Rated 3 out of 5 by RT1967 English Proficiency
It would help very much if the English proficiency of the staff is improved.
Ordering room service is really like climbing Everest with out Oxygen. Particularly so many foreigners are staying in the hotel for business.
Having said that I have to stress the fact that the staff is extremely courteous and helpful.
One suggestion would be to improve the international choices in the restaurant menu.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ninja88 This hotel interior needs remodeling
In this particular hotel, the shower room water pipe was stuck (check room 727 shower room) and the bathroom was flooded when I took a shower. I spent 30 minutes to clean up and dried out the bathroom.
Breakfast was not much selection and coffee tasteless.
Overall hotel interior decoration is kind of old and this should be remodeling. This Four Points was very different than previous Four Points where I stayed in Guangzhou.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Chris70 Nice room - need to upgrade internet
I've never been to Yangzhou China before. So, I was skeptical that the Four Points was going to be this nice. It turns out that the hotel is quite new and the room upgrade I was given was one of the best hotel rooms I've stayed in in some time. I liked the in wall speaker system and separate living chambers as well as the closet and bathroom. The bed was really comfortable. In short, really pretty nice. That being said, you have some work to do before it becomes a much better hotel than other hotels. The Internet connectivity was terrible. I was lucky to get email. I could not talk to my wife using the normal wifi methods I typically do to save money because the wifi router and internet sucked. The 2nd night was better. But still pretty bad and frustrating. The breakfast was just ok and could use some better quality foods and choices. It was adequate. Actually, what upset me most was the pool policy. There's NO reason for it because the entire pool is 5ft deep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kemist Excellent Stay, Glad there's SPG in Yangzhou!
We stay in Yangzhou probably 3 times a year for business. Usually we stay at well kept Chinese local hotels.
Since SPG finally has a property there, of course being an SPG member we're staying at the Four points. I'm a platinum SPG and got upgraded to a suite which was great.
Hotel is brand new, rooms are clean large and really nice. Hotel restaurant (american) was decent considering it's a more remote city we had lunch here one day and had a burger. recommend sticking with the asian food but the american food is not horrible; just average. Buffet breakfast was really good in terms of quality and selection. Usually in China in nicer hotels the buffets are stocked with both western and asian breakfast items with eggs made to order. The staff are all very kind, warm and helpful. They also have a Chinese restaurant as well.
One of the ladies working at the american restaurant went out of her way to make a an ice coffee for my colleague with double espresso shots which was not how it's usually made. It was just nice of her and it was excellent!
Didn't use the gym but assume it is also really nice as the hotel is new and quite nice. Expect a much nicer four points than in the US!
Internet was very slow but it's just standard in more remote China cities. So be prepared.
It is centrally located in the city.
Definitely going to stay here every time we are here going forward!
