Our stay was very pleasant. Every member of the staff made sure our needs were met. Room, linens, bathroom, all immaculately clean. Location is perfect for sight seeing, walking distance to historic area. Will definitely stay again!

We were greeted by a wonderful young lady. Wonderful bartender and very nice waitress. The valet assistant supervisor was very nice when our car was damaged. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay again without reservation.

This is a lovely hotel within walking distance of the riverfront and downtown areas. Staff is great. Rooms are comfortable with the bedroom separate from the sitting area. It even has two TVs.

Hotel staff treat you like family and try to meet your every need. Can't say all the guests are as friendly but the atmosphere, food and service are a true southern charm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by pjkosman Quite disappointed
After noticing the bed had what looked like poppy seed objects throughout it, I requested for a complete bed change. On arriving back to the room after touring the city, I inspected the bed to find the same objects in the bed including hair. I was now extremely upset because either the staff never followed through with what they promised or the second set of sheets were just as dirty. In addition, the beds were extremely uncomfortable as my husband & myself woke up two mornings in a row with ours backs hurting. I've stayed at many Sheraton hotels prior to this one & have never experienced such unsatisfactory conditions. Very disappointed to have wasted so many of my points at this establishment!

Rated 1 out of 5 by curiab Awful Experience Overall
"Complimentary" valet was offered upon arrival, since no carts were available to help us carry our luggage. Then, we were charged $15/night for the valet. There are no signs posted anywhere, so beware of that trap. Then we checked in, The staff was friendly, already had our keys waiting for us. We went up to our room and it reeked of mold. We called down and asked to be changed. It was another 10-15 minutes until we had the keys in our hands. So, we went down to the next room. It was smaller than the first, and DIRTY. As in the desk had food crumbs and used tissues, there were several used soaps at the sink and in the shower, and stuff on the floor of the shower, as well as used towels. Also, this room smelled of mold. So, we went back down. (Note: we had been waiting more than 25-30 minutes for the NOT-complimentary valet to bring our luggage up.) We asked to speak to a manager, and the staff treated us to free drinks while we waited. They "upgraded" us to a smaller bed, but a larger room (2 room suite). This room still smelled like mold, so my allergies acted up the whole time, but we knew we wouldn't get a refund, so we didn't both trying again. At this point, it was another 20 minutes until our luggage was finally brought up. The room also had no room service menus, and we had to call 2 days in a row before someone finally brought us one. The bed itself was not comfortable, and was missing the down pillows the previous 2 rooms had. For all of our troubles, we were offered a free buffet breakfast. While the staff was friendly (especially the manager and front desk people), the facilities were even lower than the 3 star ratings I read online. If you're looking for a hotel that meets the Sheraton/Starwood quality you're used to, this is not the place to be. Definitely not worth the price you pay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by emily2012 wonderful staff!!!!!
My husband and I stayed Sept 7- Sept 9 2012. We had a relaxing stay. All of our needs were met by the excellent staff. They were so friendly and helpful!! (especially Sean, manger, and Nicey, bartender. We loved Niceys Swamp Water!! very potent though. Sean approached us and asked if he could help in any way. Rooms were clean. Beds were sooo comfy. We had a problem with the t.v. and i called guest services and they fixed it right away! Valet was great. Those guys are super nice. We will always stay here in the future!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by NCtraveler Extremely Disappointing
While the staff at this hotel was very polite (as always--I've stayed here before), this was a dreadful experience. I was placed on a floor between the rooms of a girl scout troop who awakened me just after I had fallen asleep (12:30 AM). The night manager (who did not answer the phone), changed my room--a room without the tv plugged in and with no bath towels (I discovered in the morning only after I had showered). I've been promised a return of SPG points--we'll see. Housekeeping has never been the best at this place.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sandy2 Our stay
We had a few issues with this room. We called ahead and were told our room was ready so we could arrive early but when we got there, it was not ready. We booked a queen traditional room and then had a King room. The toilet was very unstable--it rocked and was sitting on gobs of caulking which was also spread in various places about the bathroom. The bathtub took about 15 minutes to drain after the shower was turned off. Our room keys did not work in our room and had to be reactivated but then they were fine. The concierge services were excellent and everyone was friendly and helpful. We were just disappointed in the quality of the room. The location was very good also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ssebring1 Very Nice In Savannah
My wife and I are frequent visitors to historical Savannah. There are many hotels to select from in the historical district. At first glance, they may seem to all offer the same thing. However, the Four Points Sheraton goes beyond the others. The comfort of their beds alone is enough to bring my wife and I back. The staff was especially courteous and went the extra mile to make certain that we were enjoying our stay. The Four Points Sheraton will be our home away from home in Savannah.

