this hotel used to be my choice of stay but lately the service and rooms were a big disappointment. The aircon, fridge, electric kettle and bathtub wasn't in good working condition and the room service sucks! And the guest service officer was arrogant as well.

Amazing hotel. Great service, great rooms, staff were top notch amazing!!! I was travelling a 3 year old alone and a week. The staff were so sweet and attentive to my child. One day, I left my iPhone at the pool and the service man returned it to the desk. Most people would have taken it and all my picture for this trip would have disappeared.
Love the pool and lobby. Staff being the best.
feed backs are-sink is really high. Im 5'4 and I was struggling. So my 3 year old had to climb up on the counter. Nothing you can do, no big deal.
Another thing is room service. Breakfast is so amazing. All the food is prepared perfectly, taste so authentically and yet room service is sub par.
None the less. This hotel will always be my go to from now on. Great job!!!

I've requested for non smoking room but were given a smoking floor with an excuse all rooms were fully booked.Room rate per night is very high with no free breakfast.overall the room is very clean and the view is superb.

Booked 2 rooms for a birthday getaway for a friend. Mentioned only when checking in and the staff were so kind to being up a slice of birthday cake. Simple touches like made up bed and jelly beans/marshmallows on the table. I had some paperwork to sort our and they were so kind to offer their fax services. Was a pleasant stay friends that came with also feedback they will definitely stay at Four Points for their future Penang trips

Upon arrival, we were very warmly greeted by the bell boys who helped us with our luggage. Check in was brisk and efficient. Being spg plat, was allocated a suite. Although the room was spacious, the bathroom was a real squeeze. This is the only gripe . The entire team delivers an impeccable level of service. What amazes was when we ask for travel info, Mr Malkom personally delivers a well organized folio of travel brochure to our room and gave us detailed information as he is a penangnite. . When we got lost driving to a dental clinic, Mr Danesh took time off and rode on a motorbike to lead us there. The gm and the management ought to be really proud of each n every member of their staff who strive to give their absolute best .Thank you

Location is by the main road at the Tanjung Bungah resort area. About 10 minutes drive to Gurney and 15 minutes drive to Georgetown city center. Not much to do in the area around the hotel. I was assigned a room on the 4th floor facing the main road, and it was noisy. I think the glass window is NOT thick enough to block street noise. Awoke a couple of times at night due to loud motorcycle noise from the street (illegal street race?). Room decor is excellent, bed is comfy. However, my room was NOT clean. I found thrash just below the curtain (a couple of discarded sweets) and guest room wall was full of scratch. The carpet in the elevator foyer was also littered with debris when I first walk into my room for check in. Water from shower area keep overflowing onto the rest of the bathroom due to minimal incline on the shower floor. Check in and check out was rather slow. Non existent elite SPG member recognition. On the brighter side, staff was really helpful when I requested help to locate missing item in my room after check out.

Not coming to Penang in a long time I desided on Four Points as beeing Starwood Platinum.
I was pleasently surprised with the hotel; especially with the very friendly, attentive and funny staff (especially thanks to Jamillah, Sabrina, Munshid in the bar... you know why:)). I will be this year Platinum for life so I have seen a few Starwood hotels and I think that the staff in Four Points (especially the bar) is one of the best!
Otherwisw, hotel is clean, rooms are very nice (I got Platinum recognition upgrade to suite) with sea wiev. The beach is not so good for swimming but pool/pool area is nice. Bar terrace ideal for late afternoon/evening sunset and gin tonics.
Will come again for sure.
