Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel had a nice, homey atmosphere As a Four Points Brand, the hardware of the hotel perhaps is a bit weaker, but they are very hospitable, and make me feel at home. Especially the lounge which exceed the standard of Four Points. All the staff are polite, courteous and good-mannered. As a platinum member, I am always recognized at once when I am arrive at the lobby and I am always upgraded to a suite so long as they have a spare one. The hotel is my first choice when I stay in Shenzhen and I think the value of the hotel is beyond its rate. November 3, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by _ My stay was very comfortable, as usual. The room upgrade and the fruit platter was very much appreciated, as was the speedy check-in process. Everything was as I expected from my past experiences. There were two small points, however: 1) The service at breakfast was a little different from usual - the waiters seemed to be less attentive and pre-occupied with "other things" to attend to guests, 2) The room (non-smoking) I had seemed to smell of cigarette smoke. The room itself had no smoke, but rather it seemed like the smoke was either coming from someone smoking on the same floor (it was supposed to be a non-smoking floor), or from the air vents. Good hotels should address this issue seriously. Guests should also not be allowed to smoke in the lobby of the hotel. Otherwise, an enjoyable stay. February 2, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad Expectation I never have that expectation at a five star hotel like that, I checked in on 1st April 2012, that was east wing room no. 1008. After that I went out for a whole day, when I back to the room that already late night and found out the room was so bad as bad has the smelling and outside of the room carpet were so dirty too, so I called to the front desk and got the room changed to room 1310. After all done that like midnight and the service boy help me the get the air conditioning turn down degree, so I thought if was done. Becasue out for the whole day felt so tire and fall in sleep but about morning 4 something feel too hot and got the whole body wet thentry to get the air conditioning cooler but the control that really can't working. That until to the morning I check out on about 8. I really can't believe get that from a five star hotel. April 3, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Convenient location, and great value Located right near the Futian border, this hotel allows for easy access to/from Hong Kong. The complimentary shuttle is a great service, and the hotel staff are helpful. I personally prefer staying in the newer wing, as it also has easier access to the executive lounge. The balcony at the executive lounge gives a great view over the city, and has good meeting facilities. February 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable hotel after a long day's work Have stayed at this facility on business trips to Shenzhen. Enjoy the gym access and overall ambiance. With more stays and SPG membership, hotel recognizes repeat customer and offers some upgrades at no additional charge and makes for really pleasant and comfortable stays. I use the in room food service a lot due to long days at work and enjoy most of the food although a bit pricey. Room cleanliness has been good , but have experienced a few times where found some mildew. Exercise gym area could use some upgrading. During this recent stay, several treadmills were down at the same time. The majority of staffers are helpful and friendly. July 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bad Staffs Training The staffs in the hotel are not smart enough to fulfill customers need. Disappointed about their services. Most of them are just not in mood or have any heart to serve the customers. Their ability of speaking other language is very low. The outlook of the staffs who serve the conference was not tidy and look like sleepy. September 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Clean comfortable place to stay with an excellent staff Excellent hotel with a friendly and courteous staff. The rooms and facility are very clean and well maintained. Very safe location. Staff is always willing to help whether it is a maintenance issue or help with travel or even changing my checkout date. Great place to stay. Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappoint with the SPG recognition No information was given for the benefit as a Platinum member like internet, breakfast ... etc. No SPG recognition. Booked and confirmed a double room through SPG website but was told only twin room is available when check in. Then a standard double room was available "again" after a phone call. What does it mean? Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Location if going to Hong Kong and F&B are superb. It is a good stay this round as I have been a frequent guest at Four Point Sheration Shenzhen. Hotel staff has been attentive to my needs, and the only grouse of not getting cabs fast enough is downplayed if you cater for more time before getting out for meetings and to the airport etc. April 30, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel is good for business travellers The location of the hotel is not bad, there are free shuttle bus on every 15 minutes between the hotel and Futian checkpoint, which it's convenient if you go to HK across the border or take a metro for a city tour. