Interesting that my first review was not published, or pulled so I thought I better do this again in far less detail.
The front counter staff were not up to scratch and made for a very unpleasant stay for myself and other guests that I invited. The GM did sort things out after I left but if front end staff were properly trained in the first place there would have been no need for the GM to step in.
I stayed with other Platinum members as well and they were also thoroughly underwhelmed. I would only class it a one or two star SPG property.

Hotel located at Mary Street.
1) You can reach riverside by walking.
2) The room is not big but you may feel comfort.
3) Foods: you have chance to taste the foods in Hotel restaurant. It is not bad.
There is one small issue: I can not find a map of the city.
That is all. It is your choose now.

First time visitor to Brisbane.
I phoned the hotel a couple of times for transport recommendations and they were very helpful and friendly each time. Was it Alex (female) on the line? I can't remember now.
This is a beautiful property and the view from the Suite Upgraded suite was really great.
The platinum Breakfast was excellent.

Unfortunately staying in room 509 wasn't at all what I had expected. As traveling as a couple I found that during the night if one of us used the bathroom that the entire room filled with light and woke up the other person. I haven't come across a design like this ever before. I have stayed at sheraton in Sydney several times and would again but I found four points Brisbane to be a very disappointing. However finding a mouse in reception was a laugh

Room was small, limited views of river. Everything was an expensive add on, eg parking ($45) & internet ($20). It seems the more you pay the less you get. I have stayed at Sheraton/4 seasons, as well as competitors hotels elsewhere and this isn't quite there in value etc.

The hotel is new, in a good location to the CBD.
the service was excellent and the room was well designed and clean.
Room should have a pod coffee maker. Instant coffee does not make the grade anymore.
