Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptional location and service I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past few years. While spending some 200+ nights in Starwood hotels worldwide annually, I can say that this is one of the best. It's not a luxury hotel, but it is very well maintained, clean, in a great location and the staff is simply outstanding year in and year out. The bell staff, housekeeping, front desk and room service staff are some of the most helpful and friendly people working in Starwood globally. I choose this hotel over other Starwoods and non-Starwood hotels in Sydney and highly recommend it to any tourist or business traveller. January 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Stay with Great View The stay was great in general. With the different kinds of pillows to choose from, the comfort of the bed linen; these certainly made the sleep well and comfortable. The only setback was the bathroom especially the door. Probably, it's the winter season, the temperature tends to be more chilling. The door fitting wasn't a good fit at all. The gap of the door height from the floor level was pretty big; the cool air from the room will get into the bathroom. Thus, the exchange of temperature just doesn't allow one to enjoy the bath; probably a quick one instead. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by wonderful time When I arrived at motel. was greeted by a very friendly staff member that directed to the check in counter, where again was greeted in a very friendly manner. we where asked if we wanted an up grade to a harbour view room for minimal charge, the room and view was excellent, went i arrived into the room i had a phone call from reception asking if all was satisfactory, I mention that the sliding door to bathroom had a terrible grinding noise, some one was there to fix it in 1/2 an hour of the complaint all the staff where very friendly and made my stay easy. had a great time with excellent views I didn't even close the blinds in the room I went to sleep to the light and sights of darling harbour February 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Supreme Staff and location Overall, Staff pay particular attention to you and your needs to ensure a pleasant stay. The location of the hotel abeam to Darling Harbour, a very short walk, and within the Sydney CBD, amongst every attraction Sydney has to offer, says it all. But, the service from the friendly professional Staff, each one a fine Sheraton Ambassador makes each stay very enjoyable; especially from Bhakiva ?? at the Front Desk; Johnson ?? in the Concierge Section; and Mustafa ?? the Bar Person in the historically listed, National Trust sandstone inn/bar area. Rated 2 out of 5 by Shrug Sick of expensive hotels charging for internet which is slow and poor. It just means that people are all lolling round on the shabby sofas in reception to get the free 2 hours. rooftop bar nice but not open at lunch time to take advantage of good weather. when its chilly in the evenings the heaters are there but have run out of gas so not on! Also bar not open Sunday or Monday! Staff in bar on roof most unhelpful and in lobby with a couple of exceptions. Having stayed a total of 12 days during our trip the second room was not good and the first one there was the sound of constant drilling May 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by great Stay Spent a little more then two weeks in this hotel in Darling Harbour Sydney. Very Good location, close to everything, Very helpful staff. Very Good beds and a surprise for the fitness center. Breakfast not included - negative. Free internet in the lobbay - but charge in the rooms. Very strange for me coming from Europe. Haven't experienced charge for internet in Europe, US or China for MANY years. Recommendation: Ask if a guest want the minibar filled or empty, We would have appreciated it empty as we used it as a fridge for the things be bought such as fruits and big bottles of sparkling water. Stop charging Breakfast far to expensive. The coffe was really awful by the way! You can do much better! January 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Pleasant stay, balcony room not exceptional for the price Booked deluxe harbour view room with balcony. On arrival at 2.50pm room not ready (staff commented they had 400 rooms to clean today. My cooment - isnt that usual for a large hotel?). Offered to pay an upgrade fee for higher grade room if available and was offered a premium deluxe harbour view with balcony. Room was nothing special and unclear what I paid extra for. Room not large, only one soft chair to sit and admire scenery in a balcany room designed fir 2. Was told thisis standard but staff did bring another soft chair when requested. No balcony furnitue so couldnt sit on balcony, just stand briefly and admire scenery. I would recommend booking a standard room and going out to see the scenery!!! December 15, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hotel This hotel is pretty nice but really expensive for its proximity to the Sydney CBD which is exactly what I was looking for so I was satisfied. The hotel staff was nice, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the city. I was however disappointed that the expensive price tag didn't include free internet, really that is the least they could do for the price they are charging. After a day of exploring the city, museums, zoo, etc it would have been nice to relax in the room and share photos with friends. August 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Customer Service Very pleased with the customer service from SPG staff from check-in through to check-out. I had a business booking followed by a personal booking and without having to request it, the staff checking me in organised for me to stay in the same room for the duration of the stay. At check-out time, I was impressed to see staff were already primed and organised