Rated 4 out of 5 by RachelOnTheGo Comfortable and clean
For a place to rest your head in NYC, this is one of the best I've found, especially in this area. Very clean, great staff, and the restaurant is wonderful. Plus, free FAST internet and a cupcake! Highly recommended.

A very satisfactory stay. Good amenities and service was excellent all delivered by friendly and enthusiastic staff.
Hotel is well located for wlaking to all amin attractions in NY.
Some aspects of hotel facilities a bit tired but will all be subject of upgrading in early 2013.
Rated 4 out of 5 by TexasGal1955 Good value
overall a very good value - small but comfortable rooms but a bit chilly for this Texas gal--windows needed caulked around edges.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Will1 Amazing Staff
I have stayed at this hotel twice this month. In both cases, everyone I came in contact with was amazing. From check-in, room service, drinks, and check-out, they were all great. Hotel is also in a great location for the Chelsea and Fashion District areas.

Not in a tourist spot, in the heart of lower Manhattan
Rated 4 out of 5 by ws411 Tired, but Great Location
This hotel is a Starwood-wannabee. While the hotel was perfectly fine for our stay (because we weren't in the hotel that much), it didn't really fel like a Starwood property. The front desk staff did very little to make us feel welcomed.
The rooms need a makeover. A fresh coat of paint would be a good start. The curtains do not block out the morning sun at all. The Fitness Center (if you can call it that) was dirty and tired.
If you need to be in Chelsea, this is a great choice for its location. Just don't expect much more in return.

Nicely positioned in Chelsea. Close to the Flatiron area and plenty of restaurants and pubs. Wholefoods just across the street is a bonus!
Rated 4 out of 5 by Laurie Great location
This hotel's location is perfect if you are spending most of your time downtown (Chelsea, MPD, Village). Great restaurants and bars just blocks away, and walkable to Chelsea Market and all of the MPD. We were on the 21st floor which really kept the noise level down nicely. The beds are VERY comfortable although small (not really doubles?). The only negative was the cleanliness of our restroom. It smelled strongly like mildew and was almost impossible to be in because of this. Also there are no black-out shades. Overall, would stay again!
Rated 4 out of 5 by daviator A decent choice, but showing its age
I have stayed in this hotel several times over the past seven or eight years. I think it's an older hotel that was renovated before becoming a Four Points ten years or so ago.
The hotel is well-located (although purists will gripe that Chelsea ends at 23rd St. and that the Four Points isn't REALLY in Chelsea.) Regardless, it's convenient to lots of things. The rooms are showing their age... bathrooms have little space for toiletries; electrical sockets are old and worn out, plugs and adapters tend to fall out of them. But the rooms are clean and, overall, comfortable.
Our stay unfortunately coincided with the arrival of Hurricane Sandy, so after our first day we received no maid service (understandable) and after the second night the power in lower Manhattan went out and was out for the rest of the stay. Although we had no power at all in the room, I was impressed by how well-prepared the hotel was for the emergency. They immediately passed out flashlights, and within twenty minutes or so they'd fired up a generator which powered hallway and lobby lights as well as the elevator. It wasn't fun to be in a hotel with no power for several days, but the staff went out of their way to be helpful and were cheerful and friendly even when some of them had been working 24 hours non-stop.
I would stay here again... the rooms are starting to age, but the great staff and location help make up for it.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Traveler311 Great Location and friendly staff
The staff was great in all communications from check in to check out. Rooms are nice and clean. Shower great. could use some room by the sink for my toiletries but that too was manageable. Enjoyed our stay.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Kelly87 Phenomenal Service, Alright Everything Else
The service and location were great. I had requested a fridge and extra towels and they arrived very quickly. Room service was delivered promptly and the food (Four Points breakfast) was delicious! However, the room was tiny and the bathroom was awkward to maneuver because it was awkwardly laid out and small. The room did not seem perfectly clean but it was okay by me. Hotel does not participate in Make the Green Choice for extra Starpoints. When the fridge arrived, it worked, but it looked like it was 20 years old and someone had kicked it down the stairs. Fitness center was alright. Small but no one else was using it so it was fine.

