Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Staff I have had the pleasure to stay at Four Points Sheraton on many occasions. It is in a great location, staff are friendly and most helpful. Concierge staff are absolutely brilliant and do everything to make you feel at home. Food and beverage is adequate and once again staff are most helpful. September 9, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Extremley disappointed once again I have stayed previously at this Hotel and each time I leave very disapointed. Basically the Hotel is in a great location an very well presented. the refurbished rooms are very nice to stay in. My problem (not the first time) has come with the way this Hotel handles the finances. I checked in (my accomodation was pre paid in full) and at front reception they asked for a credit card as usual. The very pleasant girl at the desk said "we will be taking a $50 hold on the card for incidentals" I did comment that it was only $50? She said yes. I then went to use my card the next morning to find it declined. Upon checking, I found that the hotel had charged $150 and $370 to my card in addition to my prepayment. This is not the first time this has happended at this Hotel. Last time it took the Manger of the Hotel and the Finance people to organise the refund to my account some 3 weeks later. the manager at that time assured me it was a once off and he would ensure I was taken care of on my next visit. Here we are again and the same thing happened! Needless to say I immediately rang the Hotel. They were unsure why this had happened. the receptionist kept putting me on hold to talk to the Duty Manager. Nothing they could do apparently. After insisting on speaking to the Duty Manger, (who I found quite rude and certainly needs more training in handling an upset customer). She ssured me she was immediately returning the funds to my account. It is now 3 days later and they are not returned. Quite frankly I am over this type of customer service. I do not feel valued as a customer of this Hotel. On another note, we went to the Roof Bar on the 11th Floor on the Friday night. Had to put up with the staff arguing behind the counter, then presenting me with the wrong drinks. After asking for what we ordered he left in in huff and brought back cocktails that were watered down because they didnt have enough cranberry juice.. apparently! He still had the gaul to charge $18 per cocktail for what was half a glass of water and the pleasure of listening to then argue. Overall I am more than disappointed! Customer service was very good at reception and concierge, but I cant say anything positive about the Duty Manger or the bar staff. Tell me... would you return on the experience above. Rated 2 out of 5 by Still too many basic errors This is a big hotel in a great location but still just feels to much as if there's too little care taken with guests. Night 1 - checked in; concierge only offered to help with my bags after I'd already loaded myself up and was nearly at the lifts. My room smelled really awful as if there was mould growing under the carpet so I rang the hotel 'Solutions' desk and asked to change. Yes I could change in the morning but not that night (which was fine as it was late) but there was no apology, no interest in why it smelled (so it would probably just be relet to the next poor guest) and no sense of anyone caring at all that the hotel was letting out sub-standard rooms. I dropped my room keys off at the desk in the morning explaining that I was changing rooms. The receptionist was a trainee and his supervisor checked my name and nodded, but again, no apology, no explanation and no interest. Night 2 - went back to check back in, met the same receptionist as the night before and commented as such, talked briefly with her and then she asked me to provide picture ID again to revalidate my identity. Ridiculous and a minor point but its very telling when staff follow 'processes' even when they lead to totally ridiculous situations - are they so beholden to 'process' that they've become robbed of common sense and discretionary intelligence? Night 2 otherwise fine - usual irritations trying to switch the TV away from in-house advertising/pay to view movies and over to 'TV'. Nights 2 & 3 otherwise fine, a bit of a wait to check-out on the final morning and concierge staff offered to store my bag while I waited (no pun intended). Check-out girl sounded a little irritable as she couldn't wait for me to finish sentences and just talked over me - again, several of the staff were just too 'robotic' and unintentionally rude as a result. I also ate in the Dundee Arms before leaving; I've used this hotel a few times over the last few years and the music in the Dundee Arms is ALWAYS too loud for conversations to be pleasant. The food was expensive for what was provided and all of the outside heaters were on despite it still being a warm 26C at the time - too much process again? This is actually a really nice hotel with great facilities and a great location but the basic lack of care and attention to detail amongst staff just drags it down. September 6, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by not value for money I have stayed at many 4 & 5* hotels in my time and was astonished to see that this hotel doesn't offer complimentary bottled water in the rooms for guests, charge for internet access, charge for car parking (with no valet parking) & bath room facilities and amenities are very cheap with very little water pressure coming from the shower head. This hotel is not value for money. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the view. September 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Interesting? Communication with many of the inhouse staff difficult? There ability to respond to simple information questions and assist with lost items very taxing! Your inhouse Concierge has a difficulty customer service & attitude very disappointing. Your front man front of house on arrival from the time heopens your car door is exceptional! Tony is man of csutomer service extraordinaire! Nothing is a problem may we have some more of him please!!!!!! September 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very comfortable refurbished room The refurbished room was most comfortable and exceeded my expectation. The staff at check-in were very helpful and courteous. Being in the heart of Sydney's Darling Harbor precinct, the hotel provided easy access to the facilities in Darling Harbor and also easy access to all the cruise facilities and restaurants in the King St Wharf area. Rated 2 out of 5 by Despite the renovations, things still need to be improved! I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago, and had the opportunity to repeat the visit just last week! The location is brilliant, and as its part of SPG and my company's hotel program, this fits the bill! However, I was appalled at the overall things that could go wrong despite the renovation that happened! 