to take the luggage requiring storage for the day again without having to request it. When we came back to collect at the end of the day they took it straight to a cab they hailed for us. Very pleased with my stay at SPG. Thanks. December 17, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Very DISSAPOINTED!!! I paid for my son and daughter in law to have a luxurious night in Sydney and soo let down!!! Vallet parking NOT friendly. No one explained about what Hotel had to offer. Bathroom unacceptable. Mould in shower,sink didnt drain. Room small and over priced for what it was.TV cutting in and out. No verander.My son was charged on his credit card $100.00 and nothing was used in room! In hallway,someones breakfast tray still sitting there at night when they got back. The standard is unacceptable. My son would never go back and neither would I. VERY Dissapointed and let down. May 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Update required on mattresses I hadn't stayed at Four Points for a number of years so I was excited to stay there again. Whilst I understand that the rooms had been upgraded, there is still something requiring attention - your mattresses. There was actually a 'dip' on the right hand side of the bed so I was forced to alternate between the centre of the bed and left hand side. The mattress was also quite soft, so overall - not very comfortable at all unfortunately (and resulted in lower back pain). I also believe the $7 surcharge for room service to be quite steep when other hotels charge between $3 and $5. October 15, 2013

Good location, accessible to various attractions within walking distance 3. Friendly and helpful front desk staff and concierge Con 1. No slipper, tooth brush, comb provided 2. Bathing was unpleasant - water was too hot. When shifting the mixer tap to the cold end, minimal water came out. Essentially, can't get a comfortable bath at all (I actually have relatively high tolerance to hot water) 3. Insufficient advice for breakfast options. I was not told I could order the order the omelette from the service staff. Breakfast menu too repetitive day after day, only minimal changes of 2-3 dishes 4. Wardrobe was a little dusty May 26, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by experience not inline with Gold Membership status This room was booked by a gold member for his wife to stay for one night. The room was not a queen room (that was OK - but the twin beds made the roome very small.) I ate my lunch of ceaser salad on the floor in front of the TV as the desk was small with not a lot of room. I pack lightly for the one night and expected there to be robe in the room to use - there wasnt. I expected to be able to dry my hair in the bathroom - but the powerpoint didn't work in there, I was running late so ordered lunch in the room of a ceaser salad and didn't expect to be charged a $7 delivery fee?? Rated 3 out of 5 by Paid wifi speed is very slow I paid for whole week of wifi at 50$ for three days and there after, every hour is $5. The only thing that I remember was waiting for my emails to send and to load web pages until I fell asleep every night. Even though I paid for the wifi when I first checked in, I cannot surf web pages smoothly without waiting for even an hour just to load a news website. How I know? I bought an hour at $5 and I only managed to click my second news link until the time is up. Free wifi at darling park is way faster than this money vampire wifi. Work wise, I only managed to send 3 work emails. March 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Newly Renovated Hotel with a Great View of the Habour I stayed 11 nights in this hotel for a business trip as was upgraded to the premium deluxe room. The rooms are very newly renovated, clean and with a great view of the Habour. However breakfast service needs major improvement. There is extremely long queue in some of the mornings and it is not because there are no tables but because the staff could not handle the guests and allocate the tables efficiently during the morning peak. (can take up to 10 mins to allocate you to one of the empty tables for some morning peaks) Also, I waited for almost 20 - 30 mins for my cappuccino to arrive on some mornings, and didn't get my cappuccino at all on some others (I usually take my breakfast for about 30 mins) despite checking with the staff a couple of times. Rated 5 out of 5 by Service and staff made our stay even more enjoyable I would like to thank Mable from in house reservation for her wonderful customer service who helped me with my booking I had called on the Friday were I was checked in to the Season on Darling Harbour, the room that I was checked into was absolutely discussing very bad smell and dirty... I rang FourPoints and ask for in house reservations and that's when Mable came to the rescue!!! I had explain to Mable it is our 19th year Wedding Anniversary and I'm checking out of this place if she can find me a room, with out a blink she provided me with a package that was more than I could ask for... she made our weekend stay an absolute dream. Thank you Marble, also the candy sent to our room was a magic touch. thank you March 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff were the perfect combination of professionalism & friendlness My recent stay at the Four Points by Sheraton at Darling Harbour was a lovely experience. Your staff are to be congratulated. They performed they jobs with a wonderful mix of down to earth friendliness and professionalism. My daughter & I were treated with respect and felt very welcome. A special mention to your porter who met us at the entrance of the hotel. His name is Tony & he was a perfect first impression to your hotel. Rated 3 out of 5 by Unsatisfactory Service Although the room was comfortable, I found the customer service to be below unsatisfactory. Upon arrival at Four Points at approx 3pm, I waited approx 30mins to gain access to our room. I