I travel 50 weeks prer year and consequently spend the majority of my nights in hotel. Most Starwood properties are very nice but the Sheraton Four Points Detroit Metro Airport is one of the worst experiences of my life. No hotel manager on site and is reflected in employee behavior. Heavy construction to repair water damage on most floors. Took 40 minutes for a waitress to approach me in the cafe (four were standing around talking to each other). Room stank. Service was horrible. Take your own chances but there is a very nice Sheraton (not a Four Points) merely one-third mile down the road, surprisingly with lower fares. I wouldn't put my mother-in-law in one of these rooms

I stay here on business most of the time when in Detroit for a day or two. Close to airport with shuttle and best place to stay this close to airport

When we arrived we were welcomed by being called by our names. It's the little details that mean the most. How did they know us? We were the last reservation to arrive that night. The weather was stormy, the roads icy and what a lovely welcome after a long day.

we arrived at mid-night after a trans-continent flight. The check-in staff discovered the room rate was higher than normal so she made her effort to find out a correct one for me. Fair and very responsible!

When I checked in the two women at the desk werre very helpful. They printed out map quest directions for two of the attractions I wanted to see.
Called the room once I was settled and asked if there was anything they could do for me.
Staff at restaurant was friendly.
Restaurant food was good and I enjoyed eating two dinners and two breakfasts during my stay.

My Room was already occupied by a woman and when I walked in the room she was very upset......... Front desk took care of it but I don't think the lady felt safe.
This cannot happen in a hotel.
