilometres from our hotel, Sikandara Fort is an important piece of Mughal architecture and the mausoleum of Emperor Akbar. Built between 1622 and 1628, the Mughal red sandstone and marble mausoleum Itmad-ud-daulah Tomb (nicknamed “Baby Taj”) is also noteworthy.
