Clean, comfortable and well located next to Darling Harbour, but with many "hidden" costs making the stay very expensive. (eg. internet, breakfast, credit card fee, ...)

Overall, Staff pay particular attention to you and your needs to ensure a pleasant stay. The location of the hotel abeam to Darling Harbour, a very short walk, and within the Sydney CBD, amongst every attraction Sydney has to offer, says it all.
But, the service from the friendly professional Staff, each one a fine Sheraton Ambassador makes each stay very enjoyable; especially from Bhakiva ?? at the Front Desk; Johnson ?? in the Concierge Section; and Mustafa ?? the Bar Person in the historically listed, National Trust sandstone inn/bar area.
I always enjoy my stays here.

During our stay at the Sheraton Darling Harbour, we found everything to be exceptional -the staff were professional and friendly and helpful. The environment ( Hotel lobby, breakfast and restaurant area etc) was great and it was extremely convenient to Darling Harbour.
Our room was lovely, and although there were only views of the neighbouring buildings, we expected that as we had booked city side. We did enjoy the view over the Darling Harbour from the rooftop bar, and on the Saturday night watched the fireworks, which was great.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and we plan to stay again.

The hotel got a great location - no doubts. However, it is not the bricks and sand which makes this hotel a comfortable place bu the human resource and their sensitivity about the fact that they deal with tourists from all over the world. Therefore the team or the hotel has to be extremely professional in its approach in taking the responsibility of their actions no matter how right or wrong.

Booked to stay based on the content of the package on offer. On arrival I had to ask for the features that were advertised in the package and was told they are subject to availability.....well i would think it there aren't any rooms left to offer this package don't sell them!!! Its simple really. On the internet the rooms looked refurbished.....well not our room. How about say that in the booking process - by the way your room is cheaper as we are putting you on a crap floor where the rooms are a dump! Totally misleading, and on check out they tried to charge us for the complimentary in house movie that was also in the package. Finally the buffet service - uncovered food - mmm no thanks!

I stayed 11 nights in this hotel for a business trip as was upgraded to the premium deluxe room. The rooms are very newly renovated, clean and with a great view of the Habour.
However breakfast service needs major improvement. There is extremely long queue in some of the mornings and it is not because there are no tables but because the staff could not handle the guests and allocate the tables efficiently during the morning peak. (can take up to 10 mins to allocate you to one of the empty tables for some morning peaks) Also, I waited for almost 20 - 30 mins for my cappuccino to arrive on some mornings, and didn't get my cappuccino at all on some others (I usually take my breakfast for about 30 mins) despite checking with the staff a couple of times.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past few years. While spending some 200+ nights in Starwood hotels worldwide annually, I can say that this is one of the best. It's not a luxury hotel, but it is very well maintained, clean, in a great location and the staff is simply outstanding year in and year out. The bell staff, housekeeping, front desk and room service staff are some of the most helpful and friendly people working in Starwood globally. I choose this hotel over other Starwoods and non-Starwood hotels in Sydney and highly recommend it to any tourist or business traveller.

corporate traveller with specific room type booked. only room offered to me was disabled (no issue with that), but room was missing iron and ironing board (had to be requested) and the bathroom/shower arrangement needs attention as following a shower the whole floor was flooded, meaning i slipped and nearly injured myself. hate to think how a disabled traveller would cope......
hotel undergoing renovations too = noise wherever you are...

We recently stayed at Four Points by Sheraton whilst visiting Sydney to see our family and friends. It was a very welcome return and some hotel staff were very familiar to us, and exceptionally friendly and helpful - Tony in the driveway was a very welcome sight, as was Julie in the Restaurant and Garry the Concierge. They are excellent staff and a credit to Four Points. Since our last visit the hotel has refurbished the guest rooms - the beds are still very very comfortable and the rooms clean and inviting. We had some friends with us who were visiting Sydney for the first time and they particularly enjoyed the location of the hotel and its close proximity to Darling Harbor and the CBD. A welcome addition to the hotel is the outdoor bar on Level 11. It's a very relaxing spot to have a cocktail at dusk and enjoy the views. We will be back! Thank you.

The ease of check in, friendly efficient staff, and most important, very comfortable bed and PILLOWS. We arrived from airport after overnight night flight, very tired, quickly to rooms and able sleep for a number of hours,
Great location. We will book in future when coming to Sydney or other travel

When I arrived at motel. was greeted by a very friendly staff member that directed to the check in counter, where again was greeted in a very friendly manner. we where asked if we wanted an up grade to a harbour view room for minimal charge, the room and view was excellent, went i arrived into the room i had a phone call from reception asking if all was satisfactory, I mention that the sliding door to bathroom had a terrible grinding noise, some one was there to fix it in 1/2 an hour of the complaint all the staff where very friendly and made my stay easy. had a great time with excellent views I didn't even close the blinds in the room I went to sleep to the light and sights of darling harbour

Meals are overpriced and maintenance on equipment needs to be better. You have a balcony but no chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Sofa bed in room but no sheets to go with it. Tv reception not good quality .

Sick of expensive hotels charging for internet which is slow and poor. It just means that people are all lolling round on the shabby sofas in reception to get the free 2 hours.
rooftop bar nice but not open at lunch time to take advantage of good weather. when its chilly in the evenings the heaters are there but have run out of gas so not on! Also bar not open Sunday or Monday! Staff in bar on roof most unhelpful and in lobby with a couple of exceptions. Having stayed a total of 12 days during our trip the second room was not good and the first one there was the sound of constant drilling

Haven't stayed here before but will definitely do so in future. The rooms are great, the staff are fabulous, it is close to shopping, transport etc, and the view of Darling Harbour is superb if you have a room facing it!

