Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Times Square alternate Good hotel as an alternate to being directly located in Times Square (3-4 blocks away). Nice updated bathrooms, friendly & helpful staff and a great perk of free access to sky bar next door on the 38th floor. Bed was superb, however air conditioner is old school and a bit noisy. Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel offers very good value for money The location of the hotel is its weakest point. However, it is very easy to get taxis or walk to other areas. Of the Four Points hotels we have stayed in Manhattan (we have stayed at another two), this one is the best. Rooms and bathroom are clean and bed is very comfortable. It also has the newest (or most recently renovated) facilities. November 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Long summer weekend This hotel is in an ideal location. Walkable to all theaters, but two blocks removed from the throngs of summer tourists in the streets. Staff was very attentive. I enjoyed the complimentary coffee and WSJ in the lobby bar each day, and it was great fun watching World Cup soccer with other hotel guests. July 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by An excellent first stay Just finished a 5 night stay -our first at this property. Well situated to multiple subway and bus lines, it is also walking distance to Times Square. Staff was helpful and polite from top to bottom, always a reflection of a hotels manager. Here, Mr. J. Turano has everyone working in tandem. A special mention to Leon at the front desk. Rated 2 out of 5 by Ambiguous level of staff service I travel a lot, business or pleasure, but never tried SPG hotel and I thought maybe it's time for me to try it for once. Check-in night, I met the one of the nicest staff compared to my other hotel franchise. Wow. Second day, I complained about shower head water pressure. Front-desk was very apologetic but handyman couldn't do much about it. He didn't remove the water pressure cap from the shower head. Second day maid did an excellent job, even left a note writes "Thank you :)" So cute. Fourth day, nice front-desk staff, still no fix for shower head. Legally hotel doesn't have to do anything as it's within the water flow law regulation, but that's as far as SPG service would go in this hotel. Fifth day, before check-out day, I asked front-desk to see if I can check out between 3-4pm as I sprained my ankle hard. Doctor recommended rest, a cane and 5+ weeks to heal and physical therapy after the recovery. Front desk told me that 1PM is the latest I can check out. Sigh. Many dishes from hotel restaurant menu (Gotham Bistro) are good and reasonably priced. I think SPG members get discounts but waitress didn't bother me ask about my membership. I think the value is great but the level of service is subpar. For the mediocre service and value for the price, I may visit here again. But if you're looking for a SPG treatment, MEH. Isaiah at the front desk was extremely helpful recommending dining options and even called and made our reservation. Thank you to everyone for helping to make our first trip a memorable one. Rated 5 out of 5 by Super location and great staff I stayed at this hotel and chose location based on proximity to theater district. PERFECT! We went to a show at night and walked back to the hotel within 5 minutes. The staff was super friendly to me and my kids. Breakfast was an amazing spread of eggs, sausages, yogurt, fruit, etc... Everything one could want in Manhatten. November 6, 2013

The hotel was exceptionally clean and stylish, and our 32nd floor suite was outstanding--loved the water view and Empire State Building view--far exceeded my expectations. The bed and pillows were very comfy after a long day of exploring Manhattan. What a find! April 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Staff was great!!! It was an unexpectedly cold weekend and a young member of the staff stood in the street trying to hail a cab for us in the snow for about 10 minutes! Everyone welcomed us each time we came back to the hotel and asked repeatedly if everything was OK. The beds and linens were great, as always in a Starwood Resort. Thanks!!!! March 17, 2013

