After a over hour long wait for the supposed shuttle, the front desk manager was probably one of the rudest I have encountered yelling and telling me I was incorrect and that I had somehow missed the shuttle. No apology was offered. When I presented my boarding pass with the arrival time, he accused me of "making up the document" ...
If you value your time during a layover, stay somewhere else. Several of the guests I spoke with also mentioned that their shuttle wait time was over an hour.

No upgrade for platinum to best available room. No lounge. Very dark lobby. No welcome anything in room.
Only redeeming factor is their front liners and staffs. Very friendly, i like all of them. They make me feel happy.
Other than that, good choice for an overnight stay or 2 to catch a flight ONLY if using points as this property is low redemption value. If paying, there are 2 other starwood properties in YVR airport area that caters much, much better to platinum guests.

Front desk and bell staff were very professional, friendly and accommodating. In fact, I was very pleased with that experience from beginning to end. The room on the 6th floor SPG was a typical room, clean, comfortable.
Bonus of onsite restaurants but also many, many many restaurants nearby.
Parking is on site and is $10 a day. Did not think that parking should have a fee. Most airport hotels do not charge a fee for parking. That is my only negative comment.

Great place that caters to the Chinese clients' needs. They know the culture that loves hot instead of ice water! This is the first hotel ever that I didn't have to boil water thru the coffee pot, or order room service for a pot of hot water.
It is also located on a street with many great Chinese/ Hong Kong style restaurants. We enjoyed delicious meals from places right across the street. One is famous for its wonton soup, even back in Hong Kong, they have a branch.

I just stay in this hotel last week. I think is a little dated but if you asking me about location i think this hotel meet all my need. It close to everywhere we need to go. Restaurant and shop it just across the street. You can't ask for anything closer. I think the only thing is they don't have any wine opener in their room. You need to bring it down to lobby to open your wine. which i found it a little odd. Other than that the staff was nice and welcoming.

Smoky, dirty and the restaurant was closed for a party that was so loud I heard it on the 6th floor!
The smoking area is 20' from the front door and heavily used. The smoke travels right into the hotel and through the hotel windows.
There is a $10.00 charge for parking as a hotel guest in the hotel lot!
All in all, an awful experience and gigantic waste of money. I would have been more comfortable sleeping in my car at the airport.

The service was impeccable - I checked in close to midnight and the staff was wonderfully attentive, courteous, and efficient. Also, the hotel's proximity to the Sky Train and Asian restaurants make this one of my top favorites when staying in Vancouver.

If your purpose in a hotel stay is having a place to 'hang your hat' at night then 'Four Points' fits the bill. My only complaint was that the room only had three sets of towels and there were four of us staying in the room. After the first night we mentioned it to the cleaners and got four sets that day, but then the next day it was back to three sets again (you'd think they would have made a note for our entire stay).

Having to go thru Customs for an early morning flight, it was important to have an airport hotel with a shuttle. 4 Points has a shuttle 24 hours a day with courteous drivers. The breakfast was an excellent start to our days. The bonus is that they are surrounded by over 400 Asian restaurants (Chinese, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Korean, Thai, etc.) You could stay for a year and not try them all!!

I have stayed at this hotel on several occassions and have never been disappointed. The location works for me as my business interests are not downtown but in the suburbs. This location is in the heart of Richmond with numerous restaurant choices and a short walk to the skytrain to go downtown. Minutes from the airport makes coming and going very easy and accessible. Would make this a destination ever time I travel to Vancouver.

Great facility and mostly friendly staff. The night person (older asian male) was a bit of a gruff - never smiled even if you smiled at him. Housekeeping was great, very efficient. Best of all, the hotel is closeby to many of RIchmond's best restaurants-within a mile or less.

