My stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. All of the staff made me feel very welcome at all times which was very nice.
The location was ok, but having the shuttle busses made it a little easier to get around. Although i would recommend a car or taxis.
Taxis were a problem in getting to the hotel as there are a few in the area. They kept taking me to the wrong hotel even when i provided them with a card from the hotel with the address. Be careful of this.
All in all, a great place to stay. Nice food, good variety at breakfast and the beds were comfortable.

The hotel was great in every way, starting with its location near the Al Fahidi metro station. The breakfast was exceptional and we were amazed by the friendly and helpful staff. The room as well as the facilities, in particular the gym and pool, were absolutely satisfactory regarding both size and condition. Finally, it is worth mentioning, that Jeffry at the lobby arranged without any charge, that we could already use our room at 11 am instead of 15 pm, as stated in the conditions. All in all, a very pleasant stay in a very nice hotel with great staff.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a very good breakfast and meals at night change daily. Also for a nice delight, there is the sports bar for a simple but filling meal. Easy access to transport or trains to get to the tourist sites as well.

I love it .. I have been staying here since it opened. Great people, nicely located, elegent contemporary interior. However, recently, the TV channels were changed, thus, OSN channels disappeared! Also, in the suites living room, TV has limited and terrible channels. This has been a problem for several years. I raised it with the management several times but still no action taken. I also think, it is time to change the bed mattress, it is becoming curvy.
I enjoy this place for the warm welcoming I always get from the staff.

Had a very good stay. Recommend a bidet shower for the bathroom. Responses from the staff was excellent. The Front Office Manager was extremely polite, helpful and tactful.
Always check with Bell Desk for taxi hire charges from the hotel. Sometimes it can be AED 10 or more compared to a normal taxi service.

Have just had two weeks at the 4 Points in Mankhool, Dubai. I honestly cannot think of anything bad to say. The standard of cleanliness was exemplary and attention to detail superb. The breakfast staff knew our names from Day 2 and we were greeted every time we entered the hotel. Services were excellent - the Internet was fast, the pool and health club were great environments to be in and the bar downstairs was friendly and had a really nice atmosphere. You really felt like you were with people who knew what they were doing.

The room which we have been given was very spacious and the entire staff (or at least those we met: Front Desk, Housekeeping, Concierge & Restaurant staff) were very friendly and attentive. Everybody was very welcoming when we passed by entering or leaving the building.
The location was good since we could get to three metrostations and different supermarkets without any hassle.
The pool on the rooftop has been nice as well.
The rates at the Eatery restaurant and Yesterday pub were very reasonable.
Can be recommended!

The hotel staff was excellent, especially the young men at the concierge's desk. The front desk staff sometimes had a hard time listeneing to what you were trying to tell them. Room was comfortable and clean. We used suite night awards and received a suite upgrade from the standard room. The location is the only thing that didn't impress us. We would like something closer to the metro, so that we can just use that and a occasional taxi to get around. Walking to far is not an option, even though we enjoy walking and talking to the locals. However, its to hot to walk more than a 1/4 mile or so. Not much to walk to around the hotel so a taxi is a must. The hotel provided a shuttle to the DUBAI mall and Jumeira beach. Drop off and pickup in the afternoon. It was much appreciated.

I chose this location as I was on a tight budget and needed a clean, comfortable hotel not too far from the airport or from DIFC. I really enjoyed my stay here -- the staff was courteous, always offering to call me a cab or take my bag(s) up to my room. The iftar buffet was really good, and the waiter made a special effort to check and arrange decaf coffee as per my request. Oh, and the gym is pretty good, although the pool was closed for renovation so I could not check it out.

Negative: - The room was so dirty.
- I faced a problem with the water heater in my bathroom, as the hot water only lasts for two minutes and then cut off. I asked the hotel to fixe the problem, they sent me one of the workers twice but without any benefit, so I toke the shower under the cold water in this cold weather.
- The Room service doesn't have a lot of choices for vegetarians people.
- A small swimming pool and not deep
- I didn't like the breakfast, It wasn't diverse.

Reasonably priced and good location, this hotel offers good facilities for business and leisure travel. Worth mention is the warmth of the staff in coffee shop at breakfast time and courtesy of the reception and concierge desk. Rooms are comfortable, especially the beds and linen. However, there is excess storage furniture that eats up the living space. Bathrooms could be more comfortable, especially the bath fittings - flow and force of shower in my room left much to be desired and the wash basin was clogged often. The hair dryer was in one of the drawers and I noticed it only when leaving! Thoughtful of the hotel management to provide complimentary shuttles to the beach and malls. Overall, nice hotel that could give significantly more value with some minor thought through changes.

I have been coming to this hotel since several years now and have really almost always (95-98%) had a very positive experience. The hotel is clean, wel situated, has a magnificent staff which does not change continiously (signs that the hotel is a good place), confortable beds, necessary ammenities and offers an unbeatable value for the price paid.
The "negative" issues are really very marginal and have always been treated immediately to my complete satisfaction.

