Rated 2 out of 5 by not a great place I'm sure there are better around at the same or lower price. First SPG hotel I didn't like. December 3, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good location, but construction is frustrating Good location and friendly staff, but the construction around the property can be frustrating. Internet is horrifically slow. Rooms are clean and comfortable. November 20, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location to the Space Needle Hotel is good and the staff is excellent. Make sure that you do not get a room facing Mercer St., it is loud. November 4, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Road Noise takes away from the comfort This hotel is only a few miles outside downtown, and walking distance to the space needle. The rooms are relatively spacious however a good number of them suffer due to the proximity to the road and its noise. The bathrooms have those terrible gym style soap dispensers, but the staff is attentive and the food is on par with expectations. October 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Starwood Service and Recognition This is my first Starwood review, but I need to write this. I've stayed around the country at MANY Starwood hotels, for both business and pleasure, usually at Westin hotels. This time was for pleasure, traveling with family and children. We chose Four Points by Sheraton because of its location. It is in the hub of GREAT restaurants and coffee houses. (Caffe Vita especially). We walked to the Space Needle, and to Pikes Place. Walked to all local restaurants. Never had to take the car! The hotel met all of our location expectations. It also exceeded our comfort exception, which I was wary of after reading other reviews on this site. It was clean, comfortable, quiet. The BEST part of our visit, however, was the recognition of our Starwood Gold status. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating to finding us a room for early check-in at 11:30. She was very gracious and customer service-oriented. We had driving a long time that morning so the room availability was truly appreciated. Then, without our requesting it, she offered to upgrade our second room to a suite. This was the perfect topping to a great weekend in Seattle. Traveling with young children and a baby...the suite was more than we could have hoped for. The staff was obviously aware of our needs and upon seeing availability in their inventory, went out of their way to make us a VERY SATISFIED customer. It only got better. We went to the bar to enjoy our free drink coupons, and the bar staff was by far the best we have come across -- even compared to our stays at higher end hotels like Westin. They went out of their way to make us comfortable, to check in on us, to recommend the best drinks and best appetizers. I wish I wrote their names down, but they were 2 young ladies working Saturday, 5 or 6pm, Aug 29. So, thank you Four Points, for your exceptional service! You went above and beyond our expectations. We will certainly be back. August 31, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst room I ever had The room (#207) had little day light as there was a wall close to the window. Early in the morning as well as late in the evening there was a lot of noise form the lobby and/or restaurant. Whenever the restaurant was preparing a fried meal I could smell it in my hotel room. Rated 1 out of 5 by Not a business hotel I've never reviewed a hotel before, but felt the need to warn business travelers. I was in Seattle for one night and all Starwood hotels were sold out except for the Four Points. Now I'm only looking for a room and a bed, so as a loyal Starwood member this hotel will do just fine.. so I thought. Landed early and got to the hotel at 10am. I asked if any rooms were open and they said check-in is 3pm. Ok, but maybe a room was ready for this guest with status? The answer was no, 3pm check-in is their policy. Ok. Well could you call me if something opens up? Again, 3pm and no early check-in. I explained that as a lifetime gold member I have never come across a Starwood hotel with such ridged rules. I understand if nothing is available right now, but if something opens maybe give me a ring? Unfortunately this conversation was futile, as other guests kept checking-out. Since I had a meeting at 2pm and could not hope to get in this hotel before then, I had to head to a 24hr Fitness and get a guest membership to shower. After the gym I came back to the hotel around noon to put clothes back in my bag and saw someone checking in and getting a key! So I went up to the new person behind the desk and would you believe.. I got a room before 3pm! After getting the room I brought up what transpired earlier and she repeated the same policy, which was 3pm and no early check-in. She did not see the irony in that statement and I would of continued, but was worried she might take my room key back! The biggest shame is the hotel and room was quite nice, seemed to have been recently updated. As business travelers we stay loyal to a brand for the perks, but mostly the extra level of service. Many times we're checking in early or checking out late, that flexibility is worth it's weight in gold. July 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good - but need my receipt the hotel stay itself was fine - i stayed between 4/16 and 4/18, and I never got a receipt of my stay. I called once a couple of weeks later asking to get an email with the receipt, and it's been almost a