I have stayed at well over 100 Starwood's properties while I worked in the U.S. for eight years, and this was probably the most uncomfortable night my wife and I have had The plumbing was noisy all night and then when we went for a shower the water was cold or warm but could not get it hot. As a result we did not go to breakfast as planned but drove straight home to shower

Rated 1 out of 5 by SPGGuest007 Terrible Customer Service
"Customer Service" needs an overhaul at this hotel. The front desk manager on the night of January 24th 2014 was rude and should not be in the customer service industry.
I was provided a standard room in the B building (the older building) with a room that smelled of smoke and mold. When I asked to change to a standard room in the new wing - C Building, I was told there was no availability and if I was so dissatisfied with the room, I could check in at a different hotel since there was no other rooms left - mind you, this was close to midnight after a long drive into Niagara Falls.
After several minutes of back/forth discussion, the front desk manager provided me with a room in the C building and said "fine, you win" as if I actually "won" something as if this was some sort of a game. Point being, there was always a standard room in the new section and he just refused to allow me to switch rooms and even threatened to cancel my reservation and suggested I switch hotels! Unacceptable!

We were disappointed that one of the rooms we had reserved was not ready by 4:30 when we checked in. We were offered another room on a different floor but we wanted to have a room close to the friends we were traveling with. Also, the hot tub jets were not working but we decided to sit in the "warm" water anyway and were grossed out when a big clump of hair float by...that ended the time in the "warm" tub. Also we we did not use the coupon to the Ruth Chris' Steakhouse because the prices were outrageous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wills More than pleasantly surprised!!
We stayed in the 1990's in the Middle East and the States in the old style Sheratons, which were certainly not bad as hotels, but really too pricey for its class. Since our retirement, we go out every other month and stay in good hotels, never really selecting the Sheraton chain. This Four Points by Sheraton in Niagara falls Ontario was a try-out. What an improvement!! And my wife and I, we were both very pleased with the hotel, the staff and the room. Did it ever improve. Now the hotel is certainly fitting its class. We now strongly recommend this to all our friends. We will include the Four Points and the Sheraton in our future travels.

My husband & I stayed at the Four Points for our Anniversary in a King Jacuzzi Room. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only issues we had was that there was no mini fridge in the room and the shower door had a huge gap so when you showered the water went all over the bathroom floor.
The hotel itself was so convenient and we could get to several restaurants & the casino without going outside in the snow.
It was very disappointing that the hotel charges $25 to park on site. We just parked at the casino for free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Melly28 Great stay
Stayed at this hotel because there was a great deal offered on Groupon for it. We stayed in a city view king room. The room was spacious and absolutely spotless. The bed and pillows were comfier than my own at home! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. (I also work in guest services at a hotel in Burlington, so going to other hotels and seeing other people do a great job is inspiring.) Perfect location as well. Had vouchers for East Side Mario's, iHop, Outback Steakhouse, and Dave & Busters arcade/restaurant/bar. There were a few more we didn't even get to use! We were offered more than enough and had a great stay. Would definitely stay again!

Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The staff did their job, the room was nice and clean, the Jacuzzi in the room is a nice touch. The hotel met our expectations for the one night my husband and I spent there and the price was just right for what we got.

Occasion: "girls" night out.
The location of this hotel is very convenience and the staffs were great. Outside was very cold due to the second polar vortex. We do not need to step out in the cold to go to Fallsview casino, as well as to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Butch52 Terrible management staff
We paid extra for a Falls view and all we could see is the river. Sheraton agreed to move us the next day so we packed our bags and put them in storage for the day. When we returned that day we were told there are NO Falls view available until we spoke to the manager (after it had already be arranged the previous day by the night manager. We did not get reimbursed for the Falls view we paid for. I do not recommend staying here.

All room service staff were great, the service was friendly and fast...
All in all,I was frustrated due to the cleanliness,I find it hard to beleieve that housekeeping could NOT notice the caroets and do something about it..BEFIRE the next guest is checked into these rooms...TOURISM PEAK SEASON OR NOT!!! BUY A STEAM CLEANER AND USE IT!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by NotHappyWithWestinOhare An Average Hotel
I am platinum guest at the SPG facilities, so by that expect Platinum treatment. Upon check in at 3:15 PM, I was told I had to wait longer because the room is not ready, the receptionist changed her mind though in about 15 seconds, not a good way to start at least.
The property charges 20 dollars for parking, vs 5 dollars at the Casino right across, so other guests if you want to save 15 dollars park right across from the hotel.
As the platinum guest I choose the breakfast as my welcome gift. The breakfast is at IHOP and you have the OPTION to select Eggs :). Well expect an IHOP treatment not a SPG Platinum Guest treatment .Rooms were ok, I got upgraded to a Suite with my Suite award, which had a 20 inch TV, whats so Suit about it. Overall to me this looks like a below average hotel and would not recommend for other guests, take your money somewhere else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mar50 The hotel was excellent
Very nice, more than I expected. The hotel had every convenience.
The worst part of my stay was the noise level at night. I only slept 3 hours . At about 12:30 -1:00 am there were teenagers yelling in the hall. At 12:45 my neighbor in 1702 was yelling to her partner about ice from the hallway. I asked her to keep it down. At about 2:00 my whole family experienced the acoustics for a very long noisy session compete with banging, moaning and groaning. This lasted for about 3 hours. Somebody had to be faking. I spoke to the women at the front desk in the morning. She found it amusing . She asked why I did not call. I should have but I was embarrassed

