Rated 5 out of 5 by Aisling6 We keep coming back!
We first came to Punta Gorda years ago on a whim, needing a close but "away from home" mini vacation. Being part of Starwood Preferred Guest, I looked up hotels in the program and found this one. LOVE IT! Now it's on our at least every other year vacation series. We feel like we're in a home away from home here. Great staff, fun things to do, comfy rooms and easy going atmosphere. SO convenient to everything in historical Punta Gorda. Love the sandy tiki bar and the views are unbeatable. Whenever we leave, we can't wait to get back.

I felt like home away from home. The staff was remarkably kind. The room was nice and cold when we got there. Getting onto the internet was easy there were no hidden codes and numbers to connect. Even the lemon lime water at front lobby was good, everything was welcoming, just like home!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Me5000 Hotel and location are excellent
We chose this hotel in Punta Gorda even though we were visiting family in Port Charlotte. This is our second time and we will be back. In addition to being a lovely hotel the location is by the water and within walking distance to restaurants and shops in town.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Terry1 consistency in excellence
I have stayed at this hotel several times and the service , cleanliness, is consistently excellent! Your staff is great. Thanks to Brittany, the waitress that makes eating alone bearable, the chef , Mike , who makes the best meals, and the front desk people, especially Chris and Lori, who make me feel like I'm at home , even when I'm not! Thanks for all you do.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 23be Wonderful place, except overdone room freshener
Everything at this property is immaculate, friendly, beautiful BUT the smell of air fresheners ,especially in common areas & elevators is to the point of toxic! How can this be called clean air? The beautiful outside air that would naturally come in thru doors opening on a clean harbor & from flowers would be clean & satisfying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TIKLES32 Love the place, not the mattress (this time)
Being the only one I choose when traveling to Punta Gorda for business meetings I absolutely reccomend this hotel. This was the third time I stayed here and the only time I was assigned a room with a "Harbor View" ( which was beautiful but the noise from the early morning traffic on Tamiami Trail woke me up several times) the room was also on the 5th floor which had a sign stating it was the "SPG Floor" which was cool . The ONLY negatives I took from this visit were the noise issues from the "harbor side" and I was dissapointed by the mattress, It was as hard as a rock. Which was strange because others times it's been great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jimw Highly Recommend
My wife and I, along with three relatives, planned our winter vacation around flying into Fort Myers and staying at the Four Points by Sheraton Punta Gorda for the week. From our arrival and greeting by Chris, followed by Lorrie, Joy and Archie, the staff could not have been more friendly or professional, always taking the time to ask how we were or if they could assist us in any way. Our three rooms were clean and comfortable (and kept that way by Maribel) with great views. The outdoor Tikki bar, with it's picturesque setting, was a great place to wrap up the day. And for this hotel's size, having a restaurant with a bar, and outdoor pool was an unexpected bonus. The location was convenient to our activities in both Fort Myers and Sarasota. We all agreed we would highly recommend this hotel and make it a part of our plans on our next visit to the area.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Birdez Huge Parking Problem, Overbooked RM type
First two nights, had to park on the grass. Nowhere near enough parking spots for Hotel guests (especially when the outside tiki bar is open) 1 star hotels have better parking. The few spots in front of the hotel should be reserved for people checking in or out and at least 2 should be assigned for Handicapped parking. Noticed that the same cars where there 85% of the time. (I saw no handicapped stickers on those cars)
Even though I was an Sheraton Preferred Guest member (for the last 30 years). The type of room that my wife and I had reserved (2 queens) was overbooked and we were put into a handicapped room, with only a shower, no bath and 1 King size bed. The person who checked us in was not sympathetic to the problem of the overbooking of our room type. Both my wife and I had been on planes all day and wanted to relax and take baths.
Being a SPG member I asked if there was any chance of an upgrade, instead the room of the size itself was a downgrade since the room was smaller then the room we had paid for (we paid for the extra square footage).
The only good point was that the servers in the restaurant bent over backwards to help us.
