Rated 3 out of 5 by Doors slam on every floor Sorry. Receptionist had an attitude and was rude. Made me wait 2.5 hours to check in when all she had to do was ask if I wanted a double. Then I could have checked in immediately. I was kept awake by loud traffic outside, doors slamming in every room. This should not be happening. Poor animal policy. They wont clean your room if you have a pet. I even offered to take my pet out and they failed to show up and clean my room. October 3, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent experience, boring area. This was a perfectly decent hotel-- not the best Four Points in which I've stayed but not the worse, either. The rooms were small, but clean, and the staff was attentive. The beds were a bit on the uncomfortable side and we really didn't like the pillows-- they were either feather or synthetic down and, as such, were not very firm and didn't offer much support. They were the kind of pillows you have to roll up in order to get any neck support. The Tiki Bar was a nice touch and the highlight of the hotel experience. Located across the hotel's parking lot on the water, we sat in Adirondack chairs and listened to a very good reggae band while having drinks. The pool was nice but it was located right alongside busy Route 41, which means that it is far from tranquil with so many trucks and motorcycles buzzing by. As for Punta Gorda itself, I think the "revitalized" moniker is being applied a little bit too liberally here. It has a quaint little downtown that can be walked in about five minutes, but, other than that, there's not much to do in Punta Gorda. I'd say it still has a good amount of redevelopment to go before it can be described as "revitalized." Overall, I had a decent experience at the hotel and in town, but I wouldn't necessarily be in a rush to go back. August 8, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by The little things made this place less desirable The room was nice. They did give me a nice room with a view, which was not what I had paid for, since I was a prefered guest. That was a plus. However, for me its the little things that make my experience. Room service card times are incorrect, and there is no lunch room service, even though it says there is on the inroom card. Wifi was unusable it is so bad. I had 1 bar and if I was lucky 2. Nothing loads, so I used my data the entire trip. But I guess, its! Good thing. Next little detail, the toilet paper. Never seen a hotel use public bathroom type lowest of low quality toilet paper in my life. Another thing, the cleaners left a muddy shoe mark on my bathroom floor. Wasn't there when I left my room for the day. And last, they where inconsistent with restocking of the room. I had no tissues for 2 days, as well as no sugar for my coffee, and the early morning room service cards were never replaced, which was an inconvenience for me. But the room was nice over all. And the grounds were nice also. And the rooms quiet. Not sure I'd stay again though. I like room service too much and good wifi, I'd pay, just give me a decent connection please. July 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Property I never do reviews but felt this hotel deserved a review. Everything was great. My friend stayed here and said the property was great. I agree. I felt very comfortable. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our room was located right next to the elevator and we didn't hear anything. Staff was great and very helpful. I wish I got their names but the 2 gentlemen that worked Saturday night were great... July 11, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hotel, but be careful! Be cautious about extra fees that could be added on to your bill without your knowledge. July 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent location What a wonderful stay I had here. Next to the harbor, and a Tiki bar! The hotel is spotless with very comfortable rooms. I was treated to a wonderful concert the hotel sponsors once a month in the adjacent park. The food was great as well as the staff. June 26, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by nice location too bad staff needs improvement Good location. Nice views of the bridge and marina, but the staff is not personable at all, very cold, we had to ask twice for the green choice vouchers, also the restaurant run out of items early at night, we heard a waiter said, they weren't prepared, no bread!! No chocolate cake two days in a row, it should be remove from the menu btw. Servers didn't have sense of urgency, no refills. Also I was asked if we were celebrating anything, and we were, but not recognition of this nether. Too bad for a starwood hotel standards. June 14, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Convenient location, clean hotel This hotel is generally very clean, assuming it's guests don't make too much of a mess. The rooms are comfortable, but be advised that they apparently are transitioning to Comcast from direct tv, which is a good thing. However, some channels do not work and with NBA playoffs going on, it's not acceptable for the hotel to keep its guests ill informed. The channel also went out just before the end of one very close game, which makes you think about what is really going on. Hopefully the transition will be completed very soon, so there will not be continued disappointment. May 28, 2016