Bought hotel room through Groupon and was given a little box room with a king bed the bathroom was at the end of the bed and the bed was next to the door where you could hear everything in the hallway including the ice machine which was right next to our room. all night the ice machine was being used and would make a horrible sound. we complained but was told the hotel was sold out. i have a bathroom bigger than this hotel room. horrible experience and will never go back

Rated 3 out of 5 by JRP04 Excellent staff, dated rooms, location not ideal
One of the friendliest and helpful staffs I've ever encountered - true Southern charm demonstrated by everyone we came in contact with. The suites were very small and the furniture was worn and dated. The location was not ideal - you're on the very edge of the historic district. I didn't want my family walking around the hotel after dark. I would recommend the hotel offering a shuttle service to the airport and to the center of the historic district.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rhonda23 Great Hotel
We stayed at this Four Points for 3 nights in early August. I cannot say enough about how friendly the entire staff was. Everyone we encountered who worked for the hotel gave us nothing but excellent service and did it with a smile on their face at all times. I have never stayed anywhere that had this great of a staff. The rooms are nice and the location is great. I would stay there again and would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hamans1 Terrible stay
I was very less than impressed with this place. Only offer valet, but the valet was very unorganized and the employees were very rude. Got to our room, which was very tiny for the price we paid. The grout in the bathroom was gross. They had no trash can in the room. I will say the bed was comfortable. I was also told I'd receive complimentary breakfast, which didn't happen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Vagabob Savannah impression
The cleanliness was way below par as we found clumps of hair in the shower drain, a murky coating on the shower stall glass enclosure and fecies on the back and underneath of the toilet seat. We asked for another room as we had requested a king size and were told that our choice was not available nor was there another room. Morning front office staff and the parking staff were most accommodating and friendly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2cents windows do not open
First room assigned (an SPG room) had an unbearable smell of body odor or dirty socks. That's when we discovered that the windows do not open. None do. Turned the fan of the A/C on and when returning a couple of hours later, the smell was even worse. Staff was accommodating and we switched rooms. No smell here, but a feeling of "no air" remained. The bathroom lighting is so bright it could light up an airport and can't be adjusted. Materials throughout the room and bathroom are cheapest possible. Disappointing and not up to the Four Points standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cindy7 Perfect example of Southern Hospitality!!
The entire hotel staff was great! Especially front desk and valet! We had a girl cousins reunion getaway (From Atlanta, Los Angeles and Houston) and it was perfect! The hotel's location is ideal for shopping and dining. The best part was that my cousins from Los Angeles were able to experience good ole Southern Hospitality!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by kandj39 Good hotel, bad fitness center
Good hotel with great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and smelled good. No good parking, so be prepared to use valet at $15. Good service with that though. There are other hotels close by with similar services and better fitness centers. The people working here smiled and greeted people very well though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Camp Staff very helpful
Every single employee we encountered was helpful. The location is great. Everywhere you need to go is in safe walking distance. Luther, the bartender, is one of the most elegant men I have ever met. I really enjoyed talking to him while I waited for our food. I will stay there next time I am in Savannah.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Curt Do Not Stay Here
As a Delta Plat in the SPG Crossover program I expected a lot more than rm 542. Little more than a closet it did not have the chair and ottoman that the rm I booked was to have. The bathroom was tiny and there was no room for even toiletries on the teeny vanity. Surprisingly, the valet attendant asked us if we liked our room and when we told him we didn't he asked if it was too small. He then asked if the picture of the room that we saw on your web site matched the actual room that we got. And he was right - it did not look anything like the photo on the web site. He then asked if our room faced the pool which it did. Those are the small ones he said. How do you justify putting a preferred customer in such a room. How do you justify even offering such a room? To top it off there was no shampoo in our room so they sent up a COFFEE CUP of shampoo. The light bulb in the bedside lamp is hanging by a wire and does not work. This hotel is nothing more than a run of the mill cheap hotel. Shame on you.

A little mix up when checking out, but they fixed the problem and didn't charge us for parking. We were in walking distance to everything. Loved the stay and everyone spoke at the hotel everytime they see you, even the cleaning lady. Very clean. Can't wait to come back!

This hotel is at walking distance of historic Savannah.
Be aware if you have a car with a manual transmission. The valet clerk says he can handle a stick, but he clearly cannot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AFRetiree Pleasantly surprised
The staff were extremely attentive and wanted to be sure our needs were met. Every time we encountered a staff member in the elevator they wanted to make sure our stay was pleasant and to let them know if we needed anything. Kean the bartender and Michelle (night manager?) were great. The concierge was also very helpful. The only criticism I would have is that the housekeeping staff took our not quite empty shampoo & conditioner containers out of the bathroom and did not replace them. We also had to wait over 30 minutes for a luggge cart when we were checking out. Other than that, our stay was great and we would definitely stay here again.
