Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for a family stay The room and staff were at the usual excellent service and comfort levels. What I found the best of this property was the breakfast area. The quick-order chef is friendly and very talented. The pancakes and omelets he made for us were great. The overall buffet was excellent as was the wait staff. While the presentation was simple, the quality was equal to a flagship Sheraton hotel buffet. The great breakfast made a great start to our day. March 7, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by I didn't get a wink of sleep ! This is a pet friendly facility and the clientele is 98% young people which is fine. But the room across the hall had a dog with a shrill bark that barked until 2 am because the owner was out partying I guess. I made the second call to the desk at 1:30 am and asked why they didn't do anything about the dog the first time I called hours before. They said that they left a message and tried to call the person's cell phone to no avail. They should have just gone up and got the dog. If a place is going to be pet friendly they need to have a backup plan for people who don't follow the rules instead of other guests being kept awake and tortured by a constantly barking dog !! I love dogs...but not when I need a night's rest and don't get ANY ! At least they refunded my points since I went there to sleep and was tortured all night instead. March 4, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great location adjacent to ASU Internet strength was too weak to ever connect in our room on first floor furthest from lobby. Nice bar and free appetizers on Wednesday which was nice. Parking was difficult when outside groups are using conference rooms and additional people are using hotel facilities which presents some in convince to hotel patrons who are staying in hotel. Rated 2 out of 5 by Nice facility, terrible Internet access The building is modern and very clean, the lobby is a fun place to hang out, the staff are helpful, and breakfast is average. The big problem I had was with Internet access. The WiFi system is very good, although behind the times with only 11 Mbps links. But what is really bad is the bandwidth to the Internet. Access is average to good during the day, but in the evening it bogs down completely. February 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful staff Everyone went out of there way to be so helpful. From the manager at the front desk to the van drivers. Bert was so helpful to places we should see. I will always stay here when i visit tempe February 28, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very noisy room This had to be the worst room on the property. We were 2 rooms from the street intersection. We heard cars and people all night long. It was as if our window was open. I can't believe we were given that bad of a room and we are a platinum member. February 25, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This is a nice hotel The amenities are acceptable. The pool area is very private and clean. The hotel seems to be a bit older as is evidenced by the carpet in most areas including the room. I did have some issues with the television in my room that took a few days to resolve. On the whole it was a nice place to stay. One other point, if you want ice, they only have ice machines in the main lobby or on the second floor. February 24, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hotel was extremely below standards. 1) Air conditioning was not working right, tech A/C putting out volume for 49 degrees. Then he revised it. 2) No soap in shhower dispenser. 3) No hot water in the morning. My colleague also had no hot water. 4) EXTREMELY difficult to log on to interent. 5) Unprofessional staff-had female employee acknowledge wakeup call as "Hi Honey" 6) At carpet's edge by elevator allot of dirt. Would rate this hotel as D-. February 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as good as other Four Points Generally OK, but had the feel of being a remodel of an older motel... the room was ok but just. They placed an authorization on my credit card ahead of time for any incidental purchases which seems inappropriate. Kind of assuming your customer is a thief... not a good way to win my repeat business. February 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Modest hotel, across from ASU. Room was clean and adequate, long walk from lobby to other end of hotel where room was located. Had another door for enter and exit here as well. Construction going on next door starting B4 8AM no bother as I was on street side. February 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Room was not cleaned right away I went to ASU at 7:30am and when I got back at 3:00pm my room was still not cleaned. The cleaning people knocked at my door at 3:15 wanting to clean the room. I told them just give me towels. Also, they do not know how to make a simple drink at the bar. February 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by noisy hallway There is no sound insulation. you can hear any noise or conversation from the hallway even after 2 AM. We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and did not get any solid sleep. Very disappointing! February 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great stay We really enjoyed our stay. The pool and staff were great. We just wanted some time away from the cold up north, so we spent most of our time in the pool. The only weird thing we encountered was the sliding bathroom door that left a substantial opening so that my kids were uncomfortable using the shower or toilet. We had to block off the opening with towels. I don't understand why a hotel wouldn't have a fully closing and locking bathroom door. I've never stayed in a hotel that uses a sliding, non-locking door on all of their bathrooms. Certainly threw all of us for a loop and we had a couple of 'loops' moments walking in on each other because we didn't know anyone was in the bathroom. February 19, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel did not equal my other Starwood hotel stays First let me say that I will continue staying at Four Points due to it's proximity to my office in Tempe. I was disapointed on my 1st stay that this hotel did not equal other Starwood properties from a service, amenities, restaurant and lounge perpective. The food quality was below average. One night I order the grilled chicken with vegetables and could not