Rated 5 out of 5 by Great weekend away Stayed here for a weekend away with my sister. Considering we both have 4 children, these beds were the most comfortable beds in the world and helped us to catch up from all those sleepless nights over the years. Haha. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The location could not have been better....walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. We will be definitely return to this hotel in a few years when we need to get away again. July 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel was great; not certain about the restaurant I should mention that the restaurant is not actually part of the hotel so; I was a bit surprised to find that I had to exit the hotel to get to the restaurant - would have preferred it to be easier to access. I ate most other meals elsewhere, so I can only speak to breakfast - it was okay, but the menu was a bit sparse and needs more variety. February 14, 2015

Rated 1 out of 5 by DONT FORGET IMPORTANT ITEMS As a loyal SPG member I choose to stay at the four points or Sheraton properties as my first choice for many of my business trips. There was an incident after I returned home from my trip in October I realized I forgot my reading glasses in my hotel. I contacted the hotel and they recovered my glasses. They sent me a payment request in order to have it shipped back to my residence in Toronto. I had two issues with the form: 1) The form did not include a total cost amount it just requested my Visa information, i felt as if i was signing a blank cheque. 2) The form timed out within a couple of hours. Due to a very demanding work schedule and balancing home life finding "spare" time is extremely difficult. Once I had the opportunity to follow up with the Halifax property I was passed along from employee to employee being promised to be followed up with call backs which were not fulfilled. I finally managed to get a hold of one of the hotel managers and was then told that my glasses were thrown out. I could understand if this was a bottle of shampoo or body wash. I was NOT given a timeline or even advised that this could have been a consequence for not completing the Paypal form. I am extremely disappointed in the way Sheraton handled my concern. After contacting and being advised that my glasses were in the possession of the hotel I would expect a follow up before doing something as drastic as to throw my $700 pair of glasses away. ESPECIALLY after speaking to upper level management and expressing the importance of receiving them back. As a loyal guest and advocate of the SPG brand I am hoping that this will be followed up with as soon as possible. January 29, 2015

Rated 3 out of 5 by Check in... The process takes forever and it was quite apparent that myself/group were not receiving the same information/ service that was being offered to the group beside us. When I had returned to the desk to ask about information that had been overlooked the front desk agent gave me attitude and did not listen to exactly what I was asking, therefore involving a manager for no reason. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location, great staff and great services My family and I stayed at this hotel for our vacation in Halifax for the 1st time. The check in was speedy and professional, and check out was smooth as well. We have rooms on the same floor which were really convenient. We opted for complementary breakfast as my platinum guest's welcome amenity. And we made the right choice. Breakfast was great with four great choices with quiet a few varieties. Our wait staff was great as well, the blonde lady with great smile and patience. The location is super: a few blocks away from the harbour, many great eateries around such as McKelvies, Mogolian Grills, and Great Wall restaurants just to name a few; a short walk to the Halifax Public Garden, one of the most beautiful and well maintained gardens in the world. Many coffee shops around, including Starbucks, Tim Horton's, and many local brands. Quite a few parks and museums around as well. We really enjoyed our stay. The front desk ladies are very helpful and knowledgeable in terms of providing advice for sight seeing. Highly recommend! Only downside: if there are conventions hosted at the hotel, the attendants for the conventions tend to be REALLY NOISY at night when they came back to their room - after they are DRUNK!