Booked deluxe harbour view room with balcony. On arrival at 2.50pm room not ready (staff commented they had 400 rooms to clean today. My cooment - isnt that usual for a large hotel?). Offered to pay an upgrade fee for higher grade room if available and was offered a premium deluxe harbour view with balcony. Room was nothing special and unclear what I paid extra for. Room not large, only one soft chair to sit and admire scenery in a balcany room designed fir 2. Was told thisis standard but staff did bring another soft chair when requested. No balcony furnitue so couldnt sit on balcony, just stand briefly and admire scenery. I would recommend booking a standard room and going out to see the scenery!!!

Spent a little more then two weeks in this hotel in Darling Harbour Sydney. Very Good location, close to everything, Very helpful staff. Very Good beds and a surprise for the fitness center.
Breakfast not included - negative. Free internet in the lobbay - but charge in the rooms. Very strange for me coming from Europe. Haven't experienced charge for internet in Europe, US or China for MANY years.
Recommendation: Ask if a guest want the minibar filled or empty, We would have appreciated it empty as we used it as a fridge for the things be bought such as fruits and big bottles of sparkling water.
Breakfast far to expensive. The coffe was really awful by the way! You can do much better!

I paid for my son and daughter in law to have a luxurious night in Sydney and soo let down!!! Vallet parking NOT friendly. No one explained about what Hotel had to offer. Bathroom unacceptable. Mould in shower,sink didnt drain. Room small and over priced for what it was.TV cutting in and out. No verander.My son was charged on his credit card $100.00 and nothing was used in room! In hallway,someones breakfast tray still sitting there at night when they got back. The standard is unacceptable. My son would never go back and neither would I. VERY Dissapointed and let down.

1. Superb harbour view, could see the firework and fountains directly from the room
2. Good location, accessible to various attractions within walking distance
3. Friendly and helpful front desk staff and concierge
1. No slipper, tooth brush, comb provided
2. Bathing was unpleasant - water was too hot. When shifting the mixer tap to the cold end, minimal water came out. Essentially, can't get a comfortable bath at all (I actually have relatively high tolerance to hot water)
3. Insufficient advice for breakfast options. I was not told I could order the order the omelette from the service staff. Breakfast menu too repetitive day after day, only minimal changes of 2-3 dishes
4. Wardrobe was a little dusty

From the moment of booking via the phone to checking out things went wrong. Was disappointed in the staff not listening to issues or offering assistance to help. Having spent 40 minutes on the phone booking I would have expected everything I was told on the phone to be correct but no. Arrived to hear no parking was included as promised, breakfast was a different price to quoted and a deluxe harbour view king room that was the size of a shoebox.

Unfortunately the room did not have proper running water in the bathroom sink. Only a mild mist came out and I don't know why I bothered to persevere with it for a whole week. This is a simple necessity for any room of any star level. You'd think the last time it was cleaned someone would notice. Which can only mean that it was known about, but would rather rent the room out for a buck than have it empty being fixed during a peak period.
In addition the room was rather cold during the night (even with the aircon maxed out). I decided to grab an extra blanket from the wardrobe cupboard, but there was none. Luckily I had 2 single beds and grabbed the cover from the spare bed.
The room was ultimately lacking in the simple expectation of proper running water and adequate warmth during winter.
I regularly travel to Sydney and have stayed at this hotel previously and it has been adequate. However after my experience during the last stay, I won't be returning.

Very pleased with the customer service from SPG staff from check-in through to check-out.
I had a business booking followed by a personal booking and without having to request it, the staff checking me in organised for me to stay in the same room for the duration of the stay.
At check-out time, I was impressed to see staff were already primed and organised to take the luggage requiring storage for the day again without having to request it. When we came back to collect at the end of the day they took it straight to a cab they hailed for us.
Very pleased with my stay at SPG. Thanks.

Often stay at Four Points Sydney but have to say, that the last two occasions have not been the best. Appreciate that there is nothing that can be done about the road works but we found that the service at breakfast was average, had to beg to get a coffee for our table

When I arrived wow!!! great spot, had a Harbour View with a King Bed. Noise started the next morning at 6am. Got up early could not stand the noise. That night at 1.20am drilling started thought it was in the next room. Could not get to sleep. Rang reception to move me, the receptionist heard the noise over the phone. I then got moved to the 5th Floor to a single bed and not a Harbour View which I paid for. I said to the boy" I am not staying here, I have paid for a Harbour View, this is not good enough. He then said "We have no more rooms left" I then said "Well you book me into another hotel then I am not staying in this room" He left the room to go speak to a manager. He came back 15 minutes later and moved me to a Harbour View Room. I did not appreciate the lie he told me, very bad customer service. So at 2.10am I finally had a bed. A very bad experience. I go to Sydney a lot for conferences and Expos. This place left me with a bad experience.

I hadn't stayed at Four Points for a number of years so I was excited to stay there again. Whilst I understand that the rooms had been upgraded, there is still something requiring attention - your mattresses.
There was actually a 'dip' on the right hand side of the bed so I was forced to alternate between the centre of the bed and left hand side. The mattress was also quite soft, so overall - not very comfortable at all unfortunately (and resulted in lower back pain).
I also believe the $7 surcharge for room service to be quite steep when other hotels charge between $3 and $5.

The bed is super comfy but it would have been nice to have an extra blanket. There might have been an option to call reception and have one delivered but I didn't check that out. The shampoo and conditioner were really aweful, just like slightly scented liquid soap. Other than that - it was great. Although I didn't have it this time around, the breakfast buffet is lovely and there is something to cater for every different dietary preference.
