Close to downtown, bike renting, nice geographical situation.
Just a bad exeprience, I asked for a taxi to go to the airport, it was a limo, I asked for the price, the driver tell me 70 usd, I said yes, even if a taxi would cost 55 usd. At the airport, when I give my credit card to pay, he says it's 5 usd charge for using a credit card because you have no cash !!! No way, bad exeprience, I didn't payed teh 5 usd charge.... When I ask for a taxi I don't need a limo.

Rated 2 out of 5 by figgy55 Not up to SPG standards
This hotel, while serving our basic needs was not up to the usual expectations of Sheraton and the SPG program. Every time I stay at a four points or any SPG hotel I receive complimentary breakfast, Here, they rudely reminded me that I was not a platinum level member, and therefore not eligible for complimentary breakfast. That made us feel ike our membership wasn't valuable. The rooms were small, (because it is the city). There was virtually no cable, just Showtime. The wifi was supposed to be top notch, but worked only sporadically. On check-out day, we had late check out, but housekeeping continued to knock on our door every 20 minutes anyway. Which became invasive and annoying. Housekeeping also failed to eave new toilet paper each time they cleaned the room. They did have a clean but small and modern fitness facility.

I am in my second day in this hotel. Room is tiny with very noisy exhaust fan and aircon. Fortunately, the weather is not too hot and we can afford not to turn it on in the evening. I was offered a coupon for one welcome drink and I thought it was for two people as I was traveling with my wife. I was told it was for one person only. I am truly surprised! The dining facility and bar is not attractive anyway. I decided not to use it to save them one drink!

Rated 5 out of 5 Clean rooms
I travel alot and although this is not a Four Seasons, this Four Points hotel is simply one of the best I've ever been! Reason I say that is because of the STAFF!!! From valet to bellmen, front desk staff to housekeeping staff, they are just so attentive to your needs and this feels like a "Home away from Home". A few staff even remembered my name (mind you, I was only there for a couple of days and I wasn't even a VIP, or whatever they call it).
The hotel itself is very clean. I really liked my room, there is a fridge and a microwave inside! I don't even think other Four Points have them!
The lobby is very updated , very nice decor, it's a little different from the Four Points that I'm used to (in a good way). This one is fancier!
All in all a very good stay. I would most definitely come back again if I were to come to DC!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Platinum2013 Not as expected for a SPG 4 star hotel
My stay at this hotel was not as expected with SPG Platinum status. Staff was very cordial, but I do not believe reception/management paid much of attention to my Platinum status vis-a-vis room upgrades, etc. They initially offered me a very small and a dark room, later when they changed the room, I did not see much of a difference – I gave up! The continental breakfast was of very low quality with basically not much of option for an average breakfast.

Late check in due to airline problems was no problem. Late check out due to overbooked business was no problem after a call to the front desk the night before to confirm it with the mgr on duty. Breakfast buffet quite adequate for a quick bite before starting the day, and opened early, which was very appreciated.
Overall a very pleasant experience with no hassle to disrupt the work to be done during the visit. Will return here in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BJT123 Not first rate, but not unredeemable
Room was dusty, lampshade had rips in it, floor had not been vacuumed recently. One of two elevators was out for three days. Also, the room phone didn't work. Restaurant had mediocre breakfast buffet.
On the plus side, personnel was helpful and courteous and free water bottles in the room were a nice touch. Liked overall design of the hotel public areas. Great downtown location.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BrewBBY Yes - A hotel worth a return visit
An excellent display of professionalism and courteous greeting to guests by the staff (even with the crush and of arrivals at check-in). Bar service featured great tasting appetizers. On the negative side: Parking fees@ hotel are HIGH (>$40 per day). It's not explained up front before entry that you must also pay additional taxes to park. My advice: compare daily flat fees at other local garages before committing to park at the hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SonDeeInc Great Hotel Staff, Great Location
Hotel is conveniently located in the hot spots of DC, close to downtown, close to the metro (monorail), the staff was excellent, Mohammad rocks! Dan the info man, was full of info! Fitness room was great, clean and offers free earbuds. Nice pool on the roof too. Just didn't enjoy the rooms temperature. On level 6, our room was always too warm in there and we could not get it to go any lower. Luckily we weren't in there too much but to sleep.

Rated 2 out of 5 by stcahenry very loud
We started out on 2nd floor but was so noisy from laundry facilities and workers. So we were moved to the 9th floor which was even more noisy from the heating and air conditioning units on the roof. If you want a good nights sleep stay far away. Parking is also $ 40 a day so 2 nights only cost $80.

