Having never been to Barcelona, I was so very pleased with this hotel. Very clean and in a good location. A short easy walk to the Metro (get a T10 pass). The staff is helpful and courteous, everyone speaks English. My husband was disappointed that the Fitness Center wasn't ready, but it should be shortly. You can go down the street (in almost any direction) for a less expensive breakfast than offered in the hotel. Stay on a higher floor, the windows are not soundproof. There is no iron in the room, but there is a hairdryer. They only give you exactly enough towels for the number of people in the room, so if one gets dirty during the day, there is no extra towel. (I'm sure you can ask for more). These are minor inconveniences for an American travelling in Europe and probably very standard throughout Europe. Overall this was a very nice hotel.

I love this hotel location. Thought Diagonal Street might be too busy, but had no trouble sleeping. The side street was wonderful. We walked it to the beach, had many meals in the outdoor restaurants. It was so peaceful and yet refreshing.
told everyone on the ship it was the greatest place to stay, in fact it made us want to look for an apartment in the area for an extended stay!! Diagonal made it super easy to get to from airport and to the port. We went to Sagrada Familiar and Las Ramblas easily too.Stay was too short.

I had an excellent stay at this Four Points, and it can completely be attributed to the hotel manager. We rented bikes, and when my chain broke many miles away from the hotel, he literally drove what appeared to be his personal vehicle with a replacement bike and maintained communication with us while we waited. I wish I could remember his name, but he made our trip.
He should be commended.

FABULOUS HOTEL.. GOT A GREAT DEAL WITH OUR SPG POINTS WHICH IS THE REASON WE BOOKED HERE. HOWEVER, AFTER RETURNING TO THE U.S., WE WILL BOOK ANOTHER TRIP AND STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. IF YOU WANT A HOTEL IN THE CITY, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. HOWEVER, IT IS TOTALLY ACCESSIBLE BY EVERY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. WE USED TAXI OR FOOT MOST OF THE TIME. BARCELONA IS VERY SPREAD 0UT, SO YOU NEED TO USE TRANSPORTATION MOST OF THE TIME ANYWAY REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU ARE STAYING.
IT IS IN A MORE RESIDENTIAL AREA IN A NEIGHTBORHOOD WITH EVERYTHING YOU COULD WANT, JUST LESS HASSLE. YOU WALK STRAIGHT TO BEACH WHICH NEVER ENDS.
THE STAFF WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO WELCOME YOU. WE TRAVELED IN SEVERAL CITIES AND DIFFERENT HOTELS. THIS WAS BY FAR THE FRIENDLIEST AND MOST ATTENTIVE.
THIS IS NOT A FANCY UPSCALE OVER THE TOP HOTEL. IT IS HOWEVER, EXTREMELY CLEAN, MODERN, GOOD FOOD AT RESTAURANT, SMALL ROOFTOP GYM AND FELT VERY SAFE AND WELCOME.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Krunoslav Excellent place to stay
I’m frequent business traveler and platinum SPG member. I had chance to stay in lot of hotels but this one in Barcelona is one of my favorite (this year alone I spent there 3 weeks).
There are more luxuries hotels (in Starwood chain) in Barcelona (W for example) but there are much more expensive.
Value that you have in this hotel is excellent, in my opinion position is great. If you like walking, you can reach beach and Sagrada Família in 20/30 min. Just across street there is jump on/off bus stop, and metro station is 5 min from hotel.
Rooms are nice and clean (I would prefer shower room in bathroom instead of bathtub), although I have been upgraded every single time to Starwood floor (10th) with nice view to SagradaF Familia.
Stuff is very helpful, and they will do they best to help you. Hotel is not too big and I was always able to find someone on reception to handle my request quickly. On side wall there is info that this hotel privately owned by some family and run under license, not sure if this is true, but feel relaxed here.
Breakfast is an average, and maybe only thing that hotel should improve. On other you have serials, fruits, eggs, meat, …
Overall I rated this hotel based on value you get, and fact that is not in center where majority of tourist are. You are willing to spend twice amount of money (I’m talking about Starwood chain) you can get Le Meridien on La Rambla or for 3-4 time more W on Baceloneta.
Me, I prefer to stay more days in Barcelona for same amount of money

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was welcoming and extremely helpful with directions and suggestions. The breakfast was outstanding: great choices and everything was fresh and delicious. The hotel is located in a wonderful area, close to many cafes, a short walk to the beach and near the train station. The rooms were clean and comfortable as are most Starwood properties. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends!

Keeping in mind the price point and Four Points brand aspirations, this is definitely one of the best I have experienced. The building is new and attractive - as are the small but stylish public spaces. The location, while not quite central, is on a major thoroughfare and close to metro stops, shops and restaurants. The room was large, airy and beautifully furnished. Both mattress and linens were extremely high quallity.
SPG Recognition in FourPoints properties is difficult as the rooms are usually all in a single category but, having said that, we did get a high floor on the main facade with a gorgeous view of the Barcelona skyline and what seemed to be the largest floor plan. I loved the floor to ceiling wall of glass. The clerk at check-in was new (had to ask several basic things to a colleague) and didn't give any Platinum recognition (calling by name, mentioing status level and current number of points, etc) but he was, nevertheless, pleaant.
Breakfast was very nice. Although we did not dine in, meal prices were extremely reasonable. One surprise but certainly not a deal-breaker...the bartender didn't know ow to make a martini and when told, didn't have vermouth. In as cosmopolitan place as Barcelona, this is amazing!
I was very positively impressed by how nice and clean everything - especially the corridors - smelt.
One suggestion - as this brand is for do-it-youself style travel, it would be nice to have a coffee/tea-making service in the room.
Hallways smelled beuatif
