Rated 1 out of 5 by Cannot recommend after this visit Aircon does not go higher than 24. City side rooms freezing. aircon flow was cold air. TV pic does not fit screen and sound does not go higher than 40 & some channels volume is louder than others. Locked out of room last day. Poor response from staff who 'demanded' id - could have handled professionally. Door in dining room by kitchen banged incessantly every few seconds from staff going in and out. Breakfast hot buffet was cold at 8.45. May 24, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Pity about the noise This hotel has all the hallmarks of being a high-quality hotel with a fantastic Sydney location. The room I shared was a standard hotel size on the city side of the building. The finishings were good - but I would have expected more for the price. Personally, I hate shower curtains. The biggest problem is the noise. The room walls and doors just don't have adequate noise insulation. People just walking down the corridor having a standard conversation can be heard. People in adjacent rooms going about their business like showering or boiling the kettle can be heard. In fact the noise of the shower going is only stifled by the continual noise of the air conditioner that you need to keep on as there are no opening windows. The lack of adequate noise insulation is a real pity. April 28, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Views Great Location Rooms Eh! I booked a Deluxe Room via SPG points and then put in more points to get a Harbor view. When we arrived I was told that since we were SPG gold elite that we had been upgraded. Our room was indeed on the Harbor side with a great view, but, the room itself was not deluxe and tiny without a bath. So instead of an upgrade we were actually downgraded from what I believe I had booked. I did not complain as we were only to be there 3 days, but after stays at the Westin in both Sydney and Melbourne we were spoiled! June 8, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Waiting staff needs improvement On the first night I arrived, I went to have dinner in the restaurant at the lobby (corn exchange, if not mistaken). I ordered from the a la carte menu and the food took over half an hour to arrive. I had to ask a couple of times before the food was delivered. When the food was arrived, the staff didn't even apologise for the wait. I also booked for a king bed room and received a 2 single bed room. At the check-out, I used the express check-out facility and got overcharged for breakfast (breakfast is meant to be included in the rate). There are 2 points I want to make on this incident: 1. The draft bill was delivered to my room the night prior to my check-out and it was correct, however, in the actual bill (post checkout), 2 breakfast items were added 2. I then called to rectify the matter and asked if a new invoice can be issued. I checked on the credit card that the issue has indeed been rectified, however, until the time of my writing this comment, I have not yet received the revised invoice June 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Queens Birthday Weekend stay fit for a King Wonderful three night stay at Four Points by Sheraton. Fabulous harbour room view with balcony. Extremely comfortable bed until last night when sheets were changed and it was obvious that it was two singles joined but not at same levels making a large ridge in the middle. Breakfast buffet is excellent but Seafood dinner buffet did not have enough options for those who are not keen on seafood but enjoy a buffet. Would definitely stay again, staff extremely helpful and friendly and great central location. June 11, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hotel is nice enough but accounts handling shocking! I was visiting Sydney on business and room was booked and to be charged on a corporate Amex. On check in I was told there was no credit card and room was not pre-paid so I needed to provide my photo ID and personal credit card, as it was after hours I was unable to contact my office to get it resolved and complied. They provided a form advising my company can send it in and charges will be applied correctly. On check out the next day I confirmed this and they advised if received by 6pm my CC will not be charged. When I arrived at the office that day I discussed the ordeal and the PA who booked confirmed she had provided strict instructions to the hotel regarding payment and all should have gone smoothly. My Manager completed the form and faxed to the hotel as required around 12pm. When I arrived back at Melbourne the following morning I found an invoice in my inbox advising my master card had been charged the full amount. I called the hotel to clarify and they advised my manager never cleared the account so they proceeded with charges. After back and forth they forwarded me to accounts who, after arguing further with me about the account, magically found the form and cleared the account. Other hotels this has been a seamless transaction where I arrive, provide my CC as a security and check out with no issues of payment / charges afterwards. Very disappointing. July 9, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Refurbished rooms very nice Pro: Centrally located, very nice king room that was refurbished Con: Did Express checkout (won't be doing this again) and had a breakfast charge automatically billed to me for which I did not consume. Still not resolved 3 x days later, after I contacted hotel immediately to query the charge. June 21, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Definition of an Upgrade The first time, staff claimed I was upgraded to a suite (I'm Platinum), and it's just a standard room. The second time, staff said I was upgraded to a harbour deluxe room but I originally booked that room type, it wasn't really an upgrade...! The phone app was allowing suites to be booked but none was available. (However, the manager was able to sort this out by at least giving me the original room type that I booked.) Upgrades are very tight since this property changed hand. It used to be the most consistent and generous Starwood in Sydney, but that is no longer the case. For this class of hotel and at its price, there may be better choices elsewhere. Room was also in the wrong configuration. It took 3 phone calls and visits to the front desk and over 5 hours to correct. Not good. November 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Maritime Suites I recently stayed in a Maritime Suite and must say it is one of the best hotels rooms going in Sydney. Views were spectacular and location is perfect. I have stayed at this property and others in the Group, but on this occasion we had disappointing room service that was cold and soggy, and the front desk didn't seem to be too fussed when I told them the next morning - despite the $150 bill I had to pay!! Little disappointing, especially when the service I have received in the past cannot be faulted. October 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Preferred Hotel in Sydney OVERALL IMPRESSION: Nice hotel in the heart of Sydney’s CBD with great views of the harbor and easy walking distance to most tourist attractions. I recommend this hotel. SPG RECOGNITION: I was offered an upgraded room with view of the water. THE ROOM: Was a good sized room, modern furniture and nice bathroom. