Rated 2 out of 5 by What Happened? I've stayed here a few times and its been fine. However this last time was a different experience. I arrived late and went straight to bed. In the morning I discovered the toilet hadn't been properly cleaned. There was fresh shampoo however there were no bars of soap. I didn't have time to wait so just used shampoo. I turned on the tv as I was getting ready only to see a blank screen. Evidently there was a connection problem. Front desk staff were polite. December 21, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by An Awful Night We were in room 206, across from a large building which contained some sort of generator, which turned on and off all night. It went on every 20 minutes and roared for about 5 minutes each time. Unfortunately, we didn't notice it until we went to bed and turned off our heater, which also made a lot of noise. At that point, it was too late to change rooms. I eventually gave up trying to sleep and read all night. Why anyone would be given that room is a mystery to me. December 19, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Rooms need updating. Room smelled stinky The lights and tv were unplugged when we entered the room. Both lights beside the bed were not working. The room smelled stinky like cat urine. The hot tub was out of order yet not note was place anywhere to let guests know. I even called to inquire about the hours of the hot tub and they never mentioned it wasn't working. December 16, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs a facelift Hotel is nicely situated, staff is friendly but the hotel is in desperate need of a face lift. Beds are comfortable, however, that's about all that can be said. The carpets are stained, the drapery has holes, closet doors jambs and list goes on. The breakfast buffet cost $12 and not worth the price. The gym ... much improvement needed there too. Rated 5 out of 5 by Would stay here again I stayed here with my wife for one night during a pass thru trip. We used our points which was a bonus and really not that many points. We were greeted by the staff upon our arrival and they were very pleasant. We even received a complimentary beverage since the bar was closed by the time we arrived. The room, facilities and everything we nice and as expected for a Four Points. December 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Front Desk needs training I have stayed at this property several times and love the location, however this stay started off rocky and did not get better. I arrived sometime after 6pm in the pouring rain, only to be told my room may not be ready due to a 'cleaning' issue, which was not disclosed. I had to insist on being placed in a different room, as I needed to be somewhere by 8pm. I stood at the desk and had to argue with the employee to place me in an alternative room. Upon returning back to my room after my function, I noticed there was no remote in the room. I called the front desk and was told one would only be brought up if they found one. Needless to say, they never brought one up. I had to ask the maid the next day for one. She took it from the room she was cleaning. On Saturday we left the room at 8am and returned at 3pm, only to find the room not being cleaned. And I was never acknowledged as a Starwood Preferred Gold member December 10, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by More like a motel than a hotel I expected better from a Starwood hotel. The staff was nice enough, but the two rooms we rented smelled like wet cat. My biggest issue with this hotel has been getting the deposit back. My reservations were fully prepaid using this SPG site. Upon checking in, they asked for a credit/debit card in the event we charged incidentals. No incidentals were charged, yet they have keep my deposit. They continue to tell me that it is for the second night for one room even though both rooms were fully prepaid on this SPG site. First, I will never use this site again to book rooms. Second, I now question the quality of the hotels in the SPG program. December 7, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by bad experience my families stay at the 4 points was very disturbing. We had no hot water on 2 of the 3 mornings we stayed there. The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate w/ free breakfasts, but that does not make up for cold showers especially for the children. The beds were also a problem. The sheets did not fit the beds and each night everyone ended up sleeping on an uncovered mattress because of the unfitted and too small bed sheets. December 3, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rooms aren't consistent I've stayed there several times. Each time, I've had a refridgerator and a small blue chair (that I put my things on) in my room. This visit was disappointing in that the room I got, did not have either. I called the front desk, and they put me in another room two doors away, exact same thing, no fridge or chair (empty space). Called front desk again, finally moved me to another room on the 4th floor, had to walk a ways carting my luggage to another set of elevators to get there, which is farther from where we parked. Disappointed this happened, it delayed us from doing other things that we came to town to do. November 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by QUIET & CONVENIENT This property is a wonderful way