Rated 2 out of 5 by My Stay at Four Points TSQ Other than location of the hotel (i.e. close proximity to Time Square and Penn Station), I didn't find this hotel was a good value for the money. The entrance (and lobby) is the first thing that customer sees and has a big impact and in that area this hotel gets 2 out of 10. The lobby had a distinct smell and we couldn't stand over there and had to come out of the hotel to get fresh air. The entrance also doesn't leave an impression as it front faces the backside of the Port Authority building, which might be adding to the smell. Overall I couldn't stand in front of the hotel or sit in the lobby, it was unbearable (smell) and front of the hotel had a pile of trash bags lined up for almost 3 days and people were opening the trash and sorting out the plastic bottles, which was adding to the smell. Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful staff! I was greeted immediately and treated very well by all staff members. I received an automatic upgrade as well. I told the young man at the desk that I did drink a lot of water and every time I requested it, I was brought two bottles within minutes. Overall, the staff was excellent and all of my needs were met. June 30, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dissapointing stay The front desk cancelled my reservation even after I called to confirm that I would be arriving late due to my flight delay. When I arrived the front desk attendant could only reinstate my first night as the other two nights were no longer available. I was forced to find a new hotel the next morning. Then once in my room the walls are thin and the mattresses were covered in a plastic liner under the sheets. June 29, 2013

Restaurant service was lacking, they should learn from the front desk team. Standard small NYC room, but clean and comfortable. Good location. June 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect perfect perfect This hotel is in the perfect location, has perfect amenities, and the customer service is perfect! Being an SPG member and getting a free upgrade is one thing, but to be put in a suite when staff found out it was our anniversary is another! And to top it off, free chamapgend and chocolate covered starwberries! This will be the ONLY property I stay in anytime I visit NYC! You should too!! June 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 Poor Room Facility but Great Staff Firstly, the room air cond made such loud noises that it was unbearable. It will suddenly turn very loud & rumbling and then went quiet for a couple of min and then rumbled again. Next, the bed is sunk in, at least at the side where I slept. The middle of the bed was firm but the sides are sunk in. Poor quality. However, the staff I met at the restaurant, Shagana & also the chef, were great, polite and friendly !!!! My wife and I were very pleased with the food and service and we actually ate 4 meals there! This is a big deal since we only stayed for 5 nights and New York had many great restaurants. Especially if you are an avid theater goer like myself, you are blocks away from it all. Not only is location important to me, but comfort, cleanliness and amenities rank high on my priority list. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location, Solid Choice for Midtown/Broadway Title says it all. A few undesirables around Port Authority across the street but otherwise a solid property just a few blocks off Broadway. Walk to Times Square, great restaurants and all the theaters. Rooms average size for NYC. Request high floor to get a view and a room further from the street noise. We were on 15 and slept very soundly! June 15, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing This SPG property was described as simple but comfortable. That was my expectation however I was disappointed. It's is a no frills hotel but the size of the room was not appropriate or comfortable for 2 people. There was not enough space for the 2 of us to walk through the room without the other one moving to the side . 4 out of the 5 mornings I had a cold shower and when I called they were very nice about looking into it however was never fixed. The wall air conditioner was extremely noisey which because the bed was within 4-5 inches from it woke me throughout the night. The staff was very nice and pleasant the accommodations very disappointing and uncomfortable June 8, 2013

From the GM all the way down to the food and beverage manager, they are a special group of people who are there to provide you nothing but the highest quality SPG customer service. I was so impressed with the way that everyone gioes out of their way to ensure their guests are treated with the highest level of SPG service!! Thanks for making my wife's 40th SPECTACULAR!!! Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location Hotel is in an ideal spot with Times Sq just 2 mins away. It's right next to a subway line 42nd st which has everything to hand. The hotel service and staff was on point, but the rooms needed a little bit of a face lift. There isn't a pool or spa and the fitness room needs to be updated. However everything else, including the breakfast menu was great. I would suggest the buffet needs a little improving with different daily offerings if the selection is restricted. May 31, 2013

The competing hotels next door have sound proofed windows which would have made y stay excellent. The should replace the windows, put a microwave and refrigerator in the rooms and then they would meet the normal excellent SPG brands. May 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Noise I was not told during check in that there was a lounge/club just above my room. I've tried to sleep for about 3 hours but the noise wouldn't let me. I had to wait till the party ended in order to sleep. It wasn't the most pleasant experience to say the least. May 26, 2013

Joe, the new GM has brought some nice extra touches which is making it better than ever. It makes such a difference when you are away from home and made to feel welcomed like I do at the Fourpoints Times Square. May 24, 2013

Because we arrived very late in the evening, the reception staff offered us immediately late check out which made our stay in the room less rushed and more enjoyable.
