The noise of the air conditioner was like an airplane landing in the room, the pillows were huge and lumpy and the bed sagging and lumpy. Tried to watch TV but there was such a buss in the sound system and the AC was so loud you could understand nothing.

This hotel was disappointing to say the least. We booked 6 nights and stayed one. Our room had a small window-filthy facing construction. Seemingly there are no king bed rooms facing pool. This hotel is across from the college and is on par with college housing. Front desk staff were nice but could not accommodate us with a better room. No frig. cheap linen on bed 2 towels. This seemed like a motel 6 to us.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RP26685 Average stay
I can definately hear the loud yelling and conversation every night from the Vue across the street where the majority of the ASU students reside. It can be annoying if I wasn't traveling by myself. I did not see any dresser/drawers for clothing in the room. The closet was too small even for a single traveler. The location was near freeway access points, which was a plus. The stay, overall, was just average.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Travel54 I do not like the new Four Points "boutique" style!
No second bath towel in room
Clock radio is for for engineers not normal people
Only one ice machine and elevator for large property
Bar and restaurant in foyer very noisy
Bathroom door provides no privacy or sound deflection and is on wheels and a pully contraptions like an old factory
ASU across street - it and and pool area very noisy.
I wasted my points at this hotel!
Should not be a Starwood property.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Duncan80 Worst experience in my SPG history
I have been an SPG customer for numerous years and this was the first time I did not feel like a valued customer. Used one night with points and paid for second. Staff had to be told upon arrival I had 2 night stay. While out on 2nd day I received call from hotel asking me if I was staying a 2 nd night! Returned late and keys were deactivated. No towels had been placed in room. Very inconvenient! No spa!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lind427 The Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating!
I arrived late due to weather conditions while flying. The staff was welcoming and even though I was exhausted, they made me feel comfortable. My dates of stay changed, but there wasn't any problem because the staff was understanding and expeditious in handling my requests. Overall, the front staff is the key to success and my present and past experience with Four Points Tempe has been a positive one!

Rated 2 out of 5 by didi12 Noise was a dorm like experience!
I understand that it was Spring training week and Spring Breakers, but the noise that can be heard through the walls and doors, was deafening. The first night I was awakened at 2:30 a.m. and called and the next 2 nights were quieter, but yelling and noise can be heard down the hallway and in the rooms. As a business traveler, that makes it impossible for me to consider as a choice for my next stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CAS2 This is a nice hotel
The amenities are acceptable. The pool area is very private and clean. The hotel seems to be a bit older as is evidenced by the carpet in most areas including the room. I did have some issues with the television in my room that took a few days to resolve. On the whole it was a nice place to stay. One other point, if you want ice, they only have ice machines in the main lobby or on the second floor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by colin26 Nice facility, terrible Internet access
The building is modern and very clean, the lobby is a fun place to hang out, the staff are helpful, and breakfast is average. The big problem I had was with Internet access. The WiFi system is very good, although behind the times with only 11 Mbps links. But what is really bad is the bandwidth to the Internet. Access is average to good during the day, but in the evening it bogs down completely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bananna great location to downtown Tempe and ASU
I wish the air conditioner was quieter.
The staff was great and I was so amazed at the breakfast buffet. I have been to buffets before but here every bit of food I tasted was perfect. You can't go wrong when they put out all levels of milk. The chef was the greatest. The whole staff was very nice.
The best is the 24 hr shuttle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ElizEnnem Some good, some not so...
The room was comfortable, but for the price, it would have been nice to have the amenities that other hotels have, such as microwave and mini-fridge. This is especially true considering the hotel's restaurant: the service was slow and and the food mediocre. The hotel is beautiful and we loved the pool area. The front desk staff were very accommodating, and the driver to the airport was great.

I was stunned that the hotel did not provide more shuttles to the start of the half marathon. The hotel was filled with runners, and it seemed that the hotel took no extra steps to accommodate the runners trying to get to the start of the race. I walked the 2 miles to the start of the race, because the shuttle van was unavailable. I will not stay at this hotel when I run the race next year!

I stayed at your hotel because it was close to my grandson's school as he stayed over night with me. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating. The bartender was great!! He engaged in conversation with my 11 year old grandson which was great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Football12 Nothing fancy; close to ASU
Positive: 1+ miles from ASU; clean room; helpful staff; friendly shuttle driver
Negative: No dresser drawers; Uncomfortable recliner; uncomfortable bed--noticeably lopsided on the side closest to the TV. (When I checked out, I suggested that the mattress be replaced or flipped prior to renting out the room again); No refrigerator; Average hotel that met my basic needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DarrinK Exceptioonal Staff
The staff at this hotel is exception. Kytt does a great job in the lounge. Jess adds a personal touch to breakfast with a call before bringing the meal up. the front desk is very accomodating. I travel a lot, but very seldom do i actually feel like hotel staffers go above and beyond. In this case the Sheraton has some excellent talented staff on your team. Well done!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jim9835 Nice hotel
Hotel was clean and by the pool, which was very nice. My only complaint is that our reservation said free bottled water. We were refused bottled water and given water from an urn. When we brought this to the clerk's attention, she told us bottled water would be in our room when they cleaned. We only received one, not nearly enough for 3 guests in the room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bill13 Construction site
I wish I knew about the construction that was going on! It was loud, it went all night which made it very hard to sleep. The staff were excellent and very nice. The room was dirty and dusty. The balcony was full of spiders and the light was hanging off the wall by the wires. The bathroom sliding door is loud and wakes people up at night when it is used.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Eva001 Great location adjacent to ASU
Internet strength was too weak to ever connect in our room on first floor furthest from lobby. Nice bar and free appetizers on Wednesday which was nice. Parking was difficult when outside groups are using conference rooms and additional people are using hotel facilities which presents some in convince to hotel patrons who are staying in hotel.