month since my stay with no email. PLEASE send me an email with my statement for that 2 night stay ASAP. email is thanks, Om May 14, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by The front desk clerks are very unhelpful and they cheat you and change your reservations for their own wishes. I have stayed at this location many times in the past for it's convenience to the SPU campus and the downtown center. However this stay has changed my mind and I will not return. It is a clean and newer hotel, but still has many problems such as water leaks in the ceilings of the halls and primarily problems with the staff. The lack of communication with the reservation phone line and the front desk is abominable! Both try to shift blame to the other and neither are interested in helping resolve the problem or making the customer happy. They actually told me that "they did not care if I returned, there was nothing they could do to please me." Their lack of interest in securing me as a returning customer disappoints me greatly and concerns me for future customers. April 4, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by no responsiveness - no status recognition - no customer focus I am a Platinum Member since 7 years and I asked the hotel Concierge Supervisor to help me with a booking emergency, help via phone was refused and no flexibility was shown to solve my problem. When I have reached the hotel the person I was meant to speak to was impossible to contact and problem not solved. I wrote an email to the Hotel Director to complain about the lack of assistance and bad customer service, she read it (I have proof) and never got a reply!! No responsiveness, no status recognition and no customer focus!! Never seen something like that in a Starwood hotel! April 2, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great value, but a rare lapse in service I am a platinum member, approximately 50 stays in Seattle the last few years at Four Points, Sheraton and Westin and Bellevue Westin. First the good: * Easily the best value of the three Starwood hotels near or in downtown Seattle * Excellent quality for the Four Points brand * convenient self parking available, usually included in rate * Very friendly staff The unfortunate: * I would have easily rated this hotel a four star overall, or a five taking into account the value except for the following * Lapse in service: Just this last stay is an example. The irony is that they upgraded me to a suite, which I appreciated. There was a modest problem with the shower, and I didn't have time before my meeting to let them fix it (i.e. re-dress, call down, wait for maintenance, time to fix, etc). So I just made do and let the front desk know on my way out the door. The clerk suggested I allow the manager to offer something for the inconvenience since she did not have authority for much. Excellent suggestion. I didn't hear anything for several days and called. Another front desk rep said the manager was not on duty (it was regular business hours), and took my contact info. Still no response or follow up of any kind. Very disappointing. * Noise: if you are a light sleeper, be aware the property is right by a major road and local construction. Ask for a room on the quiet side of the building if you are sensitive to noise and sleeping in. * Location: The Sheraton and Westin are ideally located in the heart of the downtown. This property is convenient to the Space Needle and Gates Fdn, but a bit out of the core. It's not a bad trade off with the easy parking. March 21, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good downtown option - a few issues Generally a good downtown option. Platinum member - Stayed at Seattle Westin, Sheraton, and Four Points easily 50 times. The good: - best value of the three - property in excellent condition for Four Point brand - includes parking that is the most convenient self parking - very friendly staff The issues: - Responsiveness: generally friendly and responsive, but an occasional lapse. Last visit, overall the condition is excellent, however this last time the shower wasnt working quite right. The irony is that it was a suite upgrade which I appreciated. I didn't have time (re-dress, call for maintenance, let them fix it etc) so I made do and let front desk know as I was running out the door to my meeting. Clerk suggested that the manager was the best person to follow up with any SPG points or discount as an apology (as they had more authority for more points etc). Cool. No response. I called several days later, manager out, left message. Still no response. - noise: it's next to a busy street and construction. If you are a light sleeper, be sure to ask for quieter room. - Average location: convenient location to Space Needle and Gates Fdn area, but otherwise a so-so location compared to other two properties (where you can walk out the front door and be at the heart of things) March 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 4points Gold Standard This hotel is what every four points should strive to be. Hotel is close to downtown and has its own covered parking garage. Check in fast and efficient. Room clean, quiet and comfortable. Interior of hotel felt fresh, clean and 1st class. Nothing looked cheap or shabby or rundown. This hotel was built right and looks nicer than a lot of regular Sheratons. Breakfast was delicious. Stay here with confidence. February 24, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bad stay the room was stink of eating from 6 am to 10 pm the bed