I have been a staying in this property for last 7 years and I always find staff very cordial and helping. In fact this is one of USP of this hotel. Antique Bazar restaurant is probably the best place in Dubai to have Indian food and music. It is centrally located and two metro stations in vicinity helps business traveler a lot. I would recommend this place for business persons as well for families.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Upsetguest I had a roach in my wedding suite
I had a roach in my wedding suite bathroom and the toothpaste pack was having an expired date of over six months I had to separately ask for my bathroom slippers. I informed the managers on duty and they said they will contact me for this in convenience and no 1 cared to get in touch. Mr Mohan was the night manager next day and hey said his co manager will get in touch but no 1 cared to do so. This type of service in a executive suite on my wedding day is a shame I also took pictures for this issue

In Europe and the States one does not think of hotels restaurants as first choice for food. Thus, when I am in Dubai I hardly try the restaurants in the hotels. But, in one of my stays in this hotel, I was too tired to try to go out for a meal. I decided to try one of the restaurants they have. I was not expecting much. I just wanted to fill my stomach with food, rest a bit and then go to sleep. I decided to go for the Indian restaurant. After all, the sign says it is an award winning restaurant. I was shocked of how good the food was. Also, I was surprised to see the place full of locals from the Indian community in Dubai. The food was out of this world. I am certain that if this restaurant was in one of those fancy 5 stars hotels in Dubai, it would be all over the news. Plus, the price would have been three or four time more. I became a regular even when I am not staying in the hotel.
In my last stay, I wanted to be a bit adventurous and try the other restaurant, the Portuguese one. I must say, I was not expecting much. It is a miracle to have two good restaurants under the same roof. Plus, while it is easy to find a local chef for an Indian restaurant, I doubted they had a chef from Portugal there. They did!! And the food, again, was amazing.
I am thrilled of my discovery. I travel to Dubai for business and I really hate hunting for good places to eat. I also hate waiting for taxis and/or driving around looking for restaurants. Now, I found a place where you can have a decent clean room for an amazing price and you can have your choice of two great restaurants. A word of advice here though: if you are looking to one of the fancy Dubai hotels and settings, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a great place to sleep and eat, this may be the one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by eric2005 Poor AC in public areas
The staff were excellent. Only the concierge was abrupt once when I wanted a metro schedule. He was helping a long winded guest. He smiled and said to wait however the wait was too long so I left. Later I discovered that the metro schedule was on a rack next to the concierge desk. Don't know why he didn't just hand it to me but maybe it was a misunderstanding. Other than that he was helpful. All other staff were excellent, especially the friendly Indian chef from Calcutta. The problem that I encountered was very poor air conditioning in the lobby and public areas. About 25-26 C. (this was confirmed by the manager). They told me that there was a problem that they were working on but after three nights it never got better so I avoided these areas as much as possible. I wonder if the temperature is not normally set high to save money. A pity as there were few restaurant options in the area and I didn't want to sit in an uncomfortable place. AC in my room was very poor when I arrived however two technicians came and adjusted it so there was no problem after that. Free WIFI in public areas but uncomfortable temperature discouraged lingering. Convenient to metro - just a few minutes walk down the street. Metro goes to airport by the way. Small but pleasant pool and sunning area. The plus of this hotel is the friendly accommodating staff.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Spiritark Would stay elsewhere if >1 night
I arrived to find I had a suite upgrade and some nice dessert amenities waiting for me upon arrival. So that was a pleasant surprise.
Room in general was great because it was a suite. Not sure what it would be like if it were the standard room. The shower-and-bathtub was a little small and felt claustrophobic especially for a slightly taller person like myself. I had to bend my knees slightly just to bathe.
Location is just alright but not fantastic. I would have picked properties closer to the city center if I were here for more than a day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DubaiTraveler815 great convenient hotel
There are a number of wonderful things about this hotel: It is very close to two metro stops in Dubai, close to the airport, close to the creek - a great place to take an evening stroll. The rooms are fantastic and have lots of draws and shelves. The bathroom has a nice deep bathtub and shower, lots of shelves if you have many items. The shower has a window into the room, odd as it sounds helps make the room feel bigger. This is a great business hotel and very convenient.

Being staying at this place since the last 3-4 years, as fourpoints burdubai seems like our home in Dubai, with all the comforts and attention paid to all our requirements and requests by the ever helping hotel team at the reception, room service or house keeping. Can't be better than this.

The staff is phenomenal in their anticipatory attentiveness to customer needs. They simply sense what serves you in any moment. Mr Waseem, Ms Mercy, Mr Musician , especially, excellent work

I found this hotel to be one of the best kept secret in Bur Dubai. The hotel is very clean, and in a great location. Overall staff are very attentive to your needs and the facility is quite positive. What keeps me coming back is the level of service which is exceptional and I would like to extend my thanks to all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by arunmuscat Is the hotel focusing on cost?
When i checked into the hotel there was no one who greeted me, no one to open the door and i had to open the door myself and one of the staff was looking at me, no one carried the bag to the room all i did myself. I got a feeling i got into a budget hotel. I paid 60 AED extra for breaekfast and it was not worth for the money i paid. overall i havent experienced the five staff facilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mikimail8 friendly, delicious .. just perfect
For an excellent value for money, this hotel offered me comfort and impeccable service!
Staff helpful, smiling and friendly, very welcoming and always ready to help you. (even though there may be little moments of rushes, sometimes being a victim of their success;-)
Royal breakfast! All kinds of bread, chocolate, oatmeal, fresh fruit, Indian dishes, noodles, delicious fish, chicken finely seasoned, and a cook at your disposal to cook an egg you just as you wish.
Good food at night, whether curries or Western dishes, lasagna, delicious steaks of meat or fish, with a good glass of beer or (belgian!) wine, for a fair price with a staff on the lookout for your wishes!
A super comfortable room, internet connection correct. The view is not great but we are not in Dubai to watch the city from the window;-)
Well located. A small supermarket 30 m where there is anything you want, regular taxis, I never had to wait more than 2 minutes. The subway is around the corner, ATMs 50m