The service for breakfast on Sunday was very bad...too few servers! Other than that one meal, the staff was great!
Rated 4 out of 5 by BusinessTraveler092012 Wifi
Overall a good stay. Rooms are a little small for 2 people but clean. I appreciate the free Wifi but it was very slow and unreliable for a business person like myself, which makes me reluctant to re-book at this location. An upgrade to this service would be appreciated.
Rated 4 out of 5 by freda rooms were nice
rooms were nice, there were two of us but only ever received 1 bottle of water daily
Rated 4 out of 5 by Andre64 Good location but small rooms
The hotel is in a convenient location but the room is small and hardly have sufficient space for two piece of luggages.
Rated 4 out of 5 by narayana This hotel has a very nice staff
The staff at the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. We liked the security system of the hotel.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tiger62 Good location and great staff
Stayed for three nights. Convenient location and friendly staff. The on-site restaurant is very good: food and service and the beer! The AC wad smelly when first turn-on may need some service. The hair dryer was also smelly when in use, need a new one perhaps. Overall, pretty happy with the hotel.
Rated 4 out of 5 by WMCOLMES14 nice location change
we usually stay in the times square area, but we decided to change to Chelsea. great location, right near all the Chelsea items, and a Whole Foods is near by. $5 can ride from Penn Station. Staff was very nice. Sadly our room was not ready when we arrived at 1, but it was at 2 as is standard. Rooms are small, but they are just a base for us to nap before going out. Sheraton Manhattan's rooms are bigger. Only complaints are the bathrooms are very dated, as if 4 points was some other brand. They re-ddi the rooms, but the bathroom as very basic. Also, the gym is tiny. Overall, would surely stay here again
Rated 4 out of 5 by HankE Super friendly and attentive staff, good room
Stayed for 2 nights in mid July 2012. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. But what really stood out was the attentive and friendly staff. From check in to check out, the staff was smiling, courteous and helpful. Good job!
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sperry8 Excellent Hotel for NYC
Usually hotels in NYC are overpriced for what you get. This hotel offers a nice room (small, except when you consider it's NYC) at a great price.
Service is top notch and friendly. Location is perfect. Right next door to a Whole Foods and trains are all nearby. Easy to go uptown/downtown, or into the boroughs.
Internet is fast and free (for all, not just Platinum).
1- When I arrived one of the elevators was broken. 5 minute waits to get up/down to the room. They fixed it that eve, but it was annoying during the day.
2- One of the lights was out in my bathroom (although to their credit they fixed it within 5 minutes of my arrival) and the batteries were dead in my tv remote.
3- The worst thing about this hotel is that the Platinum recognition is non-existent. There is no offer for breakfast at the restaurant - just the amenity. Points amenity is a lowly 250. No drinks at the bar. And the room upgrade to a deluxe was a joke. If they have smaller rooms than the one they put me in, you'd be miserable if you stayed in them for just one night.
Still - I'd stay here again in NYC, It's priced right, and the... ahem, "deluxe" rooms are acceptable. If you're not a Platinum guest, definitely stay here - you won't even know what you're missing!

Location, Service, Comfort & Clean. Whether its business or pleasure in NYC - this place always delivers. Thank you 4PTS.
Rated 4 out of 5 by TDC12 Great location, nice property
Enjoyed my stay! It's so close to Penn Station and so many other things. It's a small property, but the rooms are nice. My bathroom was remarkably ill-equipped to handle toiletries.
I love, too, that the Whole Foods is across the street.
Rated 4 out of 5 by SJA54 small rooms, great staff
The Four Points Chelsea is nice with a very friendly and helpful staff. The room is pretty bare bones as is the restaurant. The rooms are quite small and not really well laid out. For instance -- nor room for two people to lay out toiletries in the bathroom, a night-stand on one side of the bed only etc. We were on an award stay (platinum) and did not get any upgrade. Our room had a pretty uninspiring view of NYC. Additionally, the rooms have in-wall HVAC -- always a risk for noise. Ours was not terribly noisy, but since it was in AC mode there was a rather large noise every time the compressor kicked on.
Rated 4 out of 5 by EssorPartners Nice hotel for the price in Manhattan
Whenever other SPG hotels are too expensive in Manhattan, I try to stay in this property. The rooms are slightly dated but this is a Four Points. The staff is always very nice and will do their best to help.
I come to NYC perhaps 10-12 times a year, and I end up staying here perhaps 4-5 of those times. Location is 2 blocks away from major subways and there is never a lack of Taxis on 7th Ave.
Rated 4 out of 5 by PJam Good location and helpful staff
Before arriving, we received a welcoming email and offer of concierge services. We arrived earlier than the designated check in time, and they were able to accommodate us with two rooms for early check in. The lobby is small, but offers basic amenities and there is complimentary coffee and tea in the morning. We asked the concierge for information about the High Line park, which is nearby, and she was very courteous in assisting us with a map and some details. The hotel is within a couple of blocks of several subway lines. It is conveniently located between 6th and 7th avenues with many stores, shops, and services nearby (CVS, Whole Foods, Starbucks, and many smaller, local establishments). The bathroom was very clean and towels, soap, etc. were replaced daily. The room was generally clean, but could use a little more vacuuming in the corners...not too much of a problem. This hotel could use a little updating or a facelift, but i would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others.

I especially liked the quality of the bed. Very comfortable and a special treat. Otherwise a solid business-stay hotel in a convenient part of town. Friendly staff.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Kathyn21 Diamond in the rough
We booked this room in advance and when I showed up in New York City at 1:00am all I could think is what did we get ourselves into. The area looked a little rough at night however looks are deceiving – This city is beautiful. We walked into the hotel and were greeted with a friendly smile. Check-in/out and parking were quick. We got up to our room - 2 teenagers in tow and were pleasantly surprised. The room was as small as we expected but it was clean and very comfortable. We were always engaged by friendly staff no matter where we saw them. The restaurant was under construction but there were many great places to eat in the area. The Hotel was walking distance to almost everything this beautiful city had to offer. We did have a couple of issues - one of the elevators was broken and it took 3 days to fix and there was a bar with a patio located outside our windows which was noisy at night until about 2:00am. I mentioned them to the staff and they were very understanding and tried to change our room however the Hotel was booked solid for the weekend we were there. If I went back to New York - I would stay here again.
Rated 4 out of 5 by TheEmu Welcome cupcake from Billy's
This hotel is really in a great location, and the welcome cupcake from Billy's saved me a trip there, where I would have over-indulged!
I spent one night here, as I wanted to be near Penn Station for an early train. Ended up realizing it is one of my new favorite spots to stay in the city.
The restaurant wasn't open, but the menu looks like it'll be great.
All the staff were exceedingly helpful and curteous.
