Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Hotel, but needs improvement in food taste This is a good hotel with all facilities, but needs improvement in food (taste) especially on the vegetarian stuff. Options in veg is very low (or no options at all). I am an SPG Gold card member, but did not see any special recognition April 27, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Doesn't reflect SPG quality standard besides the great staff on breakfast restaurant, everything else was terrible. Suite upgrades were not honoured thogh there is available rooms (confirmed only if we use suite upgrades), Duty Manager promised to call and explains but never calls, room preference were clearly mentioned and recognised on every SPG hotels but not here, they simply put me in any rooms and refuse to change it claiming hotel is on 100% occupancy (again, not true as i can still book online for a room in this hotel). Receptions were rude and doorman were simply standing there chatting, GM never to be seen, should do an overhaul to improve service going forward. September 4, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bad Experience During check in staff was inattentive and preoccupied with other work to the point they could not cover my stay with you. When I asked a question about my billing, they were not very helpful. Also, your security staff accused me of having a female come to my room. When your hotel GM looked at the tape, she stated the film was not conclusive as to where the lady entered. I do not appreciate being accused of anything much less something like this. Your hotel GM was very nice and did her best to make me feel better about the situation but it does not give me reason to want to stay with you or suggest your hotel to my friends and family. Hotel was also in a good location, just wish it could be a bit closer to the metro stop. No complaints about the quality of the hotel. Great hotel for the value! April 24, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Hotel, Good Location, Pathetic Staff The Hotel is maintained well, room was clean and falls in line with the general four points standards. Experience at the front desk and staff in general was the worst ever for me. The check-in process took almost 40 minutes followed by a 90 minute wait for the room, finally getting my room at around 16:00. The staff were unpleasant from start to finish. The hotel faciilites lists valet parking but there was no one at the front as I drove in. As there is no drop off drive way for this hotel, i could only stop on the public road for a short while. I parked outside and had to carry my luggage in. Check out was also another long wait, although I left before 11. November 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Will definitely stay here again My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was a fabulous hotel. All of the staff had great atttitudes and were so helpful and friendly, they went out of their way to make our stay extremely enjoyable. The hotel was spotlessly clean, we have never stayed in such a clean hotel. The meals were of a high standard and the free wifi in the lobby was a bonus. The addition of a cafe in the lobby for light snacks is a great idea which gave you a choice for either cafe style food or the restaurant. The rates for this hotel were great value for such a high standard hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we will stay there when we are next in Dubai. May 24, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Staff lack of professionlism I booked 2 nights stay and selected the breakfast as a welcome gift for Platinum. Then I booked an extension 2 nights via SPG site but when i requested the breakfast voucher, the reception lady said to get the breakfast, I need to check out and then check in after 24 hours to be able to get this gift for a new stay. That was miscible, the gift should be honored for the whole stay no matter if extension or new booking. After little argument, she went to talk to the font desk manager and off course they told he to provide the voucher for as long the guest is staying. She have knowing such things and trained well before providing wrong information to the VIP guest. March 10, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Close to the Airport, that's it! The hotel is well equipped, however you do feel that this is an old hotel. It definitely needs some improvements. The AC for example has a mind of its own. The recycling air fan's noise is louder than the AC itself. TV channels are a disgrace, should add more channels asap. Staff are very friendly but very slow. More international electric plugs are needed. April 13, 2014

There are 3 Fourpoint hotels in Dubai and it was misleading that this one that I stayed was called "downtown" when it is not at all. It is far and not near metro. Your website said that it has shuttles to the mall but the timings are ridiculous, that you must take the shuttle back to hotel at around 5pm? before dinner? Also, I booked a preferred room but was given a room right across and facing the elevator on the 2nd floor. It was noisy and had people banging on my door in the middle of night. I will not come back to this hotel anymore. March 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Attentive staff and good rates The room which we have been given was very spacious and the entire staff (or at least those we met: Front Desk, Housekeeping, Concierge & Restaurant staff) were very friendly and attentive. Everybody was very welcoming when we passed by entering or leaving the building. The location was good since we could get to three metrostations and different supermarkets without any hassle. The pool on the rooftop has been nice as well. The rates at the Eatery restaurant and Yesterday pub were very reasonable. Can be recommended! March 24, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cosy hotel on excellent location We spent seven days in this hotel while on vacation. The hotel personell welcomed us with smile, already at entry door. The front desk people were professional and efficient. We got a room after one hour waiting, despite our early morning arrival (before our booked time). No problem to wait in the italian caffe. The room was just perfect, superbly maintained, well equiped, comfortable with an excellent bed. And window curtains provide total darkness for long, refreshing morning sleep. The pool and restaurant are fine, and the location is just perfect. The only drawback is missing wireless internet access in room. November 20, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Service at checkin The Hotel staff did not recognise my status level, and did not offer any form of upgrade and the hotel was not full, and allocated the booked type of room on the first floor overlooking building site when the property had the same room category available on an upper floor, initially the check in staff member did not want to grant the 4.00pm checkout, and the door key was programmed for a 12.00 checkout, and had to get it recut on day of departure, I spoke to the front office duty manager on checkout gave him the details and