Stayed three nights and was very pleased with the accomodations and staff.
Josh greeted us upon arrival and could not have been nicer during our whole stay. When questioned about a restaurant we had already chosen, he immediately offered to print out a map. His first-class service was typical of our stay - thanks Josh !
We'll be back .

Rated 4 out of 5 by MiltB31 customer service to guests
The customer sevice to the guests is why i stay there. They listen and take the extra step to help your stay more pleasant. I stay in 190-200 hotels a year and most do not attempt to help you beyond the basic service.
I like the food there and the wait staff is very polite.
thanks a bunch

This is my third annual stay at this hotel for our annual sales mission. Staff always goes above and beyond to accomadate us, that is why we keep on coming back.
Perfect location, great lobby restaurant (only 4 star was due to the bar being closed). Sales staff was there to meet our bus, above and beyond what she needed to do.

One of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in. The air conditioner was so loud that we never got a good nights sleep. In the other room we had it smelled so bad that you never wanted to be in the room. Just a horrible experience.

This hotel was a pit! Filthy ! Family flew in late and upon their arrival were told they didn't have a room so had to sleep on the floor in my brothers room.Very nasty dirty carpets stained, stairways were litered with trash. Bathrooms looked like they were remodeled but doorhad a big gap in it so NO privacy. NEVER ever again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by stupidnicknamerequyired Not as good as other Four Points
Generally OK, but had the feel of being a remodel of an older motel... the room was ok but just.
They placed an authorization on my credit card ahead of time for any incidental purchases which seems inappropriate. Kind of assuming your customer is a thief... not a good way to win my repeat business.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gl123 Four Points Tempe
This is the fourth Four Points that I have stayed in. Of all four the staff at the front desk was most friendliest at this facility. However, the room confort and cleanliness would rank last. The bed felt old, the carpet was rising, and while clean it was not overly clean like most starwood hotels.

as a gold member, i am disappointed with this facility for 1. room wasn't cleaned: found beer cap and dirty sink; and 2. room is noisy. this hotel is located near ASU/downtown Tempe with a filmsy sliding door. Could not sleep at all and constantly woke up by drunk people on the street.

Rated 2 out of 5 by adrienneD932 Worst Customer Service
I am a business traveler and SPG member. Customer Service has always made my stay at hotels either wonderful or miserable. In this case I wouldn't say miserable but definitely frustrating.
Before arriving for check in, I called Four Points in Tempe,AZ to confirm that a refrigerator would be available for my room since I knew there was a limited amount and only available upon request. An employee named "Yetta" took down my name and said she would take care of that request for me. So I preceded to buy groceries for my 6 day stay there. I checked in and Yetta couldn't find my name in the reservations so I gave her my wife's name since my company usually puts both of our names on the reservations. She then finds the reservations but informed me there were wasn't anymore refrigerators available at the time. What frustrated me even more was that she wasn't even apologetic nor made eye contact. She asked for my ID so she could put my name on the reservations and quickly tried to move past incident. I informed her that I just bought groceries and now have no where to store them but she said nothing. I then turned to my coworkers, who received a refrigerator, and asked could I just store my groceries in their refrigerator. I then requested to Yetta when a refrigerator becomes available can she put me on the list to receive one. She said yes. Two days later as I'm speaking to my other coworkers (there was about 10 of us) he mentioned he received a refrigerator a day before! I thought how was this possible since I was the next one on the list? My coworker said he just called the front desk and they brought one right up. That made me even more frustrated. Four days into my stay I voiced my complaint to another front desk employee and she offered to send a refrigerator to my room right away. But by then it was too late since I would be checking out the next day. I asked her if she saw my request for a refrigerator in the records and she couldn't even find my name in the room reservations! I told her "Yetta" already asked for my ID and supposedly put my name in the reservations. She then made an excuse for "Yetta" and said, "well that's not like Yetta so maybe she just forgot to save your information by accident." She then offered me a $5 voucher and suggested I buy snacks in their market pantry for my trouble. I thought, "wow, is that their idea of great customer service?" I was completely inconvenienced and not given priority as a loyal rewards member.
Aside from this incident, my room was on the 2nd floor which reeked out cigarette smoke everyday. I'm not sure if this is a smoking hotel or not but the smell was only strong in the hallway and not the room so I was fine with it. The rooms were average.
I did like their "Go Green" program which I received $5 vouchers everyday for not using housekeeping services. The bartender (with an Irish accent) was very courteous! I ordered dinner and went to pick it up. It was missing the salad so he offered to bring it up to my room. He refused the tip I tried to give him.I thought that was very nice of him.
The breakfast was terrible. Pancakes and french toast was always hard and rubbery unless freshly prepared. Scrambled eggs weren't bad. The omelette I ordered was so greasy I couldn't even taste the ingredients. However, the chef was friendly. And the older waitress knew how to serve and always had hot green tea ready for me.
The 4th floor rooms were the nicest. The had new sheets, pillows, and comforters. Some balconies are bigger than others. They all face the pool.
Overall, if the customer service was more accommodating my rating would be 3 out 5 stars. I hope they retrain their employees and emphasize the importance of genuine customer service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rohitm Great location, good hotel
Full marks to the staff, very helpful and courteous. What you can improve on are the beds ( not very comfortable ) and definitely the bathrooms ...quiet frankly they look very bare and cheap. .. Once you get those right you guys will be a rocking 5 star rated hotel in my books.
