Rated 4 out of 5 by Woody666 Great Check in
After arriving from the long flight from melbourne, the staff asked us if we would wait in the foyer and she was able to get the room ready in 1.5 hrs, so we could freshen up & have a rest for a couple of hours.
So we were in the room by 0945.

We stayed overnight in May 2012 and although we arrived late we received wonderful service and the room was excellent. I would recommend this hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Goldie2 Convenient Location
I stay here fairly often when Hollywood Park is running. The location is close by, the staff is very efficient, and the rooms are well kept and comfortable. If there is any drawback, it is the parking fees. I realize most LAX area hotels charge exhorbitant amounts for parking, but it doesn't make it any more palatable to pay $19 per night and have to "hike" back to the lobby.
On the plus side, the complimentary bottled water is super, and the plate of cookies and grapes is a really nice touch. All in all, I will continue to stay at this hotel when in the area.

We have been regulars whenever we visit LA. As rated above, the accomodations and service are good and the value is also good. But parking at $19 a night is getting out of hand and makes us think twice about the economic value of staying here in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 Nice
Nice stay. I had a deluxe room. Not sure why this happens but I have found that everytime I reserve a particular room type (ie king bed) I always get something else (this time 2 queens) Its not unbearable but why give me the option to pick what I want and give me something else? The fridge was dirty it had leftover food and water from the previous guest! My only bad complaint is the parking tax. We already pay 19 why the added tax???

I choose this hotel because it was close to LAX Airport and they offered parking at their facility while away.
The overall hotel is nice and the staff is friendly. The room was not as nice as I expected and was small. It sufficed for our one night stay but I would not choose this hotel if you are planning on staying in L.A. for any length of time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Littledragonman Consistent & Accommodating
Food: full breakfast buffet or order off menu. Restaurant serve staff i.e. Patty, Jesus, Mario, Maria (mgr), James ... all work well together. They help each other to provide excellent service. Lunch at bar-grill and dinner at restaurant are consistent, though menus is somewhat limited.
Rooms: professionally daily cleaned w/ all the towels and linen one wants. Bed is comfortable with functioning restroom facilities. 3-star price for a 3-star room. You get what you pay for!
Facility: clean, out-door, heated lap pool w/ towels available. Exercise room has all the free weights and working LifeStyle treadmills (4) somesuch. This was above my expectation.
Front desk, concierge and service staff are professional, friendly and accommodating when possible. Very reasonable and consistent service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LawyerCat This is a Four Points? Really?
I was very, and pleasantly, surprised at the quality of this hotel. I stayed here because I had an early flight out of LAX, but could recommend it in general. The common areas are bright and well-lit, and the lounge was quite comfortably-furnished. The rooms aren't five-star but you're not at a five-star hotel, what they are is again very comfortably-furnished and equipped. The water pressure was very good and the amenities are better than you'd expect at the price point. Yes the hotel is next to LAX so it's a bit noisy but not as much as you'd think. And it's super-convenient to get back to the airport.
Parking is a bit annoying because you can't really tell where the hotel entrance is so it's possible to put your car quite far away from a door, but if that's my biggest complaint then there's really nothing to complain about.

Rated 4 out of 5 by crazy4travel Perfect starting off point at LAX
If the primary visit for your stay is a flight to/from LAX Airport this hotel is an excellent choice to start/end your trip. The General Manager of the hotel is engaged and makes sure details often overlooked in typical airport hotels are not here. If you are an SPG Gold or Platinum you will see great recognition of your loyalty.
The Bar is known for its huge (international) beer selection and lively atmosphere. There is now a coffee bar attached and it opens early.
The restaurant is average, with your typical breakfast options including a buffet.
While it's an older hotel, they seem to be doing a great job of renovations to keep everything up to date, including flat screen tvs, but be sure to ask for a renovated room.
Shuttles are run by the airport and the Four Points shares 2 stops with other hotels, allow just a few extra mins for that but otherwise they run often and are free.