station for us and has become an even more wonderful one now that our adult kids live 40 minutes down the road from it. STAFF is AWESOME, VERY friendly and WELCOMING! The property is spotless and beautifully situated in relation to BOTH North Bay Area bridges AND a GREAT bagel shop/Macy's mall. STAY! Over and over!! Rated 3 out of 5 by Room/Bed Type not guaranteed, even for loyal SPG member I've stayed at this property several times. Each experience is different. The staff is typically polite and they have made some renovations to spruce things up a bit. The box style AC is rather antiquated and loud, and should be replaced. My recent stay was not a stellar one because the 2 queens I had reserved 2 weeks in advance of my stay were given away to a basketball team playing at a local college. This shouldn't happen to any guest, but especially not to one who has been a loyal member of the SPG club for over 10 years. The GM and front desk clerk who had just come on shift had nothing to do with this slight I received, but they did make it close to right. The GM refunded the points I had used for my night's stay and gave us breakfast vouchers. He also personally got a roll away, brought it to our room and made the bed. His effort was appreciated and it appeared he had inherited this mistake from another GM or front desk agent who gave my room away. I'll stay here again, because it's along my frequently traveled path, but it's not my first choice. And if I really want 2 queens, I guess I'll need to email the GM in advance to make sure my room is not given away. Shouldn't have to do that, though! My previous stay here was also unspectacular. It was summer 2010 and the nice pool area was wrecked by a large group of obnoxious kids and their parents who let loud and inappropriate behavior go unchecked. Some of the parents were too busy drinking margaritas to care I guess. They were part of a local girls softball tournament. We specifically went to this property to enjoy the pool, and that was ruined. This hotel seems to cater to traveling sports teams, and the other guests comfort is compromised as a result. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location We come up to the bay area 3 or 4 times a year. This is our first time staying at the four points and we were very happy. Great location between San Francisco, Tomales bay, and the wine country. The room was very comfortable, and clean. The area around is very safe and close to shopping. Rated 2 out of 5 by Average to below The room needed fresh paint and new carpets; there were no amenities like shower caps, robes, or make-up mirrors. The 'free' internet was slow and often could not be used. The t.v. channels were severely limited. The staff at the hotel were the one saving grace in that they were pleasant and responsive. Rated 5 out of 5 by What a Category 2 Hotel Should Be Everything was right about this hotel. The location in between napa and SF was just perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool looked like fun and I saw families enjoying it. We had a nice breakfast at the restaurant. Nothing fancy about the place, but it was solid. For a category 2 Starwood property, that's the standard to strive for. October 23, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs work. When I booked the hotel, I was told there is a shuttle but I should call closer to my stay dates to schedule it. I did, and was told that there was no shuttle and I should contact cabs surrounding the area to charter my ride. 1. You do have a shuttle. 2. You should offer to call for me. Secondly, the room was unsatisfactory. The hotel is considered non-smoking, yet the hallway wreaked. My room smelled like cat urine and smoke. It was nauseating. Lastly, after a night on the town, we returned in the early morning hours to find we were locked out of our room because our key cards were not scheduled appropriately. This led to confusion, worry, and anger as we trekked back to the lobby to right the situation. If the staff were out of the lobby any longer than they were when we came back after hours, I wonder how long we would have stayed locked outside in the middle of the night before granted access to the hotel. Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't stay here! The entire hotel has an odor to it. It may be the cleaning solution, but it is quite strong. The room chair looked like something from a college dorm room. It has seen better days. The restaurant was horrible. The hostess was nowhere to be found so we waited to be seated while waitresses would say "she must be coming right back." The buffet ran out of plates, bowls and food. The food that was there had flies on it. When I asked our waitress for some jelly, she replied that we should just wait until they refilled the empty jelly container on the buffet rather than put any effort into finding some. Coffee cups were never refilled. It was not a pleasant way to start a day. When we checked out the front desk manager was there. She listened to what we had to say and agreed that there were issues with the restaurant because of a lack of a manager. She offered us additional starwood points which we thanked her for, but which have never appeared in our account. We would never stay at this hotel again and we would be hesitant to stay at any Four Points hotel again although other Starwood brand hotels are wonderful~! October 20, 2013