Had a long stay in this hotel for business. Staff were very friendly right at the start of my stay and it stayed that way till I checked out. There are many positives about this hotel. The breakfast, for one, was awesome. Wide variety. Sumptuous. The manager as well as the waiters take note of what you had the previous day so that you don't have to ask every time. The location of the hotel is also a major attraction. With walking distance to both the metro lines, restaurants, shopping and even the Dubai Museum. The hotel is also right next to a super market so you don't miss a thing away from home. Overall had a great stay and would love to visit again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimellie Great service, fantastic room
We chose this hotel as a stop over during our trip from Melbourne to Amsterdam and it did not disappoint! We were welcomed by very friendly staff who also provided us with a cold drink while we checked in. The room was immaculately clean and very spacious and went beyond our expectations. We had ordered a cot for our 11 month old son which was bought up to our room within 5 minutes of our arrival. The hotel itself is located a 10 minute drive from both the airport and Dubai Mall and a taxi ride to both is about €10. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and we would stay there again if ever in Dubai in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dhuw Good Experience
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bur Dubai Sheraton. The staff who met us were helpful and efficient. The neighborhood was interesting, with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The room was very nice-a bit small, but well appointed and laid out in a way that easily accommodated my wife, myself, and our small child. We had a free, high-quality WiFi signal in our room--a rarity in the UAE. The room was stylish, comfortable, and very clean. We used the roof-top pool which, though too small for laps, was very nice. We had poolside dinner at the very good Portuguese restuarant. Next day we had the 60 AED lunch buffet--which was among the best hotel buffet lunches that I have had. Quality was excellent, and there were many vegetarian/vegan options. We requested and received a late check out, even though the hotel was fully booked. Check out was quick and efficient. My only small complaint is the price of the breakfast buffet. We skipped it because it was 90 AED per person. But all in all, an excellent experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beyond2013 User Friendly Hotel Experience
Arriving 9.30pm, tired from our flight, our entry and room delivery was quickly managed at front desk and by porter.
Twin room was very crisp & clean. Operating the bathroom taps presented no problems. Lighting is minimal in room, as is the norm for most hotels, although lamps helped in key areas. No milk in fridge for a cup of tea was the only drawback, but a call to front desk would fix this. Breakfast offered full range & choice and was superb.
Dining room staff friendly and prompt to top up the coffee. Pool looked very welcoming, sadly no time to enjoy these facilities. Highly recommend for short or long stay as it is close to the monorail station and historic old town.

Rated 3 out of 5 by IndianHunter Nice Location - but poor recognition of SPG guests!
The only good thing about the hotel is its location - apart from that it doesn't feel like a Sheraton at all - the lobby is disappointing - and as soon as you enter the lobby/reception area, you immediately realize its a city hotel...nothing star or grand about it. VERY poor recognition for SPG customers.
I am a SPG Gold member, and was visiting Dubai to celebrate my wedding anniversary. I booked for this stay at least a month in advance, and immediately informed the hotel that its a 5 night stay, to celebrate my anniversary. In-spite of all this, My wife and myself were never made to feel special during the entire stay - from check-in to check-out.
I had to haggle and request at the reception to give me the SPG floor ( 4th Floor), otherwise, there were giving me a non member floor. In fact, by giving us a backside facing room on the SPG preferred guest floor, the lady at the reception said that she has "upgraded" us - clearly a blatant shameless lie. As a SPG gold customer, getting a room on SPG floor is my RIGHT. Of course, I was not given any upgrade or anything. What else should I say, inspite of the fact that hotel was aware I am celebrating my marriage anniversary, and the reception staff mentioned that at check-in, , the hotel did not bother to even wish us - forget about a cake or even a good wishes card.
VERY DISAPPOINTING - not expected from Sheraton, and that too for a SPG Gold member!!! I expected more from a star rates hotel, for a gold rates SPG customer. VERY VERY disappointing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by smartie1971 great business hotel
Ok this hotel is not the smartest in Dubai, but I've stayed in a few and this one is my preferred, Its great value for money and the staff are simply excellent, they are so responsive and helpful it just makes staying there a pleasure, on the negative side the food is a bit limited but the Indian restaurant is excellent. If your on business and are likely to need a bit of help with logistics and general support this is the place to stay. great location with easy access to the metro.
love this place

The hotel proved to be the best part of a memorable trip--the staff in the morning buffet restaurant were extremely courteous and attentive (who made breakfast for 6 consecutive days a special treat). The hotel location to the metro is very convenient and located in the old part of town--many local shops and close to walking distance to the creek. The entire staff makes this hotel unique--everyone is focused on the customer and that makes all the difference! i have stayed at many hotels in the Starwood chain and I must say that the service levels at this hotel compare to the best that Starwood offers.
