Rated 4 out of 5 by Newly remodeled Newly remodeled property close to Airport and centrally located, quick access off the freeway. Can improve on guest room bathroom and elevator. Rooms ammenities are new. Stay was comfortable, and access to parking was good. I would stay here again. July 25, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Teething Pains Check in. No recognition of SPG status. Room okay, no bottled water. Went to front desk said they were out, but I could go next door to gas station to buy some. I did, 24 bottles - $5.00! Out at meeting all day next day returned around10 PM no maid service. Checked with front desk the following morning to make sure I was not on the Green program. Confirmed that I was not. Checking with housekeeping, still awaiting a reply. Also mentioned the bath gel container was empty. Returned early evening of to find bed made but all the used towels were left. no replacements. Left at 6AM next morning. Promised that they would report it , again. Left the unused bottle water (about 15). I know they just became a Sheraton but they need a little more training. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Accomodating & Clean We were very pleased with what they had to offer...Staff, Comfort of Room, Food, Drink....all wonderful! It is NEW SPG location but they are doing all they can to make the transition work! Management was there to always make sure we were pleased as well. July 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and very functional. Because of my experience here, I would definitely look to stay at other Four Points by Sheraton properties. July 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent gem in Scranton Our family of four stayed here 1 night. Staff was very nice. Room was excellent. Wi-Fi was excellent. No problems. July 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by It's the Little Things I must admit that the entrance, lobby, pool, restaurant, bar and main part of the hotel room were very nice; great bed (comfortable, clean, and I slept great), big screen TV, spacious bedroom, clean, attractive. The issue we had was that the first room we checked into had messed up bed linens/covers...didn't look unused and ready for new visitors. So, they moved us to another room. This room was fine, as far as the bed linens and overall cleanliness. However, the bathroom in both rooms (and I presume all regular rooms...maybe not in the suites, if they had any) was the SMALLEST I HAVE EVER SEEN IN ANY HOTEL, including the cheapest hotels at a fraction the cost of this one. It was so small you had to close the door to sit on the toilet. And there was no way two people could even stand in the bathroom at the same time. You couldn't open the bathroom door if someone was in the bathroom, without their carefully maneuvering to get out of the way of the door opening, and you had to close the door to use the bathroom, at all, e.g., someone could not sit on the toilet, with a second person in the bathroom, say trying to stand at the room!!! This was just plain weird and stupid considering all the space in the bedroom. They should have given at least a couple more feet to the bathroom and less to the bedroom. But the big problem was our sink would not drain. Couldn't wash your face, as the sink rapidly filled up and would not drain. We called the front desk three times about it, as they supposedly sent someone the first two times (we left the room for dinner and shopping), who presumably "fixed" the sink, but when we got back used it again it had the exact same problem. Finally, on our third call, it was almost midnight, we were going to bed and did not want anyone else coming to our room to attempt a third try at fixing the sink, we just requested a refund on the room. To the hotel's credit, they didn't charge us for the room. But I would not return...too many problems. Also talked with other guests who said the service was terrible, e.g., they didn't even get their room cleaned daily. As we only stayed 1 night, I do not known if we would have had daily maid service or not. July 23, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good Breakfast and Service, but cleanliness needs work Ther staff were friendly and service was quite good. Food was good both breakfast and dinner event. However, the halls and stairwells had a strong odor, room cleanliness was marginal (someones old sock was in there and comfortors had spots on them. The wait for elevators was excessive so we took the stairs everytime. July 21, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by did not meet my expectations Upon arrival the check-in desk was unstaffed. I had to wait for someone to show up. I have a problem with my vision and the staff was kind enough to help me to my room. Upon arrival at the room the staff person said there should be bottled water in the room and would bring me the missing water but never did. The room was on the second floor facing an interstate motorway. The noise from the motorway was loud and constant. Then at 3:36 AM the dumpster located directly below my window was emptied. The driver of the waste truck banged the dumpster numerous times to empty it. Upon check-out the staff never asked how my stay was. I guess I expected a little more from a Four Points Sheraton.
