Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic hotel This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. The hotel is located right on Darling Harbour, and has very easy access to good food and shopping, as well as the aquarium and wildlife center. The Ferry docks are a short walk on the water front, giving you quick access to other areas in Sydney. The food at the hotel was excellent with a great breakfast buffet to start your day. The staff is some of the best and most helpful I have run across in all my travels. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Sydney. February 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not comfortable The shower rose was angled (and not moveable) so that my back was against a shelf in the shower. Low water pressure just added to the discomfort. Add in the freeway noise, a balcony that couldn't be accessed to get a most uncomfortable room. Lucky the bed was comfortable. March 8, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by made most welcome! Absolutely 100% enjoyed our stay at four Points. The room was a decent size with VERY comfortable king sized bed and fabulous views over darling harbour. The buffet breakfast was one of the biggest I have seen at any other hotel we have stayed. Absolutely brilliant how breakfast is served until 10.30 and the late 11am checkout rather than the normal 10am was much appreciated. The staff were all wonderful offering great service. Loved the 11th floor bar with magical views of the Saturday night fireworks. Thank you January 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great staff, great location This was the third time this year that I've stayed at 4 Points Darling harbour - this is a consistently good hotel with friendly, helpful staff and usually available at a good price. The concierge and front desk staff are always willing to help, and even though it is not the newest hotel in town, it is generally good value and I have never had any issues with my rooms. A couple of minor disappointments this visit with cold bacon and weak coffee at breakfast, but I was in too much of a hurry to notify the staff to rectify this. My previous experiences at The Corn Exchange have been almost faultless, breakfast or dinner. Other than that, checking in and out was very quick and easy and Ashley at the Lobby Bar was great. I don't have any hesitation in recommending this hotel. December 24, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by EXPECT TO ENJOY 5 STAR TREATMENT STAFF THAT ARE PROFESSIONAL & POLITE WHO WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE ME FEEL SPECIAL. THE ROOM WAS RELAXING WITH A GREAT VIEW AND THE BED WAS AN ABSOLUTE DREAM TO SLEEP IN. LOVE THE BED. POSITION OF HOTEL IS IDEAL & IS IN EASY REACH TO MANY ATTRACTIONS. ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO STAY HERE. Rated 3 out of 5 by Definition of an Upgrade The first time, staff claimed I was upgraded to a suite (I'm Platinum), and it's just a standard room. The second time, staff said I was upgraded to a harbour deluxe room but I originally booked that room type, it wasn't really an upgrade...! The phone app was allowing suites to be booked but none was available. (However, the manager was able to sort this out by at least giving me the original room type that I booked.) Upgrades are very tight since this property changed hand. It used to be the most consistent and generous Starwood in Sydney, but that is no longer the case. For this class of hotel and at its price, there may be better choices elsewhere. Room was also in the wrong configuration. It took 3 phone calls and visits to the front desk and over 5 hours to correct. Not good. November 11, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Pity about the noise This hotel has all the hallmarks of being a high-quality hotel with a fantastic Sydney location. The room I shared was a standard hotel size on the city side of the building. The finishings were good - but I would have expected more for the price. Personally, I hate shower curtains. The biggest problem is the noise. The room walls and doors just don't have adequate noise insulation. People just walking down the corridor having a standard conversation can be heard. People in adjacent rooms going about their business like showering or boiling the kettle can be heard. In fact the noise of the shower going is only stifled by the continual noise of the air conditioner that you need to keep on as there are no opening windows. The lack of adequate noise insulation is a real pity. April 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Views Great Location Rooms Eh! I booked a Deluxe Room via SPG points and then put in more points to get a Harbor view. When we arrived I was told that since we were SPG gold elite that we had been upgraded. Our room was indeed on the Harbor side with a great view, but, the room itself was not deluxe and tiny without a bath. So instead of an upgrade we were actually downgraded from what I believe I had booked. I did not complain as we were only to be there 3 days, but after stays at the Westin in both Sydney and Melbourne we were spoiled! June 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by General I stay with you at least once a month and always request some european bread at breakfast, rye or sour dough. It's available at diner, why not breakfast? I requested an upgrade if possible since I stay with you so often, but was told you are fully booked. My colleagues checked in two minutes later and received a harbour view upgrade?? On Friday my room was finally made up at 16h00. A bit late! and that was after I requested it. Other than the above, I continue to enjoy and recommend the hotel!. November 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Queens Birthday Weekend stay fit for a King Wonderful three night stay at Four Points by Sheraton. Fabulous harbour room view with balcony. Extremely comfortable bed until last night when sheets were changed and it was obvious that it was two singles joined but not at same levels making a large ridge in the middle. Breakfast buffet is excellent but Seafood dinner buffet did not have enough options for those who are not keen on seafood but enjoy a buffet. Would definitely stay again, staff extremely helpful and friendly and great central location. June 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Maritime Suites I recently stayed in a Maritime Suite and must say it is one of the best hotels rooms going in Sydney. Views were spectacular and location is perfect. I have stayed at this property and others in the Group, but on this occasion we had disappointing room service that was cold and soggy, and the front desk didn't seem to be too fussed when I told them the next morning - despite the $150 bill I had to pay!! Little disappointing, especially when the service I have received in the past cannot be faulted. October 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent stay in Sydney WE booked the hotel online and found it was Australai day two days after our arrival from UK. We had a very comfortable 9th floor room overlooking Darling Harbour and had great view of fireworks on Australia Day celebrations. Hotel staff were excellent and the buffect breakfast was great. Locataion good for Darling Harbour facilities and central shopping and ferrries to Opera House etc. Would certainly book this hotel again. January 31, 2014