My husband and I stayed here for a night away from our children. The room was a little small, but was comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel had great food, and my husband was able to catch some of his baseball game in the bar. Would recommend to friends. We did however pick this hotel, because it stated it was within walking distance to the monuments and museums.. glad we did not attempt to walk, because it would of been a looong walk.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Russ23 Bad Experience
My first bad experience at a Starwood property. Check-in was fine, and even the room itself was fine (just fine, tho. Definitely could use a lot of freshening up).
The issue was when I was awoken the next morning by the pipes rattling in the wall from what I assume was hot water being pumped into other rooms. Seemingly every time someone turned a shower on, a banging noise would eminate from behind the bed. Then I took my own shower, and it was cool-warm at best - not cold, but certainly not hot on a chilly DC November morning.
I mentioned it to the desk attendant, who made no apologies, but radioed the facilities staff to fix it.
The next morning, again, no hot water and the incessant banging noise.
Checked out, said something, and got a mild apology before she went ahead and charged the entire owed amount to my credit card.

There was soap left in the shower from the previous guest. I advised the front desk and they immediately apologized, sent up extra soap and offered us complimentary breakfast for both mornings of our stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SueandPaul Excellent Service and Amazing Location!!!
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this hotel while visiting DC and I can't imagine looking for any better of a hotel. This is not your typical Four Points, the quality and decor is much more chic and urban than your average suburban Four Points. The location and ease of access to all of the major downtown points of interet could not be more convenient. There is always someone outside to hail a cab, or the metro is only a couple blocks away that connects you to almost all the major metro lines. The rooms are great size for being a prime downtown location where I'm sure real esetate is limited. From the moment I walked into the hotel, we felt very appreciated and respected throughout the entire hotel, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who does business in DC or is leisurely visiting for the weekend, it was a wonderful stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by tennisplayerinlr This hotel has a nice location at a reasonable price
We stayed in this hotel for two nights the week prior to Memorial Day. The check-in process went smoothly. The room did not really have a good view, but we were there to visit the town not sit in the room. We did not try the restaurant, although we did have a drink there and the service was fine. No real problems. Met our expectations. The pool was a little too small to swim, but I am sure would have been fine if there with kids.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jomope Loved my bed!
The bed was super comfortable and there were ample outlets for all of my tech gear. The closet, however, lacked space due to a big safe installed on the floor and it was a little tight when I was closing the bathroom door. I appreciated the free bottle of water and thought that the in-room coffee was better than most. My steak sandwich (room service) was great. Will definitely stay at this hotel again and try the restaurant too.

this hotel was not clean, the room was down several stairs at the end of a corridor; it was so noisy that I was awakened all night with slamming doors that literally shook the bed and people laughing or talking loudly; the restaurant staff could have cared less about the guests and Starwood mean't NOTHING to anyone on staff; the food was terrible and VERY expensive...I'm shocked that Starwood uses this hotel.

The hotel was nice. The room was smaller than I expected, but comfortable. The location was perfect as I had planned/hoped/expected. The museums and China Town were all walking distance. A taxi ride to Georgetown was only $10. Maddy's Tap Room was right around the corner which I highly recommend if you like good food and beer.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel, and everything was wonderful! The front desk staff were efficient and courteous, the concierge always helped us with a taxi, and housekeeping did a great job. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were there to celebrate my birthday, and the staff made it all very special. Would definitely recommend the hotel, and will stay there on my next trip to DC.

Good value for a location within walking distance to sightseeing. I was upgraded at check-in which was nice. The room was adequate although the bathroom was very small and there was an initial problem with AC which was fixed quickly. Otherwise the property was as expected.
Excellent initial reception at check-in which was consistent with the highly rated service other reviews mentioned. After check-in the front desk service wasn't the same. Later I was surprised that the staff couldn't recommend alternative dining choices beyond their own restaurant. Also disappointed they weren't able to extend my checkout time an hour even with SPG Gold status. At checkout the same clerk left me feeling that I was interrupting her real work as she took my keys with only a cursory acknowledgement.
Fortunately the door service was excellent. As he helped me get a cab, he was friendly and thanked me for my visit.

as a loyal SPG member, i was sad to find this property once i checked into the rooms. i was traveling for personal reasons with other members of my family in multiple rooms and found it disappointing. stains on the bedding, mildew smells in the shower and jaded employees seem to define the property. we did have a nice bellhop though... will be looking to stay elsewhere next time...

Restaurant is small, people at restaurant is not that friendly. We had our complementary breakfast and they made me use one for my daughter that is 2 years old ( she doesn't even eat that much).
Also requested a Crib, had to call like 3 times, and had to went down stairs to talk to them to get the crib.
Any ways it wasnt what i was expecting.
Rooms are small.

Great experience overall. Friendly, helpful staff and clean, comfortable room. Some of the cable channels were not working when I stayed at the DC location. The room was stuffy, the beds were comfortable and the location was good. The customer service was below average: when an issue was escalated no action was taken and there was no urgency to resolve the issue by management.