I stay that this property due to low redemption value awaiting for an early morning flight. They have really friendly staffs and that's very important to me.
Undergoing renovation right now so we will see how it goes when renovations are complete.
I also like it that they participate in the ''make a green choice" program

The hotel location is convenient to the Vancouver airport as well as walking distance to public transportation and many excellent Chinese restaurants and shops. The room rate was also very reasonable and includes WiFi at no extra charge as well as complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. The competence of the staff varies. Cleaning staff were good, and both Iris and Mandy were outstanding helping us get adjoining rooms for a large family get together (Iris initially by phone and Mandy in person at the front desk). Another individual at the front desk, however, seemed rather clueless and was rather rude and abrupt with us when he demonstrated inability to cope with the hotel computer system to assign rooms or correct a small error in one of our bills.
The rooms would benefit from some modernizing like more convenient electric outlets, and I understand the hotel will close for renovation from mid October 2013 to February 2014. So let's hope for the best!

The bit outdated furniture is being changed as the renovation is in progress but I had all I needed anyway and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was even able to check in early and got to clear my headache and later get the most out of my only day in beautiful Vancouver. The only strange event was a frantic male housekeeper that was so incredibly loud, you felt you were in his home...

I stayed at the hotel for 5 day and it was fantastic! All the staff were wonderful and the check in was very inviting which was nice. Each meal I had in the restaurant was perfect! The fitness center was also very clean and had great equipment. If you like staying with Four Points by Sheraton I would really recommend this hotel. For the money you pay you get wonderful service.

Very pleased with this hotel from check-in to check-out. Front desk was quick friendly, and helpful. Plenty of resturants in the area and sky train a 10min walk . we stayed here 2 days before a cruise and it worked out great. sky train takes you t a couple blks from cruise term. weekend rate for 2 was $5.50 about 25min trip. Will definately stay here again

Rated 3 out of 5 OK if you don't expect much but need to be near airport
The shuttle bus comes only twice an hour so if you miss it by a few minutes you will be waiting and waiting as other buses go around several times. No one was friendly at the hotel - efficient in checking in but no offer of taking our bags up to our room. Eat at the restaurant or go across the street to Chinese restaurants. Nothing else in walking distance.

4 Points has many standard features in each of its hotel, what seperates this hotel is the quality of service provided by the staff.
I stayed 3 nights over a 12 day period taking advantage of the proximity to the airport. The staff on each visit was exceptional.

Close proximity to the airport and services. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable with basic amenties consistent with this hotel level.Shopping and restaurants within walking. This area is primarily an Asian demographic so the food and beverage locations reflect the locality. I would recommend for convenient business travel.

this hotel is conveniently located in Richmond next to some great restaurants. Welcoming staff service many languages, Cantonese, Mandarin and of course English. This hotel is always my choice to put anyone passing through Vancouver for a night. so close the airport and very good value.

Our recent stay was fine it is a reasonable hotel for the price point but our only disapointment was being turned away from the dining room at 10:45 because breakfast was being wrapped up at 11:00 am. Very strange considering there was still a buffet breakfast laid out; why turn away a paying customer?

We came back from a long flight,of couse
we were tired.We took a nap and woke up around 1:00 AM.Not being able to sleep again,we decided to have some coffee and tea.It was very disppointing to find out that the coffee maker was not working.It was too late to call housekeeping.
Otherwise,everything ws fine.

Whenever my wife & I travel & need one or two days close to an airport my first choice is always a Four Points. Early checkin (my son checked in two hours early & late checkout.
I always have enough SPG points to cover the room.
Nothing fancy but always clean & comfortable.

Visitors of guests should be able to park in the parking lot free of charge for more than 15 minutes since the parking lot was not full at all. In our case, it was one hour and fifteen minutes for our friends who were keeping us company until the shuttle arrived to take us to the airport!

It is the best location to stay if you are visiting Richmond's many great Chinese restaurants and shops. It is actually across the street from the "Eating street" where there are lots of restaurants.

I have stayed here many times but this time the greet and reception was poor. I dont know what was wrong with the staff,no smiley welcome no attempt to upgrade no acknowledging i was spg,2nd floor next to the ice machine,come on we're supposed to be special,make an effort!

Excellent positioning for Vancouver Airport (less than 10 minutes) with excellent courtesy bus service. Hotel is quiet (no aircraft noise) and facilities excellent.
As a bonus its in the the heart of a Chinese district which provides a good choice for restaurants.