concerns of the specific staff member and expressed my concerns of this property and also advised him that I would not stay there again due to poor performance December 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Limousine and amenities in the room 2 points I would like to bring to your attention: 1) Limousine: having the limousine drivers standing at the main gate the full day long and annoying me and I believe other customers as well is not nice. If someone wants a limousine, he will definitely find and call them. Let them be more discrete… You should see them in the morning!!! I already know your answer: NRA’s request, but… 2) Amenities: when I ask for cotton tips, I get from the guys a small pack with cotton, nail file and cotton tips. I believe that you throw a lot of non-used items when we only require cotton tips. I believe that it is a lot of throwing money… and that you can save money by ���supplying” only the required amenity.. October 6, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Room issue * I've asked the recepionist to have a twin bed room as my twin bother was with me in my trip. but actually when i got into the room it was a king size bed room and i was not in a good mood to go again and argue with the staff to meet my requirement. small mistake can get the customer confused and may not come again to the same place. *i've phoned the hotel to book my room but the discussion with the hotel representative was a little bit tough so i decided to book via starwood website. The location is good and accessibility is excellent. Near to many places, many nearby eateries, food joints and supermarkets. Good food at the café and restaurants. April 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A comfortable stay with helpful friendly staff The room was bigger than we had anticipated and it was clean with good facilities. Brealfast was a little embarrassing as I was questioned about paying in front of everyone but this was soon sorted out at reception. The coffee bar was lovely and the food and drink choices were great. The rooftop pool was lovely and although the view was just of downtown Dubai, it was still a lovely retreat. We ate in Yesterday's bar and the food (steak) was exceptional! The hotel was aimed more at the businessman; however we would still visit again. Check in and out was smooth and efficient. Well done! Rated 3 out of 5 by False Alarm 3am tuesday morning was one i am unlikely to forget at the 4 Points Downtown Dubai Sheraton. The fire alarm went off and while people like me paniced on the 4th floor - the reception telephone remained engaged. Apart from being really afraid , i was quite agitated that nobody had bothered to call / check up or inform me to exlain the situation. Needless to say i was not impressed , when my call was finally connected to the front desk ,and i was told that it was just a false alarm. Safety / Security is a non negotiable factor when i choose hotel accomodation whilst travelling. April 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Google Maps GPS location not correct / laundry not delivered on time. Yes, this is the fault of Google, but management has the responsibility to ensure that all popular travel sites, books, service (such as online maps) have their address and coordinates correct. This caused me to lose about 2 hours out of the precious one day I had in Dubai for sightseeing. Also, I submitted laundry before 9pm which according to their form will be delivered the next afternoon. I had to check out and move to another hotel in Dubai, but my clothes were not back in time. To give the hotel credit for some good service, they did arrange to have my close delivered to my next hotel free of charge, but it was still an inconvenience because I needed those close that evening before they could be delivered. Room was big and clean and very quiet. Also the shuttle bus service was good. We enjoyed our 7 day stay and will definately be coming back. March 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has large rooms and very friendly staff We were welcomed by all staff and all were very friendly and interested in making our stay pleasant and assisting us. Also, we found the room to be very spacious, making this a great place to stay especially if one is stuck inside due to the hot weather, and certainly would be suitable for children as well. The pool is pleasant though shade can at times be hard to come by, despite plenty of umbrellas provided. This is a good place to stay for a stopover, quite close to the airport and the old Dubai downtown, though taxi transport is needed to go to the newer areas. September 17, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nothing Special In Dubai This hotel is truly nothing special. First and foremost, the downtown part is deceiving. It's not downtown anywhere. Its surrounded by a few other hotels, and about a dozen apartment buildings. The plot in front is a giant sand pit waiting for a building to be built. Be prepared, you will have to taxi it everywhere. Lobby is tight and dark. Lots of people huddle there since there is no WIFI. Seriously, you should make a disclaimer on your site. It was a nice shock when checking in. How can you operate a hotel without in room WIFI? Rooms are large, and a bit stale. Overall they are comfortable. Beds are firm, floor is big cold white tile. If you are looking for a basic hotel, this is it. Like I said, it' nothing special. March 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Friendly Hotel I have stayed many times at the 4Points Downtown Bur Dubai and have allows felt that staff were genuinely pleased to see me back, not like some establishments where the welcome is not sincere. The standard of cleanliness in my room was first class and all requests were met with a smile. Breakfast fare was varied and of a high standard and more than sufficient. I would like to mention some members of your team who have made a special effort to greet me with a ready smile and welcome each day! Miss Swarna in the coffee shop is always polite and helpful, Miss Julie in the restaurant at breakfast time always has a smile and friendly greeting. Your team on the reception and all the bell hops also have ready smiles and are extremely patient and helpful. I look forward to my return to the hotel with pleasure. February 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Average hotel in Dubai I was not expecting much when I booked and checked into this hotel. The check-in clerk was not the friendliest person I have met. Other than that, staff, especially bell staff, were good. The toilet flush was not working well. It was fixed but then stopped working again. This caused inconvenience. There was no TV remote control in the room. The room was basic and looked out directly onto a block of flats - hence had to keep the curtains closed all the time. The hotel said 'Downtown' but is not in the Downtown district near the Burj Khalifa but is in Bur Dubai. So I was let down here as well. Overall, a very average hotel which is run down and not well maintained. I will not stay here again nor will I recommend it to anybody. December 20, 2012
