Rated 4 out of 5 by jess349 Great hotel but a few service gaps
Great stay however during my stay there were two incidents that concerned me. A large piece of trim fell off the wall during the night and I tripped over it leaving my room. This was quickly addressed. The second concern I have is regarding the water fountain in the gym. This water fountain has not been filled in at least 3 weeks! I've brought it up to staff and asked them to fill it however the water continues to not be filled. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and quick to act re: trim. They've also been very professional and helpful over the course of my several stays. I've stayed at this hotel several times and the staff have always been quick to offer assistance otherwise.

Just spent 4 nights at this hotel and everything was great. Had stayed in this hotel before the conversion to a Four Points Sheraton and am very pleased with the changes including upgraded breakfast and lounge areas. The gym is larger with more extras - free water bottles and towels provided. There is an option to not have the bedding and towels changed in exchange for a $5 credit that can be used in the hotel. Great idea! I ordered room service two nights and the service was great - 30 minutes or free. The pulled pork sandwich with salad or fries was very good. Staff were all very pleasant, professional and went out of their way to be helpful.
I really like this hotel and would highly recommend it to those travelling for business or pleasure.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 4010 Very disappointed
Room with two beds VERY crowded. So crowded you could only watch TV from bed. No comfortable chairs to sit in. Lighting very poor. When AC came on it sounded like a truck coming through your room. When you looked out of the window all you saw was an old wooden fence and weeds. Just plain ugly. Attendent at breakfast was rude. We ordered a tower room and got a first floor in the old part. We should have complained at check in and checked the room before accepting occupancy but that is not who we are. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN OUR STAY. With all the new hotels goung up in the vacinity I guess we will not have to subject ourselves to this disappointment in the future.

This was a one-night stay with our two grandchildren and was the first time that we had stayed at this particular hotel. Our room keys were already prepared when we arrived and were in a "you have been upgraded" folder. On questioning, it turned out that, in fact, we had not been upgraded and no suites with the separate bedroom were available. Also, I had booked a rate with breakfast included and there were no breakfast coupons in folder. Our room was a reasonable size but was sort of cut-up with the arrangement of bathroom and kitchenette. After we had unpacked, we thought we would take the kids to the pool. As we left the room, someone was bringing some iced bubbly to the room next door. Turned out that this room was for a bachelorette party and the door remained partly open for much of the time as people came and went. This situation did not improve for our stay and music later in the evening made it difficult for the kids to get to sleep. I asked early on for a change of rooms but the hotel was full and a change was not possible. The front desk person admitted that they knew that we had been put in the room next to a bachelorette party at the beginning. Not a wise decision. The pool was fine, if a little hot. Problem was there was only two towels available for the 4 of us. We were short of towels in the room, and there were no robes. This was quickly corrected. We had dinner in restaurant on-site. Very few customers but only one waitperson. I asked for the kids menu and was told that there wasn't one. On persisting, kids menus were found. Service was good. The menu was somewhat limited. My granddaughter wanted pasta but there was not a single pasta dish on either the regular, special (World Cup) or kids menus. Food was good but pricey. As already mentioned, our nights rest was very much interrupted. Breakfast was a disaster. Far more people than the room or staff could handle. Things kept running out on the buffet. Also, some larger group was hogging a lot of the seats so it was difficult to find anywhere to sit. The poor staff were run ragged and the kitchen could not keep up. On check-out, I was asked about my stay and mentioned again the problem with the room. I was offered extra Starpoints which was nice. I would, however, have preferred not to have knowingly been put next door to a bachelorette party. Another small point was that there was only one bottle of complimentary water in the room. On the basis of this visit, I can not recommend the hotel. Maybe, we just hit them at the "wrong time'. Certainly, some of the facilities are quite nice and the staff do seem to care.

Service was fantastic from check in to check out and everything in between! Was quite impressed by the staff there and we're typically quite hard to please. Hotel well located and quite comfortable. My only downside is that in room food service was not available late night but made due with the pantry item available for purchase at reception and the microwave in the room.

We stayed at Four Points Waterloo-Kitchener from June 8- June 9 ,2014. It was refreshing to have friendly faces to meet us...and enthusiasm. After all we were tired from our tour of St.Jacobs. Our room was beyond description. We had chosen this room because of the special celebration package... Not to mention the whirlpool tub. After dropping things off in our room we travelled down to the pool and hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working at its best but we did get to relax our tired muscles before it stopped working. When it came time for dinner, we asked Kyle at the front desk for some suggestions. What a wealth of information he proved to be. He was genuinely interested! Later that evening we found that our jacuzzi was not working in our room :-( however, we knew we could approach the front desk and we knew our concern would be passed on. When we left the next day we had experienced a fantastic sleep in the most comfortable bed, we found the room and the hotel was quiet and we had a reduction in our bill due to the malfunctioning jacuzzi. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it !
