Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Staff I booked this hotel for 3 nights for my parents. I received an upgrade to a suit by the front desk representative. The hotel was much bigger than what I thought. Though the room was a little out dated, but still comfortable. December 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by shocked We had a room with two double beds. The one my husband and I slept on was clearly severly worn/broken. You could not tell just to look at it, but as soon as you sat or tried laying down the enter bed caved to the center. This was the most miserable night of my life. If my children had not already gone to sleep in the other bed, I would have asked to be moved to a different room as the hotel had very few guests on this particular night. I stopped by the front desk to address the bed issue with the young lady on duty. She simply said "I'm sorry" and went back to doing her other duties. Wow, one bad experience is understandable. However, the lack of concern expressed by this employee was unbelievable! Unfortunate, as I am generally a very understanding person and everything else about the hotel was very satisfying. I don't think I will book here again. March 17, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst hotel in the area! Do not stay here. I encountered roaches in my shower and the bathroom. I spoke to the front desk who offered only a free breakfast. They refused to move my room since they were booked. The children were also running all through the hotel and making a racket.So I packed my stuff and went to another hotel in the area. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Conference Site I attended a conference at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. I expected an older, dated hotel with some issues but found a very clean, well run establishment. We were upgraded to a guest suite at our arrival, which was indeed a bonus. The room was very clean and pleasant and had no issues. The staff was extremely friendly, capable & efficient. We opted not to eat with the conference attendees so I can't rate the hotel food. There is, however, a bar/grille on premise that has very good food at very reasonable prices. There is also an Applebee's right next door. June 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A comfortable stay at a reasonable price We enjoyed our stay at the Four Points, with its convenient location in West Lafayette. The beds were comfortable and the room was easily temperature controlled. We appreciated the exterior entrance near the room and didn't have to walk through the vast space. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and received good service and average food. Room service was pricey for what we received but we we got it quickly. The hotel was nearly empty during our stay and my only complaint would be that I'd like to see more specials and lower rates during these off-peak times. July 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good hotel with proximity to university campus This was my second time staying at this hotel as I come to a yearly professional conference at the nearby university. The staff is polite and responsive. The room was little cold and it was difficult to adjust the temperature, so I finally turned off the thermostat for the remainder of my stay. Although I had a speedy check-in, my room key was not activated properly so I had to come back down to have it fixed, which was little inconvenient. However, the overall visit was pleasant and I will most likely stay at this hotel next year. April 26, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by In room air conditioner has issues, great breakfast I've never had a room that included ear plugs. I thought, "How nice!". I'm a great sleeper, so didn't think I'd need them. Until, of course, the AC kicked in. Basically it sounded like someone would hit it with a baseball bat to get it running, and then it ran pretty loudly. Ahhh, hence the ear plugs. They did help, but man, just as you're drifting off to sleep, enduring the whole baseball bat routine is not conducive to peaceful slumber. Fortunately, after a harried night, the omelet station rocked. July 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Okay stay Have stayed multiple times in the past. Is usually average, not spectacular. Decent room. What typically brings us here is the suites with the pullout sofa and the separate areas. We are a family of 5 (2ad, 2kid, 1inf). We keep the baby with us and the 2kiddos get the pullout. Works well usually. This time, I reserved a King + double sofa bed. On arrival we were given the "Hospitality Suite" which sounds nice until I reached the room and instead of the double sofabed pullout, there was an 8-person conference table. Not going to work. So, back to the front and the only available room was a double. For my family of 5. And it was the tiniest room in the hotel. There was a sink outside the bathroom with one of those openings in the wall that looked out into the room b/c otherwise your claustrophobia would have doubled. August 6, 2014
