When we arrived we were welcomed by being called by our names. It's the little details that mean the most. How did they know us? We were the last reservation to arrive that night. The weather was stormy, the roads icy and what a lovely welcome after a long day.

This is a standard 4P. The location is good and the restaurant / bar open late (to accomodate flights). The rooms are standard 4P rooms. No complaints! -:)

I stayed at this hotel for a Sat-Sun small meeting, and I then I extended my stay for an extra night before flying out on Monday. We chose the property over other airport hotels because of the price, and we were pleased with our choice. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, and the meeting room was fine. There were not any platinum upgrades because the hotel does not have suites, but the room was fine and the breakfast was good too.
This is a very functional hotel, and I will return if I have a need for a stay while traveling through the DTW airport. Many of the guests are airline employees, and the staff made sure that everyone was happy. The restaurant is basic, and there were only two outside restaurant options within a mile. The food was fine, and there was a good Italian restaurant close by where the shuttle van driver was willing to provide transfer for our group. There were not a lot of other options, so this was truly a business hotel and not ideal for weekend romantic getaways. However, I would think that the park and fly rate would be ideal.
In summary: this is a good business or travel hotel without the frills of some higher priced options. I will definitely return.

Despite the apparent extensive effort to update this hotel - more than a few features dramatically show the buildings age. For example, I had difficultly getting the plug for the hair dryer to stay in the outlet because the receptacle was so worn. The elevator was a "Scary Ride" due to the groaning and creaking nature of it. The staff was great - but this facility was far short of other Four Points Hotels I have stayed in.

My room 610 was very dirty. It had dried blood stains on the window curtains plus a massive amount of dust. There was pieces of food on the floor, not a lot but a couple chucks here and there. The toilet lid was too large and looked like it tip over. The mouthwash bottle was half full. Then the ice machine on the 7th floor did not work so I had to go the only working machine in the hotel on the 3rd floor. The general facilities were not up-to-date at all. I cannot believe this is Starwoods resort.

Anthony in the restaurant was wonderfully helpful and pleasant. Disappointed in the exercise room space and missing free weights. Room very comfortable and clean.
