Rated 4 out of 5 by worth considering Enjoyed our stay, courtesy bus was a great asset, otherwise cabs were readily available. Staff very helpful. November 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good stay I would recommend the hotel, I had a nice and relaxing stay, as I did a couple of years before too. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very nice and friendly and always tries to help with problems immedieately. The room was big and comfortable and what is for me very important very quiet. I will definitely stay there again. Thank you for making my stay a success. November 13, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst SPG Hotel ever Arrived at four points downtown dubai after a red eye flight from Bangkok at 10:30 am, exhausted and desperate for some yoga and shower before a 1 pm meeting. Instead, I had to spend 15 minutes with the trainee check-in agent arguing that I was in fact a platinum guest. He insisted I was not and i had to dig out my computer, have him in login with the lobby password (presumably because he did not trust me and would not want me to have free internet if I did not deserve it), and open my SPG account to show him that I was platinum. I was told that my room had been vacated, but not yet cleaned. I asked when it would be ready and they said 2 or 3 pm. Not ideal if you have a 1 pm meeting, haven't slept for 24 hours and are sweating like a pig from the Dubai heat. I asked that they have the cleaners prioritize cleaning my room, which they supposedly did. I was told to sit in the lobby. After asking after an hour about the room, i was told it was not yet cleaned. What hotel maid service takes an hour to clean a room is beyond me. At 90 minutes, I was truly angry. Any hope at salvaging some sort of rest before my meeting was squashed. I demanded the room and was finally given it. I showered and left the hotel with wet hair and a wrinkled suit (no time to iron). During all of this, no offer of tea, coffee, breakfast for the inconvenience. i realize i was checking in early, but 10:30 is not that early and I would have been fine to wait 15-20 minutes. Not 90 minutes when the room was already vacated and without any concern to make it a more pleasant experience for me. Room size is good and I have a kitchette, which is nice, but I can hear every squeak in the room next door. Not particularly pleasant to imagine what is going on there. Internet was not working in the room when I checked in. While i was out at the meeting, they fixed it. Compensation offered for the inconvenience - 1000 starpoints. Laughable. Manager has no sense of customer service, which is remarkable given the attitude of all other service workers in Dubai. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL Oh, and not that it would be expected, but all of this happened on my birthday. Nice personal service there. Not even a welcome amenity in the room. 2 weeks ago the Four Points Bur Dubai left a very nice spread of brownies and cakes. April 27, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Hotel, Good Location, Pathetic Staff The Hotel is maintained well, room was clean and falls in line with the general four points standards. Experience at the front desk and staff in general was the worst ever for me. The check-in process took almost 40 minutes followed by a 90 minute wait for the room, finally getting my room at around 16:00. The staff were unpleasant from start to finish. The hotel faciilites lists valet parking but there was no one at the front as I drove in. As there is no drop off drive way for this hotel, i could only stop on the public road for a short while. I parked outside and had to carry my luggage in. Check out was also another long wait, although I left before 11. November 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Will definitely stay here again My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was a fabulous hotel. All of the staff had great atttitudes and were so helpful and friendly, they went out of their way to make our stay extremely enjoyable. The hotel was spotlessly clean, we have never stayed in such a clean hotel. The meals were of a high standard and the free wifi in the lobby was a bonus. The addition of a cafe in the lobby for light snacks is a great idea which gave you a choice for either cafe style food or the restaurant. The rates for this hotel were great value for such a high standard hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we will stay there when we are next in Dubai. May 24, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Staff lack of professionlism I booked 2 nights stay and selected the breakfast as a welcome gift for Platinum. Then I booked an extension 2 nights via SPG site but when i requested the breakfast voucher, the reception lady said to get the breakfast, I need to check out and then check in after 24 hours to be able to get this gift for a new stay. That was miscible, the gift should be honored for the whole stay no matter if extension or new booking. After little argument, she went to talk to the font desk manager and off course they told he to