Upon arrival, we were very warmly greeted by the bell boys who helped us with our luggage. Check in was brisk and efficient. Being spg plat, was allocated a suite. Although the room was spacious, the bathroom was a real squeeze. This is the only gripe . The entire team delivers an impeccable level of service. What amazes was when we ask for travel info, Mr Malkom personally delivers a well organized folio of travel brochure to our room and gave us detailed information as he is a penangnite. . When we got lost driving to a dental clinic, Mr Danesh took time off and rode on a motorbike to lead us there. The gm and the management ought to be really proud of each n every member of their staff who strive to give their absolute best .Thank you

This hotel is very good value for money.
We stayed here for three nights in one of the ocean facing rooms. The view was
absolutely fantastic. The room although small, was very comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was delicious. The only thing we missed was real bacon.
The friendliness of the hotel staff was the absolute standout of our stay. We were quite
impressed by their attentiveness, particularly Tharany and Sri.
Thanks to Malcolm for guiding us on public transport options and the hawker food market
close by. While the food at the hotel itself was excellent and cheap, we loved being close enough to walk down to the hawker stalls for dinner every evening.
We do plan to visit Penang again and definitely intend to stay at the Sheraton when we do.

I was pretty surprised when I saw the review rating is so low for this hotel and there were so much complaints from others. Well, i think most of them forget that the expectation should match to the price that you pay for. It has been meeting my expectation although I used to stay 150 nights/ year at 5 stars hotels across the world for the past 3-4 yrs. The scene is pretty good, fair swimming pool, cheap and good food and the most important thing is the stuff is friendly.
I do agree the car park is not enough but they do offer stuff to park the car for you.
I believe they are trying hard to meet customers requirement although they are still lacking of experience and I am pretty sure I will still coming back as the only SPG hotel in Penang. Do keep your friendliness and politeness while facility does take time to development/ invest. Thanks...

After reading the reviews posted for this newly opened hotel we were not too sure what we would encounter. But when you think that this property is a Cat 1 the very few minor things above can be forgotten.
At the helm is Kurt, who rose out of his way to make us comfortable, and his smiling pool boy who we3nt out of his way to make these funny fruit cups for the boys.
Dont hesitate to have a week here, the beach and pool are excellent, the breakfast more than suitable and the staff trying so hard to be the best. Look at your purse, and smle for what value you got and allow this hotel to climb and grow, Thanks Kurt, well be there again next year. From the Coffen famiy adelide

We stayed here for the week, this is a brand new 4 Points hotel, staff was in training, we found management and staff helpful and friendly. Platinum benefits included breakfast and suite upgrade. No evening cocktails. Location is good. The only problem we had was getting a taxi, the car service there is slow. But overall we loved this Category One hotel and staff, and we will recommend it to all.

Checked in to a suite here, a welcome note with a cute plate of candies were waiting for me on the table and it was very heart warming.
Hotel is very new, hence I suppose some of the very minor issues can be forgiven.
First, I realized for a suite I only had one trash bin in the bathroom. There was none in the bedroom, living room and kitchen at all. So every time I need to throw away something I had to walk all the way to the bath room.
Then, I realized there was no bottled water at all after searching the entire suite but a call to the front desk and everything is sorted.
Both the TV sets in the living room and bedroom isn't working but again a quick call to the front desk and it was sorted in a short while.
Then, I ordered in-room dining and wanted a can of Coke to go with it. Then room service called back and said they do not have any canned drinks at all and if I wanted a Coke they could only serve the 1.5L large bottle Coke which I thought it is a little too much for my one person consumption.
I have an eye for details, and I can't help but realizing the time on the bedside radio clock was way wrong as well as it was showing 7 am while the actual time is almost midnight.
However those are really minor issues.
The room quality is absolutely up class and bed lives up to the standard of Four Points.
The front desk staff is very attentive and actually took a personal interest in what I do and the reason why I checked in to the hotel. I asked for some directions to a location for an early meeting I need to be tomorrow morning, and they immediately arranged a taxi for me and double checked it with me in the very same hour so I do not need to worry about it and can have a peace of mind.
Absolutely world class attentive service. I know where I will check in to the next time I return to Penang.

the view in my room is awesome. most of the staff very helpful.
what i am not satisfied with :
1. lack of food labels in the restaurant. For eg. i had to taste three white fluids to find soy milk.
2. the dept arranging transport screwed up my bookings several times during the stay.
3. main door in my room very small and heavy to open and close.
Overall, i think the above shortcomngs are common amongst newly open hotels. It should be ok after a while. I will be back after six months.