Now that I have stayed at Four Points i have found a place I want to stay at again. Great location, super friendly staff, nice facilities and excellent value. You have a new repeat customer. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Choice for West side Room was very clean, shower door was awkward, would imagine a heavyset person having difficulty. Staff were friendly. Good location, trattoria around the corner on 9th was great, bowling alley/lounge on 9th great place. hotel was very quiet. heating unit was annoying on and off at night, as well as blinking fire system. Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel was quiet and close to the action! Had a wonderful time. Staff was efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. Kathia was super. She remembered our needs and took great pains to see that everything we talked about and asked for was carried out quickly and efficiently. Kudos to her for a job above and beyond! July 26, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fine for a Quick Stay As the title says, if you are only in town for a night or two, its a fine spot. Good location if you are going to NYC for theater or Times Square, but my purpose was business and it was a good ways away from where I needed to be. Right next to Port Authority, so not the best crowds over there either. June 18, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by hotel staff is great but cleaning is poor the Hotel staff was great especially the woman from Haiti at the reception desk and DJ, the bellboy. However, the carpet on the 10th floor and in the rooms was filthy. it needed a good vacuum and shampoo. August 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great weekend trip home base! This hotel was a great location for weekend in NYC "home base". Allowed us to shop, eat drink and be merry. Great way to get a bit of exercise with walk to/from stores & restaurants & shopping; or take subway/taxi if wish. Greatly enjoyed the location, staff, and bar service! Would recommend and enjoy a return visit. December 9, 2013

Good location not far from Times Square and half a block from a subway stop. The rooftop bar next door was a place to see and be seen. And to top it off, when you check in, they give you cupcakes!! Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome staff Everyone was very nice, helpful and friendly - the room was nice and they provide free water. Tried for an early check in but there weren't any rooms made up so they held my luggage and then held it the next day - felt comfortable doing this. All in all a good place to stay - close to Penn Station and Times Square. October 24, 2012

Especially if you are an avid theater goer like myself, you are blocks away from it all. Not only is location important to me, but comfort, cleanliness and amenities rank high on my priority list. Rated 5 out of 5 by Crowning Service The rooms were clean and the location was within walking proximity to Times Square but just far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. Rated 4 out of 5 by Central location for modest price Stayed one night and enjoyed my stay for the most part. I requested and received a quieter room facing downtown. Despite being in the middle of NYC, the noise was minimal. The room is your standard 4Pts but consistency in the chain at affordable prices is an important part of the chain. The breakfast at the restaurant was very enjoyable and staff very friendly (in fact most of the staff were cheerful and helpful). The only downfall of the hotel was the bar. They were advertising World Cup and to watch it there (the final match was on and began at 4pm). The bar did not open until 5pm and the setup took another 30 minutes (close to the end of matchplay). The selection at the bar was also pretty poor since 4Pts campaigns Best Brews promotes craft brews. What was on tap was minimal. Further, the bartender said the beer was warm, not cooled. Some beers are good at room temp, but most like their Brooklyn Brewery beer should be served at temps in their 40s. While the overall stay was very good, the hotel should reconsider their bar setup. Hotel Staff is extremely friendly (good job!). The standard two beds room is a small for a family of four, it feels very crowded, yet overall a pleasant stay. July 11, 2014

Joe, the new GM has brought some nice extra touches which is making it better than ever. It makes such a difference when you are away from home and made to feel welcomed like I do at the Fourpoints Times Square. May 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful staff! I was greeted immediately and treated very well by all staff members. I received an automatic upgrade as well. I told the young man at the desk that I did drink a lot of water and every time I requested it, I was brought two bottles within minutes. Overall, the staff was excellent and all of my needs were met. June 30, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not for kids, women Watch out. To get to this hotel, one has to walk fast a few "adult" shops for men and the department of probation. It isn't a place for kids or women staying alone who have to come home after dark. The hotel itself is so-so -- the shabbiest four points I've ever stayed at, but this is nyc. Staff is super nice. Overall good experience. Stayed for 7 nights. One exceptional staff member is Kathia. She really makes you feel welcome and taken care off. May 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by NYC weekend The hotel staff was great and in general the hotel is fine. It is not in Time square and the bathrooms are terribly small with no place to put personal items. The A/C units are a bit noisy thus the 3 star for room comfort. Staff was terrific. August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Staff were all so awesome. The staff went out of their way to help us from early morning coffee, to restaurant reservations, to extra towels. Everyone from the front desk, concierge, restaurant staff, and cleaning staff were so friendly. The location of the hotel is all great. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would stay again. It's right by the Port Authority which offers subways to a variety of different locations. The bellman we very helpful and friendly as well. They offered to book us the hotel car service or hail a cab for us when going to the airport. October 2, 2013
