I expected better from a Starwood hotel. The staff was nice enough, but the two rooms we rented smelled like wet cat.
My biggest issue with this hotel has been getting the deposit back. My reservations were fully prepaid using this SPG site. Upon checking in, they asked for a credit/debit card in the event we charged incidentals. No incidentals were charged, yet they have keep my deposit. They continue to tell me that it is for the second night for one room even though both rooms were fully prepaid on this SPG site.
First, I will never use this site again to book rooms.
Second, I now question the quality of the hotels in the SPG program.

I stayed here with my wife for one night during a pass thru trip. We used our points which was a bonus and really not that many points.
We were greeted by the staff upon our arrival and they were very pleasant. We even received a complimentary beverage since the bar was closed by the time we arrived.
The room, facilities and everything we nice and as expected for a Four Points.

I have stayed at this property several times and love the location, however this stay started off rocky and did not get better. I arrived sometime after 6pm in the pouring rain, only to be told my room may not be ready due to a 'cleaning' issue, which was not disclosed. I had to insist on being placed in a different room, as I needed to be somewhere by 8pm. I stood at the desk and had to argue with the employee to place me in an alternative room.
Upon returning back to my room after my function, I noticed there was no remote in the room. I called the front desk and was told one would only be brought up if they found one. Needless to say, they never brought one up. I had to ask the maid the next day for one. She took it from the room she was cleaning. On Saturday we left the room at 8am and returned at 3pm, only to find the room not being cleaned.
And I was never acknowledged as a Starwood Preferred Gold member

This property is a wonderful way station for us and has become an even more wonderful one now that our adult kids live 40 minutes down the road from it. STAFF is AWESOME, VERY friendly and WELCOMING! The property is spotless and beautifully situated in relation to BOTH North Bay Area bridges AND a GREAT bagel shop/Macy's mall. STAY! Over and over!!

my families stay at the 4 points was very disturbing. We had no hot water on 2 of the 3 mornings we stayed there. The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate w/ free breakfasts, but that does not make up for cold showers especially for the children. The beds were also a problem. The sheets did not fit the beds and each night everyone ended up sleeping on an uncovered mattress because of the unfitted and too small bed sheets.

I've stayed there several times. Each time, I've had a refridgerator and a small blue chair (that I put my things on) in my room. This visit was disappointing in that the room I got, did not have either. I called the front desk, and they put me in another room two doors away, exact same thing, no fridge or chair (empty space). Called front desk again, finally moved me to another room on the 4th floor, had to walk a ways carting my luggage to another set of elevators to get there, which is farther from where we parked. Disappointed this happened, it delayed us from doing other things that we came to town to do.