cut the green beans with my knife they were so tough. The chicken was also tough to cut and was very chewy. I needed the shuttle service at 8am on a Friday to the airport and was told it did not run until 9am and that I would have to take a taxi. February 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great staff, average room I would like to have had a fridge and/or microwave oven in the room. Also, would've enjoyed complimentary breakfast. Even though the room was a bit old, it was clean, especially the bathroom. Staff was delightful. Internet was not available for for my portable devices. February 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what I expected.... From a SPG property. For the price I expected a more comfortable room. February 10, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointed as a gold member, i am disappointed with this facility for 1. room wasn't cleaned: found beer cap and dirty sink; and 2. room is noisy. this hotel is located near ASU/downtown Tempe with a filmsy sliding door. Could not sleep at all and constantly woke up by drunk people on the street. February 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location and cleanliness Great location for any activities at ASU. The room was very clean and comfortable. February 2, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by A Facility in Need of Rehab This was the most disappointing SPG property I've ever seen. The room looked clean enough, but the office chair had been broken (the arm-rests had been snapped off), the bathroom had stains on the wall and wall paper bubbling, and the slider had to be forced to close and lock. The fitness center was the worst I've seen. Neither of the two elliptical machines worked (sounded like they were going to through a rod just stepping on them), none of the mounted TVs worked on any of the aerobic workout machines, and no amenities were stocked (no hand towels for sweat, sani-wipes empty, etc.). Finally, the bar prices were astronomic, while service hours were minimal. A glass of house wine and a beer cost $13. I will never stay at this place again. February 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptioonal Staff The staff at this hotel is exception. Kytt does a great job in the lounge. Jess adds a personal touch to breakfast with a call before bringing the meal up. the front desk is very accomodating. I travel a lot, but very seldom do i actually feel like hotel staffers go above and beyond. In this case the Sheraton has some excellent talented staff on your team. Well done! January 31, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not up to Starwood standards Comfortable bed, adequate room, stained towels and litter / lack of cleanliness in the common areas. The staff was friendly and courteous, but more effort needs to be put into housekeeping. January 30, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Getting Dumpy My bed was sagging and in need of replacement. The reclining chair was broken, and dirty. The decorative pillows were soiled. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The carpet in the room was bubbling, and the wallpaper was peeling. The pool view room had no chairs. The coffee bar decaf coffee grinder was not working. I reported and the staff comped the room and promised to fix. I hope so. The location is great and I would like to return. January 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great convenience to Arizona State University Conveniently located across the street from Arizona State in Tempe. January 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Stay Everything was ready for me when I got there. Got checked in quickly January 22, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Convenient, but disapointing The location of hotel was convenient for the P.F. Chang's Rock n Roll Marathon. I called for in room dining, they were offering a marathon special. but i was told they had dropped they alfredo sauce so they were making this strange sounding "fill-in' pasta dish. The next morning I get up to have a cup of tea. They had put the hot water into a coffee thermos and so it tasted like coffee and tea mixed together. THEN I asked for oatmeal and they said they had run was 6:00am in the morning. I was the only one in the restaurant and had been there for 30 minutes. They seemed surprised to have customers, it was VERY disorganized. Most of the staff seemed surprised you were there. Like maybe it was there first day. It wasn't the worst place I have ever stayed, but pretty close...and I travel a lot January 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel is not reccommended This hotel has horrible beds. They were as hard as a rock. It was also extremely noisy at night. The bathroom doors in the rooms offer no privacy. The room itself was okay. The breakfast buffet was at least good. The shuttle drivers had no clue where they were going. January 21, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed I was stunned that the hotel did not provide more shuttles to the start of the half marathon. The hotel was filled with runners, and it seemed that the hotel took no extra steps to accommodate the runners trying to get to the start of the race. I walked the 2 miles to the start of the race, because the shuttle van was unavailable. I will not stay at this hotel when I run the race next year! January 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great service thank you to all of the staff, front desk was awesome, Faith and the other young lady were tremendously helpful and friendly, great team together, wait staff and bartender were very friendly and well trained, kitchen team let us chill our samples in the walk-in which was perfect for our appointment the next day. the location worked perfectly for my business trip, thanks to all, marty "the captain", Amazing Taste Foods, Malibu, CA. January 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel The hotel is rustic. The staff is very warm and friendly. Their food was top quality and the prices were truly reasonable. We found the rooms to be comfortable and spacious with a unique sliding door for the bathroom. January 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Slamming Doors My stay was great the only down fall was the other guests who would let the room door SLAM, SLAM the glass shower door or the full blown & loud converstations in the hallway. The Staff was great & very friendly. I would stay there again! January 16, 2013