Location is unbeatable to Chinatown, downtown shopping district and Hyde Park. State Theatre and QVB Building is just up the road, surrounded by lots of eating places. March 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Preferred Hotel in Sydney OVERALL IMPRESSION: Nice hotel in the heart of Sydney’s CBD with great views of the harbor and easy walking distance to most tourist attractions. I recommend this hotel. SPG RECOGNITION: I was offered an upgraded room with view of the water. THE ROOM: Was a good sized room, modern furniture and nice bathroom. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: For Sydney, I felt the room size was large and spacious. Also, the views of Darling Harbor were fantastic and really added to the stay. DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS: None. Rated 4 out of 5 by The hotel location is great The hotel location is great. David Fraser took personal care and ensure I had an upgrade to the Harbour facing premiem room. This room is much better than the standard room which I stayed during my last visit. Hence I made all my team members stay in the same hotel - in total 10 of them. David's follow up as the GM of the hotel is commendable. If I have to stay here again, it would be only because of David. The only dissatisfaction factor was that the room's A/C was not working, the temperature always stayed around 17.5-18C and it is extremely cold to sleep or spend time in the room. I complained thrice and no one ever came to repair it. I was only given a room heater. Not sure if that is a standard experience in this hotel but as I know it isn't the same experience in Starwood properties. October 24, 2013

Originally from sydney now living in california I was a little wary of the four points as usually it is not SPGs greatest brand - well did this property prove me wrong - Professional and friendly staff - Great location - centre of city next door to darling Harbour and only a stroll to sydney harbor - Great clean modern renovated rooms Not great dining options but you don't really need it given its proximity - Extremely good value - ill be back February 8, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel is over priced I would have expected that for the amount we paid for the rooms that we would have received breakfast as part of the package. Also amazed to see shower curtains instead of a proper shower cubicle. Features in the shower/ toilet area were poor. The second room we booked was small and pocky. No free Wi-Fi!!! Proximity to outside bar on 11th floor very noisy. We have stayed in hotels in the city that provided more for less and would recommend them before this hotel. Overall very disappointed. Rated 3 out of 5 by Just okay I stayed for 3 nights on a work trip mid-week. The airconditioner leaked. My colleague's room had a broken thermostat stuck at 24 degrees. The showers go with 'the wet room' idea - ie. half a screen with no door. The pressure on the shower was poor so all the steam escaped and it was cold. The breakfast buffet was well done and I would recommend it. February 19, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Noisy Doors slamming from 6am to midnight. Not for anyone who needs their rest. Something wrong with this hotel, it has the loudest slamming doors I've experienced anywhere. The staff don't help, they are cleaning rooms from 8am and making more noise, including having no concept of closing doors quietly. Lastly, building works going on from early in the morning. Same thing. No idea about keeping quiet and not barging around like a herd of elephants. Far far too noisy for this category of hotel. August 24, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Smelly lobby in Sydney I was ver dissapointed that the lobby resaurant would consistently stink up the whole lobby. I stayed there 4 days and every morning and evening the burnt bread or raw fish smells were purvasive. Simply changing the air flow could aleviate the problem. Too bad. Nice location. Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel is overpriced We've stayed at Four points a couple of times in the last month. We found the check in time was very slow and not particularly helpful.The room had already been paid for but on both occasions I had to wait to get it sorted, including having my credit card being charged then reversed - after I told reception it was definately paid for. At no time were we advised that we needed to use the card in the elevator, a small thing I know but we met other people on the lift who didn't know either. The room setup in the last stay was not worth the money. There was no bedside table, the TV was in a stupid place and the lighting was either too bright or the opposite. No lounge chairs and the shower recess was downright dangerous. Also $40 parking on top of the room and breakfast on top of that - not worth it November 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel I recently stayed here for a week and was really impressed with everything at this hotel, especially all of the friendly staff! From the moment my best friend and I stepped out of our cab at the hotel we were treated like princesses. The staff were always so friendly and helpful with anything we needed throughout our stay at Four Points. It really made our holiday in Sydney so special. We both just wanted to say a big thank-you to everyone at the hotel for making us feel so very welcome :) January 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best all round hotel in Australia I run a high end digital marketing and Media company and I have traveled the world and stay in ALOT of nice hotels. Four points is definitely one of the best. GREAT buffet, staff are friendly an d very respectful. Harbour view room has excellent view and very nice design of rooms. I will always stay at Four points any time I am traveling to syd for work or holiday. Unfortunately I did not have enough time to explore the facilities however I will certainly be back as soon as I can. October 20, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by What happened to the housekeeper I went out two days in a row at 10am returning at 1.30pm. Neither day was my room refreshed, I had no clean towels and only one towel per person which is not enough if a lady has long hair and wants to wash it. March 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by What a view We stayed on the 11th floor overlooking Darling Harbor. What a view and location. The rooms were very clean and modern. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We couldn't ask for a better location where we had a choice of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. On the Saturday night we experienced a feast of seafood in the hotel's restaurant. Great value and delicious food. We will definetly be staying there again and I have already recommended it to many of my friends an family. January 21, 2013