We stayed with three kids and choose this hotel on the basis it had connecting rooms and an outdoor swimming pool. To find out when we arrived the pool was closed. Would we have know we would have changed hotels. We made a point about this and when we checked out, the manager mentioned that we could have free breakfast..,nice, but two hours before departure time? How difficult would it have been to tell about the pool or the free compensating breakfast before it was to late.

My stay was overall good. There are few things that need attention. Internet should be accessible free in room as well, what difference does it make whether you in the lobby or in your room, you still using it. I was asked to pay AED100 for a Preferred room although the reservation asked AED100 for a junior suite. I could not take the suite as i needed two beds. Spg members are normally offered these rooms at no extra charge as it is exactly the same as standard besides couple extra amenities.

There was never a day, where i could complain about or post any negative comments about this Hotel.
Right from the Bell boys, Receptionist ,Security, etc etc ..the list just goes on, who made our stay most memorable which we will always remember. It was so good that we even extended our stay for an additional 3 nights. Mr Anthony, Wasim, Chris, Deverat, Ina,Mr Gregor, the names who we recall...... made our stay comfortable and memorable.
Breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices.

* I've asked the recepionist to have a twin bed room as my twin bother was with me in my trip.
but actually when i got into the room it was a king size bed room and i was not in a good mood to go again and argue with the staff to meet my requirement.
small mistake can get the customer confused and may not come again to the same place.
*i've phoned the hotel to book my room but the discussion with the hotel representative was a little bit tough so i decided to book via starwood website.

I have stayed many times at the 4Points Downtown Bur Dubai and have allows felt that staff were genuinely pleased to see me back, not like some establishments where the welcome is not sincere.
The standard of cleanliness in my room was first class and all requests were met with a smile.
Breakfast fare was varied and of a high standard and more than sufficient.
I would like to mention some members of your team who have made a special effort to greet me with a ready smile and welcome each day!
Miss Swarna in the coffee shop is always polite and helpful, Miss Julie in the restaurant at breakfast time always has a smile and friendly greeting.
Your team on the reception and all the bell hops also have ready smiles and are extremely patient and helpful.
I look forward to my return to the hotel with pleasure.

Stayed in this hotel end of March 2013. All I can say is i was more then please with the location away from the main city hassle and bustle, yet so close to travel there. The staff was the best bit for me, they are awesome, very friendly and always made an effort to strike a conversation. rooms and hotel itself is more then I had expected for the cheaper price range for a hotel in Dubai. overall a fantastic hotel and I will definitely be staying here again when I return to Dubai.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and despite the defects in facilities (no Wi-Fi in rooms so tablets cannot be used, tired gym with no individual videos, tired pool) price and location suited me. The main plus of the hotel was the staff - friendly and always trying to please. Unfortunately standards appear to be slipping - with the laundry being the latest example. My last stay cost me a suit and a pair of trousers due to an apparent inability to understand 'dry c;eaning'

You have done an excellent move with the "Go Green" program.
In my point of view, you can go further: with the Go gReen prog you do not change bedsheets for 3 days.
And do you think if you ask the customers (all customers) to accept to change the linnens every second or third day.
As I put it myself, who change the bed sheets at home every day?? I really doubt it. My wife does it once a week or 3 times / 15 days...
All of us nowadays are aware of any environment / ecology issue and you have to stress this point. And I am pretty sure that customers will accept.
On the other hand, make sure that "go Green" prog does not mean DND. House keeping staff have to go into the romms and check...
once more and as I told the guys there, in your hotel "I feel home away from home".

Basically the hotel is very good and comfortable.
The problem is that the restaurants are quite poor and certainly not up to the standard expected in such a hotel. I suspect they are now focussing on the tour package industry. This would not generally be too important but unfortunately there are no other restaurants nearby, too far to walk, and it is inconvenient to take a taxi each time to eat.
I hope the catering can be improved because the hotel would then be excellent.

This has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed at. From the the time we stepped out of the taxi on arrival until departure we found every single staff member to be friendly and helpful, and always with a smile. All aspects of the hotel were clean and first rate. Our room was large and very comfortable with everything you could require. The food at breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice in a smart dinning area.
I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

On arrival at 2 a.m. the Room was not ready, as a matter of fact : there was NO room available at all; we had to look for another hotel for the night. the next day at 2:30 p.m. there was still no room available, despite a reservation; after 30 minutes a 'spg preferred room' was made available : right opposite the elevator. It was impossible to sleep as the noise from arriving and departing guests outside in the corridor was disturbing, overall a very bad experience.

. This was my first stay at this property. I chose it because I could easily reach it from the airport by Metro. Getting to Al Fahidi Station (closest to the hotel) was quick although it does require a transfer to the Green Line at Bur Juman, and the walk from the station with 2 bags took about 10 minutes. The front desk staff recognized my platinum status and gave me a well-appointed, extremely spacious room. As I was only there over night, I didn't really have a chance to sample any of the facilities except the restaurant, which offered an ample breakfast with sufficient variety. Although the hotel is in a mostly residential neighborhood, its proximity to the Metro and it's shuttle service to Dubai Mall make it an inviting and well-situated choice for those in Dubai for business or leisure. I'd definitely stay again.
