Rated 2 out of 5 by You need to pay for amenities I had a room with shower, no bath tub and I workout everyday so a soak would have been nice. I chose the hotel because of the fitness centre and the pool and the pool was only open 5 - 9pm and did not fit at all with my schedule so was unable to use it, grrr. I bring my own food and found out there was no fridge nor microwave, you have to purchase those as add ons, wish I knew. i wouldn't stay there again because it's not a client focused hotel at all. Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel is a wonderful place to stay We really enjoyed our stay at your hotel. The staff was most welcoming. Parking was a breeze. Perfect location to see two very beautiful cities by car and on foot. The hotel is beautiful. We had two meals at l'Ardoise. The food was excellent. Excellent value, and the waiter and waitress who served us could not have been friendlier. Our room was lovely, with a huge shower, king sized bed, easily adjustable temp. Tops in every way. Rated 5 out of 5 by one word "Excellent" Its the best hotel i ever stayed at ! All the staff are thoughtful/kind and very helpful. The room ..excellent ! The gym...just right! the location ...perfect !! relaxing/cozy /peaceful.... I love that bridge (short walk) over to Ottawa.Very scenic with the towering Parliament buildings in the background. Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hotel, loud guests Good overall, but there were childrens hockey teams checked in. Of course kids are kids, but the 20 adults standing in the hallway on the 4th floor and having a good time at 11pm at night was just a bit annoying. Hotel apparently unable to do much about it.... apparently. However, nice facility and good staff so try not to pick a hockey tourney weekend! February 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Hotel We had a room with one king size bed. Other than the washroom, everything was PERFECT. When filling up the water tank the toilet was making a very loud noise. We could not use the toilet at night. Also the design of the washroom area was poor. Could not open up the door , halfway it was hitting the toilet, not good for oversize people. July 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing location to local attractions, Pet Friendly & the Rideau Canal! I was automatically upgraded due to available space - without requesting it and due to my being an SPG Preferred member, which costs nothing to join. Walked across the street with my dog and walked along the Rideau Canal for hours. Access to local attractions, museums and great food was all in walking distance! August 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great experience! Stayed here for two nights. Kids loved the pool, we loved the location - right across the street from the Museum of Civilization. Restaurant was a bit disappointing (breakfast was pricey), but everything else was awesome. Staff at reception desk were very attentive, helpful and friendly. March 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Reno - Small additions could go a long way I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past several years and am pleased with the recent room upgrades. There are a couple of little items that are typically missing from hotel rooms. A shower cap and makeup mirror would seal the deal for me as a woman business traveller. March 18, 2013

Great service, friendly staff that always welcome you with a smile. the Ardoise restaurant has revamped its menu, the rooms are comfortable and the location is easily accessible. February 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has great features, but scope for improvement Everything was absolutely good, cleanliness, Internet, mattress. But really missed a refrigerator and microwave. The TV channels were very very limited. I have a 3 year old and just one channel for kids. Nothing good for adults either. They need to give more options. April 13, 2013

Foe the past several years I have always chosen SPG group of hotels and as always it has maintained my highest degree of expectation, From cleanliness, price, staff and overall experience is as good or better from the last. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel - Problem with Parking We have stayed at this facility a number of times and the staff has been both friendly and responsive. Our last stay was less than ideal since we booked the room with parking included, and that was not recognized at the facility. We were charged for parking, and I was told that it had been charged by the manager and so could not be reversed.While it was respectful and polite, we still paid for parking that we understood was included. The hotel was clean and nice, however my stay was one of my worst within SPG, but it was not due to the hotel itself, but the other guests who kept us up all night (even after contacting the front desk about the major noise that was happening for over 2+ hours between the times of midnight and 3am). Then in the morning, similarly we were woken up with kids left to "play" in the hallway. Our room was at the end of the hallway and around the corner yet we still were woken up due the "thin walls". Overall the hotel was nice and clean, but the walls were too think (not an issue in any other SPG property I've stayed at) and the handling of the noise from midnight to 3am was not satisfactory. Rated 4 out of 5 by buffet breakfast a disappointment Although I said that the staff did not meet my expectations, its not because of the staff - the dining room was understaffed. I recently stayed at the 4 pts and had their buffet breakfast. Unfortunately, they were extrememly short staffed - there was one server for the entire dining room. I was not able to get the beverages which I requested. I do not fault the server - she was working extrememly hard and quickly. Her work load was just not doable. They also ran out of some of the hot food and it was not replenished. I had to leave before I was able to eat - as there was no food. The hotel itself is very nice - comfortable rooms, friendly staff, good location. September 27, 2013

I also don't mind re-using my towels and linens but I would still like housekeeping to make the bed, empty the garbage cans. May 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Overall: average Pros: Well-located in Hull. Meals at the pub-restaurant are original, delicious, of great quality and are well-priced. Rooms are nice, staff is friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi internet, pool, fitness center and interior parking were appreciated. Cons: rooms could have been cleaner (garbage cans where not emptied regularly) and rooms were not always provided with new soap bars, coffee bags, etc. Could have been quieter: room and elevator doors are noisy, windows are of poor quality (cold and noisy), heating & plumbing systems are noisy as well ... Had problems with the invoice ...Mini corner store could have more snack food. January 19, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel is very affordable Usually, we stay at the Four Points / Sheraton when we have business in Ottawa. The Hotel is quite clean , but last weekend there are a lot of children (hundred of them), therefore, it was noisy and not clean enough for us and the parking is overloaded. However, in general, we must say that it is a very acceptable hotel. The personnel was nice to us and acted promptly to our requests. April 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Location, Clean and Reasonable We enjoyed clean room and big flat screen TV. If you could offer fresh coffee at lobby, would be nicer, not just coffee maker in room. Parking should be discounted for the guests. May 5, 2014