looked like it had been used by an elephant we had breakfast included in the rate, but it was only one possible choice. (two eggs, bacon toast) January 19, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very unhappy stay, won't come back again When I made the reservation on the phone, I was promised to get a bedroom with door separating its living room. My understanding for that is a suite. But apparently, I was wrong. I was only given a studio with a very small living area when checked in. My willing to get upgrade for paying more was refused firmly. Also, the microwave and fridge were not given unless you pay $10 per day for each of them. I later talked to four points customer service and they told me if you are not a "special" member, you don't get suite unit at all. I hope they told me that when I made the reservation on the phone. Also, I was promised to get free parking. Later on, I checked my credit card bill, I was over-charged for the parking. Without the final receipt, I have to say that the calculation is not that straight forward. Fortunately, they agree to refund me because this free parking is clearly shown on my reservation confirmation email. So, if you choose to stay, be vigilant on your final bill. Don't get me wrong, this hotel is in great location, which is close to Space Needle. However, with the two problems I encountered above, I wouldn't visit it again myself. January 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Hotel, Great Location Ideally located at the south end of Lake Union. Beautiful, clean and well lit rooms. Lots of dining options in easy walking distance and the staff is amazing. December 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel! I've stayed at the Four Points Sheraton Downtown Seattle Center several times now. I always enjoy my stay and all staff members are very friendly. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is pretty good for hotel food. Overall, the stay is great value. I definitely recommend the hotel! November 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very accommodating Would come back again. Great location and nice amenities. November 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Service The staff from the hotel were incredible. Very helpful in every way. It really made the stay more enjoyable. Top notch. Would recommend the hotel to any of my friends and would feel confident in doing so! Thank you so much. November 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great location and value The quality of the hotel, in additiona to its proximity to everything in downtown Seattle at an affordable price is a winning combination. October 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Be aware when you check in. I was given a handicap room even though I am not disabled. I did not see the hand held shower until it was in my opinion too late to change rooms. Very uncomfortable. I am only 5'9" and I had to crouch down to wash my hair. Breakfast was good with prompt and friendly service. Front desk people were also friendly and helpful with directions. October 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hotel with decent location Overall a very good experience with this hotel. Location is close to the space needle and a subtrain to downtown area. Breakfast has quite some choices. Room in a good condition. Staffs have been friendly and helpful. Cant complain about this hotel. October 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has great staff For guests who were totally unfamiliar with the area, the staff was most helpful and went out their way to meet our needs and answer our questions. The drawback at this time was the construction, and for getting back to the hotel on the one-way or blocked streets. October 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for SPG business travelers Newly remodeled hotel. SPG dedicated 4th floor. King suites are beautiful. Parking is limited and there is fee to park in the garage. Construction in the area. October 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Restaurant and service were really amazing The restaurant is small, however I was really impressed by the quality of the food and the service. I even brought a friend to dine there my second night. The lobby was great too--comfortable and with two computers and a printer to use. My room was a little noisy--close to the elevator, so I heard the ding early in the morning, October 2, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by No help with Internet The wired Internet didn't function. Front desk routed me to the offsite tech support who said they'd escalate the issue and would call back shortly. Two hours later, no call and when I called back they said it was still escalated and I would hear back soon. 24 hours later, still no information. September 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable Good location, convenient. September 29, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Very noisy & scary parking This hotel is walking distance to the Seattle Center, which is great, but it was really noisy and the guest parking is not well-lit. September 25, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Short stay For a night stay only, front desk staffs were kind. Really appreciated. However, room condition isn't good enough. Can hear some noise from lobby at room. September 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great staff and very helpful I would stay here again and I recommond this hotel September 10, 2014