So glad I gave this hotel a second chance.
I originally planned to stay in October, but a power blackout prevented me from ever checking in. Because I made the reservation using airline points, I couldn't cancel. One of the managers went out of his way to write a letter to the airline, explaining the situation and requesting that they reimburse my points. The entire staff was very gracious during that stressful blackout period when I couldn't leave the property.
I decided to give the property another chance this December and, again, was impressed by the graciousness and concern of the staff. Two members of the bell staff assisted me in getting to Avis to pick up my rental car and exhibited great attitude.
Although this is not a four-star property, I would say the service rivals any fine hotel.
Rooms are basic but comfortable and the pool and workout facilities are nicer than expected.
I would stay here again and recommend the Four Points LAX as a place where people care.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Olivia123 Ideal 1 night between flights stopover
Great for a quick jetlagged dip into the pool, visit to Manhattan Beach using the Ocean Trolley which leaves from a stop 5 mins from the hotel, and eating a snack on the ocean front bought from the growers' market, and back to a good shower and comfy bed. Room quiet, view of car park not inspiring but not of concern to me given my purpose of catching up on some sleep between flights. Concierge v. helpful with getting assistance with bags onto airport shuttle 5.30am next morning, and even returning door keys to front desk so I wouldn't miss it. Despite the huge number of rooms, all staff I came into contact with seemed to be working at being personal and approachable.
Would recommend this for a well priced airport stopover.

I stayed in a 4 Points in Asia and was very impressed so I came to this hotel with high expectations.
The staff was very friendly and rooms clean, but the LAX hotel needs a complete face lift. They basically took an old tired hotel and put a 4 Points sign on it. The facilities are worn, old, tired, and completely dated.
That said, they did do a good job on the beds so if you are just looking for a functional hotel at a good rate close to the airport then this passes.

We received no acknowledgment of our SPG Gold status at check in. Room 227 was neat and clean but the mattress sags in the middle and needs to be replaced. Shuttle to/from LAX worked well for us...runs every 15-20 minutes. We were also quite happy with food, drinks and service in the bar. Large selection of beers. Drinks and food in the bar were moderately priced and service was good. Staying overnight again in two weeks...anxious to see if the SPG experience is better the 2nd time around.

Hotel is getting a bit dated, but was clean. Bed was very good (and that's what you are there for)
It was very windy outside and you could hear the wind thru the windows (they are older) but not enough to detract overall.
Room service was ordered, but we had to call 45 minutes later and found out they did not have order. Manager delivered it for free in 15 minutes which was a nice touch. Would stay at this hotel if overnighting at LAX in future.

Close to the LAX airport, free and good shuttle. Room was large enough for a short stay, and clean + modern furnishing. You still see that the building itself is old, windows not isolted (cold/loud). Breakfast buffet is not great.

Good value for an airport hotel. Clean, comfortable bed, but OLD bathroom with low ceiling. Shabby hallways, poor paint work and 1050's elevators detract from what could be a nice place.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years, mostly with success. (Except for the abysmal parking conditions). This last time, and it will be the last time, the counter person at check in was really not friendly, and that's a first. I think he may moonlight as a bouncer at a dive bar nearby. I was not recognized as an SPG member, was not afforded a room with a fridge without paying $10 for it, was told those rooms were only for Gold and Platinum members, and therefore was assigned to what I will call a "forgotten" room. Someone forgot to clean it properly, someone forgot to put the "free" bottled water in it. Maybe that is now only for Gold and Platinum members as well. The window was so loose it rattled whenever a plane flew by - rather often at LAX. I stuffed tissue paper in it to silence the vibrations. The good news is I was able to snag a nice parking spot even thought the placard said LOT FULL. Phil, you need to deal with your bouncer.

Reservation for two nights.Arrival time scheduled for 5am, Flight delayed so I arrived at 7:30. Was told I don't have a reservation because I came late. After sorting that out, went to room and wanted to take shower but there was no soup, body wash, or shampoo in the bathroom. Later that day as I was going out I informed the front desk that there was no soap or shampoo and they said they will bring it up. After coming back there the bodywash and shampoo was there but the room was exactly how I left it, room service never came to change sheets. I informed the front desk and they apologized and said they will send someone to do that. I shouldn't have to be reminding hotel staff to do their job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Goldie2 Parking Still a Problem
I stay at this hotel quite often when I am in the area because of the reasonable rates and the comfortable rooms. Having said that, there is still a huge problem with parking spaces, or lack thereof. The Four Points plays host to many diverse, and often loud, meetings. Perhaps some of the attendees are taking guest parking spaces without actually staying at the hotel?
I had requested a refrigerator in my room for last weekend, something I have ALWAY
S had in the past, but not this time. However, after the time it took to check in (one person on duty, five people in line), giving up finding a parking space, as there were none, having a small hissy fit until somewhere was found to put my car, I was too tired to pursue the whole "no fridge" thing when I finally got to my room. After Hollywood Park closes this December (sadly), none of this will be an issue for me.

