The hotel is situated well but I find the housekeeping could use improvement. The renovations are refreshing but the workmanship could have been better i.e., the grouting in the bathroom isn't very good and I imagine won't last long.

While generally an excellent example of a high quality hotel, a few minor customer services could be improved. Free water in the room was a nice feature, but I got this on two of my five nights. Was the lack of water the other nights an oversight? When I purchased water from their lobby snack 'shelves' (no snack shop), the charge was ridiculously high ($2.50 for one small bottle). Bed was not re-made each day. The covers were just pulled straight leaving bottom sheet wrinkled and uncomfortable. Could not adjust TV so it wasn't distorted (stretched). Many hotels allow this so guests can watch the TV the way they prefer, and even offer high-def channels now. Room service menu apparently did not match what was available at the kitchen and when I found a choice they could make it was not delivered as described in the menu. A high quality hotel should do better.

I stay here whenever I come to Halifax for business because it's close walking distance to many great restaurants, pubs, the waterfront etc... They're also just completing renovations to the rooms which look great. Modern, bright bathrooms, clean, well designed. The staff, whether front desk or other, are always friendly and make sure the stay is comfortable.

Nice room, great location and priced very well.
Only complaint was the noise from partying neighbours. 3 rooms around us were partying and after 2 calls to the front desk it did become quieter. Only to be woken at 3 am when they arrived back and started partying again.
The staff did go each time and ask them to be quiet but an offer for us to move to a quieter floor would have been nice.

Everything was great during my recent business stay at the Four Points Halifax - room service was fast and great quality, staff was friendly in every area, and the room was clean and comfortable. Loved the $5 voucher for "going green" too!

I stayed here earlier this year and my stay was mediocre. So, I was a bit hesitant when our team decided to stay at this hotel...but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the room and front desk service.
My room (6017) had a king bed (very comfortable), working desk with chair, and a sitting area complete with couch, chair, coffee table and ottoman. The bathroom was quite spacious, and the shower was equipped with the double shower heads you should normally see at the Westin. Nice touch!
Service at the front desk was fast and efficient (better than my previous stay). Hotel is in a great location – close to the water, some great restaurants and shopping on Spring Garden Road.
I would recommend this hotel. Ask for the King room for a lot of comfortable space!

Our family stayed here for 2 nights this summer while touring the East Coast. We were very happy with the location, close to the boardwalk as well as The Citadel. The front desk staff were friendly and informative for directions for sites outside the City. The price was very fair for a summer stay.
