Rated 1 out of 5 by Rusty water and rusty service The pipes are rusted... I checked yelp, and it's been a problem for a very long time. I was given a room and the ground floor, when my platinum preference calls out highest floor. I ordered vegetarian food, it came with meat. This is by far the worst SPG property I've stayed at. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Value for the Price Paid As one of the cheapest SPG hotel in Houston area, I don't have much higher expectations of the hotel, clean, comfortable bed, no noise from other rooms, that's all I need for a stay. October 26, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good location, front desk staff needs work I stayed here for work in August 2015 to see if I wanted to stay there for an upcoming long assignment. The location is great. It's a 4 minute walk to the gym, restaurants, etc. My room was modest, but fine. My issue was with several interactions with the front desk. They weren't that warm, couldn't answer basic questions, and only looked at things from their perspective, versus the customer's. My room faced I-10 and was quite load at night. I had to turn on white noise on my phone to drown out the freeway noise. August 25, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Run-down hotel - please avoid I have stayed in 20+ spg properties and this is by far the worst. We had booked a double suite, which was not available when we arrived at 10pm. Instead we were shown to a king suite, which smelled terrible due to smoking. As we did not accept that, we were given another king suite where insects were running on the floor. A very impolite night guard brought bedsheets for the sofa bed and told us that in this hotel guests make their own beds!!! The suite - as well as the double suite we got the following day - were very unclean. It appears the bathrooms had never been steamcleaned, and electric switches, furniture and carpeting were in dire need of replacement. Staff were generally unfriendly, and on two mornings the restaurant staff tried to charge us extra on the breakfasts. This hotel does not deserve to be a part of spg. August 3, 2015

Rated 2 out of 5 by Clean; but Needs Updating This wasn't my first choice to stay here; but since it was close to where my relatives were, I thought this was best. First, the staff and employees are all very nice. It doesn't mention here that the hotel is surrounded by construction. The plumbing is being repaired and makes a loud noise. The hotel was very clean; but the furniture is old and needs replacement. When my daughter sat down on the living room sofa, it sunk down very low. There is cottage ceiling in the bathroom. There is NO place to eat or get beverages in the evening. The Bar closes early and the vending machine was not working. Thanks to the concierge she provided me with tea and water. A good plus is that it's in a great location, walking distance to the CityCentre. Hopefully, there are plans to upgrade the rooms. None of the windows vent open. April 20, 2015
