Rated 4 out of 5 by Jimtraveller Great location, great staff and great services
My family and I stayed at this hotel for our vacation in Halifax for the 1st time.
The check in was speedy and professional, and check out was smooth as well.
We have rooms on the same floor which were really convenient.
We opted for complementary breakfast as my platinum guest's welcome amenity. And we made the right choice. Breakfast was great with four great choices with quiet a few varieties. Our wait staff was great as well, the blonde lady with great smile and patience.
The location is super: a few blocks away from the harbour, many great eateries around such as McKelvies, Mogolian Grills, and Great Wall restaurants just to name a few; a short walk to the Halifax Public Garden, one of the most beautiful and well maintained gardens in the world.
Many coffee shops around, including Starbucks, Tim Horton's, and many local brands. Quite a few parks and museums around as well.
We really enjoyed our stay.
The front desk ladies are very helpful and knowledgeable in terms of providing advice for sight seeing.
Only downside: if there are conventions hosted at the hotel, the attendants for the conventions tend to be REALLY NOISY at night when they came back to their room - after they are DRUNK!

This hotel is so wonderful on every level.
I loved the bed, the shower, the whole room experience. The front desk staff is delightful, helpful, and they all have great attitudes.
What a pleasant experience I had.

We wanted to give special kudos to Hillary at the front desk. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, she was also so enthusiastic about the hotel and Halifax. She took the time to explain all the great features of the hotel and what we could go see in the Halifax area. Finding an employee that is willing to give you the information is great. Finding someone who does it was such clear enthusiasm, is a true gem that is very hard to find.
This hotel was well maintained and the location cannot be beat for downtown Halifax.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GRP1921 Another Enjoyable Stay
I just finished a 5 nights stay. I purposely chose the Four Points having stayed here before when visiting Halifax...once again I was very happy with my choice. I was given an obviously updated room and the staff were always friendly. Location is everything and as I have stated before, the hotel is centrally located for those walking around - block and a half from the Boardwalk, and about 6 blocks from the Citadel). I rented a car for 1 day and there is a Budget rental station literally steps from the hotel (probably 200 feet straight out the front doors). No doubt I will be back the next time I come to Halifax.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GRP1921 Good Location
Our family stayed here for 2 nights this summer while touring the East Coast. We were very happy with the location, close to the boardwalk as well as The Citadel. The front desk staff were friendly and informative for directions for sites outside the City. The price was very fair for a summer stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IANDBR Most enjoyable stay
We were met with very pleasant and friendly desk staff who welcomed us and, since we had booked online and pre-paid, took only a minute to check us in. Our room was large, provided all the amenities reasonably well appointed; beds were comfortable and ambient temperature comfortable; the room was quiet without noticeable external noise intruding. Room service provided tasty and relatively hot food with taxes and gratuities included on the bill. Parking was easily accessed and secure. Checkout was equally friendly and fast making good use of the technology with an automatic email bill being sent.
Overall, a very good hotel experience.