was told that our room had not been released in the system and we continued to wait. When we finally arrived at the room, I found we were issued a standard room, rather than the Premium City View room which I had purchased. Once I discovered this, I contacted concierge and 15mins later a member of concierge arrived with a new key to the correct room. Approx 45-50mins was wasted which was considerably inconvenient given our time to prepare for our evening function was vastly limited. I will be hesitant to book your hotel in future. Rated 3 out of 5 by Disasterous renovation I have been an SPG member since the 80's and this ranks as disappointing a stay as we had in Moorea some years ago. The rooms have been renovated and are poorly designed: Lighting is terrible and poorly positioned, there are few drawers to put anything, let alone clothes, the 'desk' is too close to the bed so no one can pass by without moving the chair out of the way, etc., etc. Lots of irritating niggles - a result of design for looks rather than practicality. We also had problems with the air conditioning. The worst experience however was room service - the food was appalling and in the most part inedible. Not a one off as we tried a number of selections from the menu and ALL were well below par. Really poor effort. November 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by exceptional service, great location I stayed here for my birthday with my youngest daughter, we arrived early (8.30am) and when I went to leave my bag with the concierge he recommeded to see if we could check in - the room was ready and we could .... I have never stayed somewhere where the hotel will be this flexible!! I called 'solutions' with questions (room service with allergies) and they were exceptional, very understanding and I felt reasured. It is worth mentioning that the location has to be one of the best in the city. You walk out the back of the hotel and you are at the aquarium. wonderful. January 29, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location close to Darling Harbour and CBD Hotel is in a great location, close to Darling Harbour, King Street wharf and all the attractions of that precinct. It's also right in the CBD so good for shopping as well. Staff were excellent and very pleasant. Harbour side room had nice views across Darling Harbour and the room, whilst not large was a reasonable size. The only drawback for some is lack of parking. Parking is very handy opposite but cost $104 for my two night stay. Not a big deal given it's so close but could be a factor for some. All up a good stay and I would recommend the hotel to friends. Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolute Bliss What an amazing experience we had this weekend. When we arrived at the hotel (2 hours before check in) the staff on reception were so accomodating in regards to swapping our rooms around so we could check in then. The beds are THE most comfortable hotel beds we have EVER slept on and we made that abundantly clear to the staff as we checked out. The room was clean and had all the amenities. It was nice to have the choice of a wine glass or champagne glass for example. We were within 5 minutes walking distance to darling harbour and same to George street so a great location also. Even when my shoes rubbed my feet i was offered bandaids and had them brought straight to my room. An amazing stay and will definitely be back! September 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Hotel that has amazing views but more importantly "HOSPITALITY I booked the Four Points Darling Harbour for Australia Day, as I was bringing my grandson who has autism from Perth as a treat to see the fireworks. I booked the city view room for the 3 nights and asked if possible for a upgrade and explained the situation, well when we got to our room it was amazing !! On the top floor with the best views ever, we were so lucky. The Hotel staff were all so friendly, and the rooms spacious, immaculate and even though the hotel was very busy being a holiday weekend, we never had any disturbance or noise at all. I was very impressed by the level of "good people skills" that the staff showed, as it makes a huge difference to the overall hotel experience. I would defiantly recommend this hotel. Rated 3 out of 5 by Busy Monday night in August corporate traveller with specific room type booked. only room offered to me was disabled (no issue with that), but room was missing iron and ironing board (had to be requested) and the bathroom/shower arrangement needs attention as following a shower the whole floor was flooded, meaning i slipped and nearly injured myself. hate to think how a disabled traveller would cope...... hotel undergoing renovations too = noise wherever you are... Rated 1 out of 5 by attitude problem of a SPG staff even in platinum counter As a life time platinum member and stayed over 1,000 nights in SPG properties in last 10+ years. I experienced one of the poorest service personnel from Four Point Sheraton Sydney. I requested to check out 2 room types that offered to me. But the lady seemed unwilling and treated me as a unwelcome guest not even answered my questions with a stern face on the way to see the room. I was treated as beggar seeking for welfares. Steve, the manager who took me to see the other room was different. He carried all the respects, smiles and pleasant face and treated me as welcome guest. The lady (not mentioned her name here) was disgraced the hospitality of SPG. It was a misfortunate to see such staff in SPG property after 1000+ nights. July 8, 2013

However, it is not the bricks and sand which makes this hotel a comfortable place bu the human resource and their sensitivity about the fact that they deal with tourists from all over the world. Therefore the team or the hotel has to be extremely professional in its approach in taking the responsibility of their actions no matter how right or wrong. August 21, 2014