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: For Sydney, I felt the room size was large and spacious. Also, the views of Darling Harbor were fantastic and really added to the stay. DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS: None. Rated 5 out of 5 by Extremely pleasant surprise I travel weekly for business and a lot for pleasure. Originally from sydney now living in california I was a little wary of the four points as usually it is not SPGs greatest brand - well did this property prove me wrong - Professional and friendly staff - Great location - centre of city next door to darling Harbour and only a stroll to sydney harbor - Great clean modern renovated rooms Not great dining options but you don't really need it given its proximity - Extremely good value - ill be back February 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by General I stay with you at least once a month and always request some european bread at breakfast, rye or sour dough. It's available at diner, why not breakfast? I requested an upgrade if possible since I stay with you so often, but was told you are fully booked. My colleagues checked in two minutes later and received a harbour view upgrade?? On Friday my room was finally made up at 16h00. A bit late! and that was after I requested it. Other than the above, I continue to enjoy and recommend the hotel!. November 10, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Good position near to city and sights I liked the position of the hotel to darling harbour. Bar Eleven was a lovely venue for evening drinks, but disappointed only open certain nights and no shade or cover for sun and rain. Also needs to be bigger as hard to get a seat. Maybe not allow children after 6pm? Didnt eat in restaurant at all as always too busy. Service in the bar was useless, staff didnt know how to make a cocktail and had to ask for bill. Also service in Bar Eleven was really poor. Concierge very helpful and friendly. January 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfort, location and luxury at a great price The staff at this hotel could not have been more accommodating or professional. The rooms were spacious and the beds, the most comfortable I have ever slept in, other than my own. Highly recommended for beautiful Harbour views, luxury, and excellent location for all of Sydney's top attractions. Having a huge car park directly across the street also made getting there and parking, another plus to this hotel. 5 stars! May 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The hotel location is great The hotel location is great. David Fraser took personal care and ensure I had an upgrade to the Harbour facing premiem room. This room is much better than the standard room which I stayed during my last visit. Hence I made all my team members stay in the same hotel - in total 10 of them. David's follow up as the GM of the hotel is commendable. If I have to stay here again, it would be only because of David. The only dissatisfaction factor was that the room's A/C was not working, the temperature always stayed around 17.5-18C and it is extremely cold to sleep or spend time in the room. I complained thrice and no one ever came to repair it. I was only given a room heater. Not sure if that is a standard experience in this hotel but as I know it isn't the same experience in Starwood properties. October 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Noisy Doors slamming from 6am to midnight. Not for anyone who needs their rest. Something wrong with this hotel, it has the loudest slamming doors I've experienced anywhere. The staff don't help, they are cleaning rooms from 8am and making more noise, including having no concept of closing doors quietly. Lastly, building works going on from early in the morning. Same thing. No idea about keeping quiet and not barging around like a herd of elephants. Far far too noisy for this category of hotel. August 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Almost Posh Well located with a fabulous view of Darling Harbour (or a not bad view of Sussex Street), the Four Points isn't a bad place to stay. However, for the price, the fit outs (doors, especially) ought to at least close properly. The staff - especially the concierges - were brilliant. The restaurants were disappointing: $5.50 for a small, mediocre flat white is simply insulting when the average Sydney cafe charges $3 for a nice one. The buffet breakfasts and dinners were equally overpriced. Bar Eleven - while also costly - is incredibly comfortable and has a view worth the extra $20 per bottle of white. A really amazing experience. Great location - close to Circular Quay and the Rocks, Hyde Park, Chinatown etc. Recommended - so long as you get a good deal on your room and don't eat at the restaurant. February 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Where are the taxis? For a hotel to boast as being the largest in Australia, it should have better arrangements with local taxi service providers. I waited nearly 30 minutes on Sunday at midday for a taxi to the airport. Coupled with the elderly driver who finally showed up and the surface streets he took to get to SYD, I arrived for my flight with only an hour to spare. In total, from the time starting with me coming downstairs to my arrival at the airport, it was a 1 hour and 20 minutes journey. March 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel is over priced I would have expected that for the amount we paid for the rooms that we would have received breakfast as part of the package. Also amazed to see shower curtains instead of a proper shower cubicle. Features in the shower/ toilet area were poor. The second room we booked was small and pocky. No free Wi-Fi!!! Proximity to outside bar on 11th floor very noisy. We have stayed in hotels in the city that provided more for less and would recommend them before this hotel. Overall very disappointed. Only issue was the TV in the room (#613) had seen better days, picture clarity dreadful, sound like it was coming through a couple of pillows. Needs replacing. Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel is overpriced We've stayed at Four points a couple of times in the last month. We found the check in time was very slow and not particularly helpful.The room had already been paid for but on both occasions I had to wait to get it sorted, including having my credit card being charged then reversed - after I told reception it was definately paid for. At no time were we advised that we needed to use the card in the elevator, a small thing I know but we met other people on the lift who didn't know either. The room setup in the last stay was not worth the money. There was no bedside table, the TV was in a stupid place and the lighting was either too bright or the opposite. No lounge chairs and the shower recess was downright dangerous. Also $40 parking on top of the room and breakfast on top of that - not worth it November 7, 2012
