Rated 5 out of 5 by The embodiment of the Four Points spirit This was my first stay at a Four Points hotel, Starwood's entry-level brand, so I was slightly unsure what to expect from it. Luckily, I needn't have worried, as the "by Sheraton" in the brand name is well deserved. The hotel cuts down on bling, but retains impeccable service standards and room comfort, which are the most relevant features anyway. Participation in the "Make a Green Choice" programme is also commendable. The location is nice, although not perfect, as you'll be largely dependent on a single tram line to reach the city centre. However, you can reach most places in Brussels within half an hour. The hotel has a typical 4* setting, with a classic hotel feel to it. We were even upgraded to a Superior Room (from the booked Classic Room) due to a long stay (six nights in a row), even though I was only a basic SPG member at the time, which was a very nice touch. The room was more spacious than expected, and the same goes for the bathroom. The double bed is the absolute highlight of the Four Points experience, being remarkably comfortable for a sub-100€ hotel. All in all, a very pleasant experience we'd gladly repeat. Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel was a disappointment I stayed in the hotel for one night and I must say that the stay was a unsatisfactory. When I first stepped into my Classic room, I was shocked of the worn down appearence of the room. The carpets and interiors were worn out, one of the lights did not work, and the tv was the older box model. Overall when looking at the room quality, this is certainly the worst four points hotel I've been to. When compared to the pictures on the web site of the "Classic" rooms, the difference was huge. The worst part however was, that there was a squeaking noise in the room whenever the elevator was used, which made sleeping impossible until late. I noticed this too late in the evening to bother to complain about it.. What was good about the hotel, was the bed, which is always good in four points hotels. Also the staff were rather helpful. Based on my stay, I would recoomend the other Starwwod hotels in Brussels November 13, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very comfortable, great service I come to Brussels twice a month - the Four Points is my preferred hotel. Ms Bardoloi in particular has been extremely helpful in arranging bookings in advance for me, but in general the staff are very friendly and efficient - very hard to fault. As with most Sheratons, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the rooms are light and airy, especially on the garden side. The hotel is situated in a very quiet spot. The restaurant offers a select and varied menu of quality fare. It takes 15 minutes to walk to my office, and although the location is not central, it takes only 20-25 minutes to walk to the Grand Place, or about 10 minutes by taxi. Public transport connections are also close by. June 22, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs a serious renovation This hotel needs a serious renovation which might be hard to achieve given the constraints of the building. My first encounter with the Sheraton Four Points was an extremely cramped underground parking which is so tight to enter, it took me five minutes to get in without seriously damaging a medium sized SUV. The lobby area is very outdated and again... claustrophobic. I was upgraded to a premium room and started to wonder what a normal room would look like. The leather chairs seemed to come straight from the 80s. If you are a tall person you will not fit under the shower. I understand refillable shower gel helps to protect the environment, but my personal hygiene does require them to be refilled. The only thing that did seem fresh and up-to-date are the corridors. Yet this is a short pleasure. On the positive side many compliments for the staff which is very friendly and fluent in multiple languages. It kind of balances the cheap overall feel... yet not enough for a return stay. December 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tremedous value We found this hotel to be excellent all around and terrific value for money. We only stayed the weekend and the hotel is more for weekday business use, but as a result weekends are even better value. The receptionist was very polite and efficient. The room was large and comfortable only downside was that no milk or cream was provided even though tea making facilities were in place. January 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Run Down, Nickle and Dime As a a traveler who stays over 120 in hotels a year this was the worst one. Unfortunatley it was on vacation too. The only 2 things good was the check in and them booking a cab when I left. Charged for breakfast for my guest when I have never been charged if I book 2nd room even during the same trip I was accomidated at all other properties and 20euros each to boot for a sad offering. Rooms are from the early 80s. Felt I was in a bad motel in Reno. My guests requested toilet paper and it never came. I had to bring some from my room. Asked for ice and was told to go to bar where instead of them offering to bring to my room they proceeded to hand me a bowl not an ice bucket of ice. Last but not least had to remind them at check out to remove internet charge as I am a Platinum guest. I was to tired to argue about the breakfast charge at check out. I hope I get my 1000 points for my green choice. Probably not since we ask for toilet paper. SPG needs to rethink a 3 star and make it a 1. May 10, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sweat it out This room I am in is great if you don't mind sweating when you sleep and getting a whiff of smoke every now and then. Told the staff and offered to have someone come and smell the room and move me if it did, like I made it up. Requested a fan, and thank god, I got the last one. If your from anywhere in the world where they have AC, I would pick another place. It is downtown though. July 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent staff I have stayed at this hotel several times over recent years. The room, the bathroom and the breakfast are all up to the standards one would expect from a hotel of this type. However, it is the staff that makes the difference here. Maybe it is because they are experienced (several have worked at this hotel for many years), but they are invariably friendly, polite and above all, extremely efficient and competent. This is true of those working in reception, the restaurant and housekeeping. Any occasional problems I have encountered during my many stays (early arrival, my booking errors, faulty TV, plumbing, lost wallet, lost memory stick) have been resolved quickly and without fuss. The service is not 'over the top' or obsequious- it is simply very good. March 28, 2012