provide the voucher for as long the guest is staying. She have knowing such things and trained well before providing wrong information to the VIP guest. March 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by a good hotel in bur dubai down town fresh hotel premises reasonable priced rooms roof top pool speedy service good rooms buffet + a la carte restaurants with reasonable pricing alcohol served at hotel good location towards old town, close to most points of interest November 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cosy hotel on excellent location We spent seven days in this hotel while on vacation. The hotel personell welcomed us with smile, already at entry door. The front desk people were professional and efficient. We got a room after one hour waiting, despite our early morning arrival (before our booked time). No problem to wait in the italian caffe. The room was just perfect, superbly maintained, well equiped, comfortable with an excellent bed. And window curtains provide total darkness for long, refreshing morning sleep. The pool and restaurant are fine, and the location is just perfect. The only drawback is missing wireless internet access in room. November 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hotel with excellent staff The hotel is conveniently located in close proximity to shopping malls, for someone who loves shopping as much as I do, the location is ideal. Every time we visit your hotel we enjoy the rooftop pool. All hotel staff cannot do enough for us every time we stay at this hotel (which is 4-5 times a year) and make us feel very welcome. Especially we want to commend F&B Manager Mr. Bernard and his team - Julie, Naomi, Chris (pity we missed Chris on our last visit!). Kudos to your hotel and your efficient and friendly staff! Rated 5 out of 5 by International Business As have stayed within the Four points by Sheraton Bur Dubai many times, for duration of stay most longer than a couple weeks per, the overall staff never fail to amaze me in how they care for the hotel, as their own home, not simply a place of employments. This was brought to light by the small one known to us as Swarna, with always a warm smile and always happy to please in services. The hotel location is close but not to close, and plenty for one to do should they wish to venture somewhat. October 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Service at checkin The Hotel staff did not recognise my status level, and did not offer any form of upgrade and the hotel was not full, and allocated the booked type of room on the first floor overlooking building site when the property had the same room category available on an upper floor, initially the check in staff member did not want to grant the 4.00pm checkout, and the door key was programmed for a 12.00 checkout, and had to get it recut on day of departure, I spoke to the front office duty manager on checkout gave him the details and concerns of the specific staff member and expressed my concerns of this property and also advised him that I would not stay there again due to poor performance December 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Limousine and amenities in the room 2 points I would like to bring to your attention: 1) Limousine: having the limousine drivers standing at the main gate the full day long and annoying me and I believe other customers as well is not nice. If someone wants a limousine, he will definitely find and call them. Let them be more discrete… You should see them in the morning!!! I already know your answer: NRA’s request, but… 2) Amenities: when I ask for cotton tips, I get from the guys a small pack with cotton, nail file and cotton tips. I believe that you throw a lot of non-used items when we only require cotton tips. I believe that it is a lot of throwing money… and that you can save money by “supplying” only the required amenity.. It give me great please then to have this opportunity to name Swarwa as my most, not excluding any others of the excellent staff and managements of this Hotel. Thank you.. Rated 4 out of 5 by A comfortable stay with helpful friendly staff The room was bigger than we had anticipated and it was clean with good facilities. Brealfast was a little embarrassing as I was questioned about paying in front of everyone but this was soon sorted out at reception. The coffee bar was lovely and the food and drink choices were great. The rooftop pool was lovely and although the view was just of downtown Dubai, it was still a lovely retreat. We ate in Yesterday's bar and the food (steak) was exceptional! The hotel was aimed more at the businessman; however we would still visit again. Check in and out was smooth and efficient. Well done! Rated 5 out of 5 by I'm saying, for business, this is a great place What do you want to know? -near the airport -five minutes from Sheik Zayed Road -ten minutes from dubai mall / downtown dubai -ten minutes from Karama (Indian) district -great nightclubs in the area of different cultures -great beds! I already miss sliding between those smooth, cotton sheets -uniformly friendly and attentive staff -each