We enjoyed our 3 night stay, we had a regular room, incredibly large, very clean and nicely decorated, very comfortable beds...great view of Niagara Falls! We would definitely go back! Hotel is conveniently located right across the Niagara Fallsview Casino & Resort. All the restaurants and attractions are minutes away from your room, great place to stay with your family!

most everything went very will but i have to say my wife and I were a little put out before booking our stay we called and asked about the ruth chris's steakhouse restaurant we were told that we would be able to compare the prices to that of the Keg when we got there we found out that this was in no way close. I feel that whom ever we talked too misled us on this and i have to say that we got the travel zoo package because of what we were told.

Amazing! Although we had only stayed one night, this hotel met and exceeded our expectations. I have personally stayed in similar or "known-as" better hotels and this one was one of the top of the list for my favorites after my stay. Definitely a recommendation to anyone and a for sure for my next stay in niagara!

Our check-in was very quick even though it was very busy. Our room was on the 7th floor. Not a good view of the falls but not everyone can get one. Didn't request it so no biggie. Found there was a lot of walking to do. Our room was very comfortable as was the bed. Our heater was somewhat loud so we turned it off at night to sleep.

Check in process took over 55 minutes. When we were the next guest to be checked in all the clerks were missing for almost 5 minutes. I asked the lady who was checking us in is it always busy and she replies yes when all customers decide to come in late for check-in. Check in time is after 4pm and we were there at 5pm. The room was not vacuumed properly it had particles on the carpet. We went for dinner down stairs at 7.30pm and they were still over 20 guests at the check-in counter. Tried to take a shower and the hot water become cold in 2 minutes (around 11pm). I called front desk and they said they will send a maintenance person. After 15 minutes hot water was back though no maintenance staff. Called front desk and informed them to cancel the request hot water is back

I'm loyal to SPG hotels because of the benefits and overall service level for frequent customers. This hotel does not seem to offer the same benefits - usually no upgrades offered, although a requirement if available. Hard to believe the hotel is full mid-week and off season.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NIagaraWeekend2013 Great Location, Lousy Sleep
We booked an evening getaway for March 9, 2013. When we checked in the staff was very friendly and welcomed us with open arms.
The room was as described. The only downfall to this hotel was the constant noise of the room doors opening and closing. We were located right beside the stairs and in between rooms of rowdy occupants.
Throughout the night (and even into the early morning) the doors would not stop slamming. At first I blamed the occupants of the rooms, though after thinking about it, it appears as though the problem was with the soundproofing of the rooms and the fact that there was no way to stop the doors from slamming as loud as they did.
Needless to say, we both had a terrible sleep as we were constantly awaken by slamming doors. We didn't contact the front desk because the doors were ultimately out of the control of the occupants of the room. As I previously mentioned, I even tried closing the door gently, but to no avail.
At this time I would not recommend this hotel, simply due to the noise factor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tmak First time in a long time i was disappointed.
I always stay at SPG hotels as i have learned that they always aim to please and am always well taken care of. This time i was disappointed as i specifically chose a room with a king bed AND a double sofa bed. i was staying with a work colleague and had to share a room and they were out of rooms with two beds, so this was the next best option. However, once i checked in and arrived to my room there was no sofa bed. I called guest services and they said that not all rooms had sofa beds, i indicated that my confirmation as well as the room i paid for was to have a sofa bed and she told me that they are first come first serve. As i had already used my points to purchase the room, i had no option and guest services was not accommodating at all, they sent up a "roll away" bed which was very uncomfortable and tiny. As i mentioned in my title i have always been more than happy with the quality and service of SPG hotels, however, if you don't actually get a choice of room don't let us pick them on the website.

"Free Wifi" should not be advertised when there is in fact, no wifi. Complained that the connection kept dropping and they lent me a "booster" which had no affect.
No toilet paper!
Furniture dusty. One "free" bottle of water in a room that sleeps four.