1) The keys to room didn't work.. TWICE! No it was not because they were magnatized (i know enough to keep them separate in different parts of my bag/pants), but TWICE I had to walk all the way to the corner last room to find out that it didnt work, take the lift all the way down, queue at the reception, and wait,..wait..wait.. it needed some manager authorization, and then only I had new keys. If it was a one off thing, I could have striked it down to luck.. but the same thing happen the next day again??? 2) The room was nicely renovated and I had a good view of the harbour.. however the smell of new paint and carpets was still lingering..its as if they couldnt wait to let it dry out before hurrying new guests into it! 3) The heaters in the hotel didn't work! It was a colder than usual day and luckily the hotel had a portable heater.. it was noisy, but at least i didnt have to pay to freeze. 4) Lastly, at a premium price (not allowed to mention here), you'd expect a little bit more from the hotel.. like free breakfast, or internet or some free coffee/drinks.. This renovation really seemed to move the hotel backwards than forwards.. What did work? The request to grant early check in was very nice! Especially after an overnighter! Would I Stay here again? Unless something in the value equation improves, i'm definitely moving to the another chain and this is from a very loyal SPG member!) SIgh.. August 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel with great location and breakfast I stayed at this hotel for one night. The room was excellent, got upgraded of course. Room had a perfect view. I loved the morning breakfast. The only issue I had was while printing a document but front desk took care of it very diligently. I would highly recommend this hotel. August 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Noisy Doors slamming from 6am to midnight. Not for anyone who needs their rest. Something wrong with this hotel, it has the loudest slamming doors I've experienced anywhere. The staff don't help, they are cleaning rooms from 8am and making more noise, including having no concept of closing doors quietly. Lastly, building works going on from early in the morning. Same thing. No idea about keeping quiet and not barging around like a herd of elephants. Far far too noisy for this category of hotel. August 24, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing to say the least Small little single bed which had hairs in it when I got in. Also there was a loud banging all night outside and even during the day - thought it might be the flag pole but it was not. Asked to move rooms in the morning and the man at the front desk said he would call me to let me know during the day! Never heard a peep from him and had to endure the same awful bed and noise the next night! Will not be staying there again August 23, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel is poor I dont mind paying for internet but it is slow despite of charging customer at $20 per day. Check in to first room and cant connect to internet. Solution team change me to another room but still with same problem cant connect to internet. Feedback to solution team (call center) and request to speak to duty manager but never call back. Everytime i have to wait 15min for a response. August 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Hotel in a good travel location The Hotel is located in Darling Harbour which is a very good location which with many entertainment and visit points. Very nice harbour view but the room size bit small. We had a seafood buffet which is very valve for money we met the promotion period. August 22, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by New rooms not so great Been staying at this hotel for a week each year for over 5 years. New rooms are nicely decorated, however there are a few problems. Rooms are dark, with very little lighting. The bathroom has two down lights, so you can hardly see yourself in the mirror. Showers have very little water pressure, and on high temp is still not very hot. Rooms are smaller since the recent renovations. I also cant believe they do not offer free WiFi, must be the only hotel that does not. August 19, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Outstanding Assistant Concierge Outstanding Assistant Concierge This was our third stay at the Four Points. While each time this year our room has been more expensive and less luxurious (even not including the breakfast buffet this time), we will continue to recommend the property. During this trip, we were very impressed with the knowledge and kindness of all the concierges, but especially with an Assistant Concierge on duty during the weekend evenings. He made several recommendations and reservations for us. In each case our expectations were exceeded. He is an outstanding example of why to stay at SPG properties and deserves to be commended. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Location with fantastic harbour view room Fantastic location, room is clean and comfortable especially harbour view room comes with superb darling harbour view. Front office staff are very helpful too and they are always with great smile. Except for the concierge counter, there was a guy with no smile to me at all while i were trying to ask him for direction to city area. Also, the housekeeping staff are not consistent in replenishing my room amenities. Example, they'll give me toothbrush set today but not tomorrow. Despite all those, I enjoyed my stay very much. Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful stay We booked 2 rooms for 4 adults. We stayed overnight during a weekend in Sydney. We left wishing we could have stayed longer. It had modern stylish decor. The staff were all faultless. The rooms were quiet and well appointed. Buffet breakfast was great. August 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mediocre hotel and less than desired experience Friendly & helpful staff; greeting with a smile. Check are normal, room is kind of small. Minimalist design I would say. What was truly bad is that coverage & stability of the Wireless Internet was really very poor; even in the room, you will lose connection as certain corner – like the study table. I found the signal strongest near or at the bed. Hotel is near the Darling Harbor & Chinatown so it’s definitely a plus point. August 10, 2013