night, differently-themed buffet dinner. Generally pretty good, but always with ability to select one's own meat or fish for preparation to order... -Excellent Steakhouse / Pub. Steaks definitely compare with higher-priced "brands" in the City -plenty of space in the rooms, plenty of light; one can work in there for hours / days and not feel cramped or enclosed. -wifi is good, but can come up for renewal at inopportune times; such as in the midst of a conference Skype. Minor problem. -I've reviewed this place before; mentioning the excellent gym, fantastic masseuse (Janet) and now a renovated Pool Deck area on the rooftop. Also, universal outlets at the desk. 24-hour Spinneys is 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive away, with a little grocery store just around the corner from the hotel. FYI: no microwaves, but a small refrigerator and kettle. I wouldn't stay anywhere else, unless a client insisted on putting me at a luxury hotel ON the beach... November 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by They tried hard but ultimately failed I found this hotel online and it met my initial expectations, nice room, great bed that I have come to love from this brand. The service was good, but then I had a problem and it all went downhill fast. I booked a tour with the hotel and when they forgot to pick me up, nobody seemed to care or take responsibility. After speaking to several people and then demanding a resolution they finally gave me a lift. I got to my tour but without a voucher i needed so another round of calls and demands to get this fixed. The next day the staff said there was nothing they could do - well there is something I can do and that is not go there again. Being a gold member and a social media blogger you think they might consider the implications, but they just wanted me gone. They have their wish and my other hotels are thanking them for it. Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Price/Quality Hotel is located in not so popular district, however almost 50% less expensive than "downtown" hotels. With Taxis plentiful available at a very low costs, this hotel is actually a good location. October 28, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by False Alarm 3am tuesday morning was one i am unlikely to forget at the 4 Points Downtown Dubai Sheraton. The fire alarm went off and while people like me paniced on the 4th floor - the reception telephone remained engaged. Apart from being really afraid , i was quite agitated that nobody had bothered to call / check up or inform me to exlain the situation. Needless to say i was not impressed , when my call was finally connected to the front desk ,and i was told that it was just a false alarm. Safety / Security is a non negotiable factor when i choose hotel accomodation whilst travelling. April 3, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very disppointed I was disappointed with this hotel. There are 3 Fourpoint hotels in Dubai and it was misleading that this one that I stayed was called "downtown" when it is not at all. It is far and not near metro. Your website said that it has shuttles to the mall but the timings are ridiculous, that you must take the shuttle back to hotel at around 5pm? before dinner? Also, I booked a preferred room but was given a room right across and facing the elevator on the 2nd floor. It was noisy and had people banging on my door in the middle of night. I will not come back to this hotel anymore. March 2, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Google Maps GPS location not correct / laundry not delivered on time. Yes, this is the fault of Google, but management has the responsibility to ensure that all popular travel sites, books, service (such as online maps) have their address and coordinates correct. This caused me to lose about 2 hours out of the precious one day I had in Dubai for sightseeing. Also, I submitted laundry before 9pm which according to their form will be delivered the next afternoon. I had to check out and move to another hotel in Dubai, but my clothes were not back in time. To give the hotel credit for some good service, they did arrange to have my close delivered to my next hotel free of charge, but it was still an inconvenience because I needed those close that evening before they could be delivered. Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has large rooms and very friendly staff We were welcomed by all staff and all were very friendly and interested in making our stay pleasant and assisting us. Also, we found the room to be very spacious, making this a great place to stay especially if one is stuck inside due to the hot weather, and certainly would be suitable for children as well. The pool is pleasant though shade can at times be hard to come by, despite plenty of umbrellas provided. This is a good place to stay for a stopover, quite close to the airport and the old Dubai downtown, though taxi transport is needed to go to the newer areas. September 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by A must visit hotel in Dubai Although i am not a frequent traveler, i have visited Dubai for about 