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good business hotel in Futian I have recently stayed 29 nights at this hotel in two visits in quick succession. Much of the two trips were without colleagues. This is on top of long business trips staying at this hotel during 2011 and 2010. I made use of the excellent pool, and enjoyed some lovely steak meals in the restaurant on the 2nd floor. Service in the restaurant was excellent - very attentive, and puts the majority of western restaurants to shame in this respect. Clothing articals accidently left during a previous stay were waiting ready laundered in my room - thanks you Crystal. I would like to add my profound thanks to the lobby lounge team: Carol, Jon, Roll, Alisa, Kerry, Jennifer and others whose names that I regret that I cannot remember, for making the time and effort to make me feel very welcome during the time that I spent on these two solo business trips. Ricky should be, and no doubt he is, proud of his team. Thanks also to the front door staff for their friendly approach and especially Daisy for her wonderful smile every time that I went to and fro from the hotel. City centre bars and restaurants are a cheap taxi ride away. The border crossing to HK is a shortish walk, or complimentry minibus ride away. October 30, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Impressive service from the team! Stayed here for 2 nights in a room on a SPG floor. The lobby and public space look very nice and clean. The room is of decent size with two double beds and a view of paddy fields in Hong Kong across the Shenzhen River. The bathroom is very clean with a shower but no tub. The most amazing thing was the service we had. The first night, I suddenly had fell very sick and needed to go to ER in the middle of the night. At that time our 3 years old was fast asleep and we did not want to wake him up and get him to the hospital with us. We phoned the concierge at 2AM to see if anything could be arranged, and the manager on duty showed up in our room in a minute and assured us our kid would be taken care of. Even though the hotel does not have baby-sitting service (Four Points are limited service hotels), the manager asked a housekeeping lady to stay with our kid when we were gone, free of charge. He then escorted us down to the lobby where a cab was waiting for us already. The whole thing was handled extremely promptly and professionally. When returning we thanked the lady and gave her a good tip. We couldn’t be more grateful to and impressed by the team for what they did for us. What sets a great hotel apart from a good hotel is whether they can go above and beyond to meet guest requests and from our experience I have no doubt that Four Points Shenzhen is a great hotel! Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice decent hotel but needs to improve on communication skills We were advised by Front Office staff that we could have breakfast at the restaurant every morning by giving them our room number. But at the end of breakfast we were handed a bill, and while i informed them of what was communicated to me. Staff said "Yes you can have breakfast by giving us your room number. But you have to pay". Highlighted that such payment should be made known to me at least after i have provided my room number and to inform me that breakfast is chargeable, staff said "You booked the room, you should know." Overall staff are great, but the restaurant staff was deplorable. But overall a great hotel, if you can tolerate certain lapses. November 10, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great with a couple problems Positives: 1) Comfortable bed. 2) Good room amenities with free bottles of water and nice bathroom accessories. 3) Breakfast is good, although could use a bit more variety day to day, month to month. Negatives: 1) My shower did not get hot on my last day. 2) The West Tower 19th floor smells slightly of urine. I think it is due to an old air conditioning system with old freon. The East Tower has slightly smaller rooms, but I would recommend it over the West Tower- I would not stay in the west tower again due to the bad smell. September 8, 2014

I had dinner at China Spice, which has good service although the Sichuan food was not too authentic (which is understandable because the restaurant is Cantonese). I am not sure how I feel about the showers being upgraded to the pumps for shampoo and shower gel yet. I have seen other hotels of lower quality do this, but on the other hand this is a little more environmentally friendly. The tiny bottles also drive me a little crazy since they do not stand up, and they end up spilling everywhere during the shower. I still feel like the hotel should resume their pick up service from the Futian border. March 4, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location to border The hotel recently added a hourly shuttle bus service to the metro station which is also the border crossing to Hong Kong. Pretty nice touch Lounge closure over the National holidays, although you could still pick up sodas, cookies and coffees. My first stay as a plat at this property, upgraded to a nice suite by friendly staff at hotel. Service standards at this hotel is very high for a four points. Shower was seriously clogged, at the end of my shower I was like ankle deep in water. Hopefully this is an isolated incident, been at the hotel at least over 5 occasions over the past year, it is still a good property offering great value for money, my top choice in Shenzhen.