We waited 30 minutes for bus after flying 13 hours plus customs. We were given a room with a king bed, not 2 queens as our confirmation stated. After pointing this out, we were placed in the old section with two beds that were more in line with the reservation. Person delivering key did not apologize and acted put out. We waited 30 minutes plus for the bus for the return to the airport. Driver was missing our terminal (#1) and let us all out in between terminals after we called out. Our previous stay was better but not by much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by FrequentTraveler13 FOUR POINTS LAX STAY
I stayed at the FOUR POINTS at LAX just for the experience after trying out all other SPG hotels at LAX. I was upgraded to a big JUNIOR SUITE.
1. Very close to LAX.
2. Big lobby with a gift shop.
3. Furniture is arranged for comfort in the lobby.
4. There are two computers located in the lobby for use by guests. These computers are located at the opposite ends in each corner in the lobby.
5. Friendly staff and manager. Thank you BALTAZAR for checking me in and JULIAN for offering free drink coupons.
6. JUNIOR SUITE; Thank you for upgrading me to the Junior Suite. The room was very comfortable, large, with living room, bedroom and two TVs. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby before my early morning LAX flight.
7. GIFT SHOP: Located inside the hotel right by the entrance. The gift shop attendant NARDI was very polite and courteous along with the trainee girl who did not have a name tag. Thank you both for making my shopping pleasant.
1. AIRPORT SHUTTLE: It is shared with another SPG hotel in the area and you will have to wait forever at the airport to be picked up. It FIRST stops at the other SPG hotel and drops guests there and then moves on to the FOUR POINTS even though this hotel is located CLOSER to LAX than the other SPG hotel. Pick up from this hotel is also significantly delayed therefore give yourself ample time before your flight.
2. CROWDED LOBBY; The lobby was super crowded and on this day there were many guests checking in as it was Halloween. I can understand that but this is a busy LAX hotel. For those SPG members with Claustrophobia this hotel may not work out, Many guests who stay here are traveling to International destinations.
3. ELEVATORS: Are slow and one was not operational. I was staying on the 5th floor yet it took a while to reach the floor. They do not have secured elevator access here and anybody can ride the elevators.
4. FLOOR CORRIDORS; Are dimly lit and very quiet and desolate.
5. CHECK OUT: I checked out at 330 am and the check out girl was friendly but another employee by the name of NEWELL ( I am not sure if I am spelling his name correctly) was flirting with her for over an hour instead of helping other guests who had questions about the airport shuttle and other things. The welcome concierge desk which was supposed to be manned by him was unmanned.
6. LOCATION: The hotel is located in a desolate back area between parking lots and away from Century boulevard.
OVERALL: Average hotel for LAX stays and there are other better SPG choices around LAX. The other SPG hotels at LAX have a better location right on Century Boulevard with much better views.

Stayed for convenience due to early departure from LAX. Very convenient to return rental car and shuttle to airport. Room is dated and feels more like an hourly rental than overnight place. Place needs serious makeover. There are two other SPG properties nearby that are cleaner and less dark and dingy.billing department needs to be more responsive. I am used to having my folio automatically emailed to me, but After two calls and email I am still waiting for final bill.

I checked in right after mydaughter with the same last name. There was some confusion with my check in because of that and I was not recognized as a SPG and not offered the drink/points offer. When we walked into the room we were assigned at about 5;00 p.m. it had not been made up so off to the front desk we went again. Upon entering the rest room of our new room, I notice the toilet paper and the hardware it hangs on sitting on the bathroom counter.
Other than that, the stay was fine.

We did not know this hotel charges $19.00 a day to park your car, even though you are paying to stay there. When we checked in and found this out, the hotel clerk said we could return our rental car and walk back to the hotel! This is 8'oclock at night in a bad neighborhood. No way. They also charge you to use their printer. And the free bottled water was 1 bottle of warm water in a room for 4 people. How about maybe 2 bottles?.
