Rated 5 out of 5 by The staff here is amazing!! We always love staying here and the staff makes us feel at home. They are so accommodating and friendly and we love that we can bring our dog with us. They even go out of their way welcoming him. most definitely a favorite stay!! May 13, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice style - Not what we expected for the price Decorated nicely. Not what we expected for the price. Have stayed in comparable hotels in the area and larger tubs, fridges included, for less money. Also, dinner was not as good as expected. Average... not exceptional stay. June 9, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by very cool rooms I have visited the Tiki bar at this hotel numerous times but have never stayed here before this week. The rooms are "nautical" themed, spacious and well thought out. It feels very upper class but with a regular guy price. Happy hour at the Tiki bar with music is not to be missed. We will be back! Rated 3 out of 5 by Fourth Time Wasn't a Charm Upon arrival I was not "welcomed" back, instead. I was given the keys to the wrong room, Went back downstairs with all my things and given new keys. Went upstairs to the room so beautifully described as "with balcony". While the room has a beautiful after view, it sits very close to the bridge and the balcony is useless. Can't even get a chair outside. So the ability to read overlooking the tranquility of the water is missing, I then called the front desk and asked for a less expensive room. Was told that wasn't available but for the same price they could move me off the SPG floor and put me in a room with a less than stellar view but I would have a microwave and refrigerator. This is my fourth time at the hotel. I've always had the view, the micro and the refrigerator. Then the Internet connection had to be reset each time I used my iPad. When a called guest services I was told it was because of the iPad. The location of this property and its courteous helpful staff used to be its draw. This time there were too many little disturbances to be able to describe it as an enjoyable stay. April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Conference We just had a conference at this hotel and it was fantastic. The staff was accomodating to everything that we needed. The banquet meal on Saturday was spectacular. They have the best cookies ever!!! June 27, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel is bright, fun and friendly! We were pleasantly surprised to find a boutique hotel in Punta Gorda! The room was bright and fun with "lots" of color. The staff is fun and friendly. Will definitely stay here again! January 28, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Could have been better While the room was clean, it was not in the best condition. Wall brackets in the bathroom were loose, night light did not work, refrigerator did not work properly, etc. March 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing rooms, great staff Loved the room, immaculately clean, well laid out and fresh/new bedding and furniture. Great staff very attentive and the food in the restaurant was very good. January 10, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dogs running wild Dog in room across the hall on 5th floor. I was told I would have a room far away from pets due to the fact that I requested such due to my allergies of dogs January 3, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Average Joe This is the most average hotel. Not good or bad just par for the course. The town of Punta Gorda offers nothing. Unfortunate stop. July 4, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good hotel but very noisy Clean, functional room but very noisy, both from outside freeway and next door neighbors. Got little sleep. December 19, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Prior stays were good Prior stays were great roomy rooms and other features. We could not even pass each other in the room. December 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best hotel in Punta Gorda!!! As a guest at this hotel on five different travel visits, it has always been a pleasure to hang our hat! Very clean, pleasurable employees, food reasonably priced with above average quality ingredients. Thumbs up for a great establishment! May 18, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT HOTEL!!! Fantastic rooms and service. June 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Physically beautiful hotel, wtih average customer service This hotel is very well maintained in a stunning harbor setting. The free amenities; such as, bottled water, newspapers, coffee and tea in the lobby, internet access and computers are great. One night the kitchen even offered samples of their food in the lobby. The décor is attractive, tasteful and appropriately nautical. However, customer service barely meets expectations. Every hotel employee was polite, but not one took any special interest. Front desk personnel made minimal eye contact, never asked if there was anything they could do for me or how I was. In fact, no employee ever said, "Hello. How are you?" once. When I left, not one employee said good bye and to come back again soon. The day before I checked out, I asked if I could extend departure time by one hour, the front desk agent efficiently explained that that would not be possible due to occupancy. I completely understood, but, she barely looked up from her computer, did not smile, made it clear that she had a job to do and I was a potential obstacle. I observed this same polite, but impersonal style between hotel staff and other guests, as well. There was no attempt made to form a personal connection with guests. The personal connection is a contributing factor in engendering loyalty to your brand. July 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by brought my dog Brought my dog along with me for a work conference. The pet fee is a one time $25 charge. Usually I stick to the stairwells and back entrances of hotels when I bring him, but the way the hotel is set up I had to go through the lobby. The staff was always friendly to me and my dog as we passed through, though. Great places around the hotel to walk him. Ran with him along the water. May 13, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Staff needs improvement. The setting and building are beautiful. However, when you deal with the staff on the phone it is a different story. I reserved 7 rooms in my name then was told to have people call in to put the rooms over in their own name. It was such a fiasco. Your staff could not find any rooms in my name. The only way was to give ALL the confirmation numbers that were emailed to me to each person. The staff did not ask how to spell my name was the problem and didn't even try much. I am not impressed by the breakfast staf either. Negative attitudes. They are not very service oriented. I came from a company that if we treated any customers without a smile....we were written up. There is plenty of competition out there that have quality staff. I suggest for the management to spot check throughout the entire weekend to see how the staff works. Another suggestion, other hotels offer a free breakfast to guests. Maybe, offer something. The room was very nice. It was nice and clean as well. But, if you don't have good staff in the other contact cleanliness doesn't matter. I won't recommend your hotel. Oh, and the other aggravation. I was crunched for time and when I tried my key, it didn't work. So, there should be some way for you check to make sure the key works before the customer goes all the way to the fifth floor to try. Rated 5 out of 5 by Two thumbs up Just got back from a last minute trip to florida, we were very pleased with the hotel and especially the staff. On the first night there was a problem with our AC and the staff was quick to do everything they could to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. A special shout out to the manager Adam, he could not have been more accommodating. The location is gorgeous, the rooms clean comfortable and snazzy with a cool boating theme. We hope to return soon. Our only slight critique is the music in the lobby could be improved upon. We are thinking more like a classic jazz (Ella Fitzgerald, Cole porter) to suit your style and your guests. Just a thought.... Bravo from two seasoned world travelers. March 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by First Impressions Our first impression was feeling that we had been misled by the different internet room descriptions. Our room faced the marina....if you overlooked 3 busy lanes of Rt 41 right outside the window. The hotel was perpendicular to the river so not much a view there either. But the windows stopped the road sound and that was good. Loved the decor in the bed-rooms. Clean and sparkling. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor modern with a Sailing slant. Interesting humid elevators and ice cold public areas. The hotel was well placed for walking the quaint downtown. Too bad it didn't have a restaurant overlooking the river area. July 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff I really wish I had checked the name tag of the young woman who checked us in so I could name her. She was simply delightful. Extremely professional and seemed to "really" beleive in the positive things she was saying about the hotel. Patti in the restaurant at breakfast time exudes a warmth that I so much appreciated. As a platinum traveler, I spend many, many nights in hotels and this type of interaction with the staff makes an often lonely business trip so much better. As a woman who travels alone, I feel more safe staying in a hotel where the employees really care about the guests. I say...give them a raise so they stay! :) December 19, 2012