8 times and i must say that Four Points by Sheraton Hotel Downtown was one of the best experiences i ever had ! from the warm reception to the fast check in/out procedures as well as the spacious rooms available and overall service which made this visit a wonderful experience to remember October 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay.....as usual We've stayed at the hotel on numerous occasions & are always very satisfied with our visit.....hence the returns. The hotel is ideally located in " Old Dubai " for shopping / restaurants / bars etc & relatively close to the airport. The rooms are very spacious, clean & comfortable with tea / coffeee facilities a bonus. Now that the wifi is inclusive makes the hotel ideal for my future Dubai visits. October 6, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nothing Special In Dubai This hotel is truly nothing special. First and foremost, the downtown part is deceiving. It's not downtown anywhere. Its surrounded by a few other hotels, and about a dozen apartment buildings. The plot in front is a giant sand pit waiting for a building to be built. Be prepared, you will have to taxi it everywhere. Lobby is tight and dark. Lots of people huddle there since there is no WIFI. Seriously, you should make a disclaimer on your site. It was a nice shock when checking in. How can you operate a hotel without in room WIFI? Rooms are large, and a bit stale. Overall they are comfortable. Beds are firm, floor is big cold white tile. If you are looking for a basic hotel, this is it. Like I said, it' nothing special. March 27, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs lot of improvement I have been staying with this hotel regularly for last 5 months and my overall experience is not satisfactory. Very limited option in food menu, for breakfast and dinner combination is very strange not satisfactory at all, staff response is also very poor, house keeping is very poor, not proper cleaning during weekday, for weekend if green option selected no any attention given even asked repeatedly, system do not get updated properly, staffs are also not very courteous not fully aware of the spg program, no special attention for gold and platinum member.... Rated 3 out of 5 by Average hotel in Dubai I was not expecting much when I booked and checked into this hotel. The check-in clerk was not the friendliest person I have met. Other than that, staff, especially bell staff, were good. The toilet flush was not working well. It was fixed but then stopped working again. This caused inconvenience. There was no TV remote control in the room. The room was basic and looked out directly onto a block of flats - hence had to keep the curtains closed all the time. The hotel said 'Downtown' but is not in the Downtown district near the Burj Khalifa but is in Bur Dubai. So I was let down here as well. Overall, a very average hotel which is run down and not well maintained. I will not stay here again nor will I recommend it to anybody. December 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Conveinent/Comfortable/Superb Customer Service After a 20 hour flight and arriving much earlier than anticipated, the front desk staff acomodated my early arrival and quickly understood my main mission was to get some rest. My SPG status was recognized and was given a menu of goodies I could choose from (I elected the complimentary internet). The room was spacious, ultra clean, and comfortable. The furnishings were kind of a pseudo 70's modern clip and I enjoyed it. I did a the health spa massage and it was excellent (combo massage is the way to go), The pub grub and beer was excellent! Anyhow, I wanted to say thank you Four Points Downtown Dubai. I will definitely stay again as I travel through Dubai and stay longer with my wife when we arrive on holiday later on. Cheers! Rated 3 out of 5 by little things make the difference In general the hotel was OK - not more and not less... but this is not enough for a Sheraton hotel. When leaving the hotel in the late morning there were tablets with food rests on the ground - when returning late evening they still were there. Also the concierge service - very nice and helpful, but always wants you to sell expensive limousine services because they earn some extra money other then with good available taxis. Next time I will try the Sheraton at Dubai creek or the 4Points on Zayed Rd as they still offer a fine lodging for a reasonable price January 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good but there are always rooms for improvements I mostly stay here and happy with my experience stay but i have two major issues; - Room service is really slow, it takes 20 minutes to get a sandwich. Also they don't keep the breakfast ordering cards in the room and once used, i have to call again asking for another one for next day! - Internet, this is the major issue, it is not because it is expensive and the plan is not flexible but because wireless is not available in the rooms while sitting on the desk is not comfortable at all. Other than that, it is a great hotel and i consider it my Dubai home :) August 17, 2012
