Rated 2 out of 5 by Unhappy gst Well we got to the hotel and check in staff was friendly but I ask for adjoining rms or on the same floor as the rest of my friends who were staying there to celebrate my bday agent said yes same floor I was on the 1st floor they were on the third went to the pool had to wait over 30mins for towels to be brought out there was another family also waiting made to calls from the house phone then a call from my cell at check out I dent to get my deposit back was never ask to show my Id or asked how was my stay very disappointed August 13, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by A lil rude I must do better remembering what time breakfast ends, did not like being chastised by hostess when we can to late to breakfast. She made me feel like I was a wasting her time, and giving us 30mins of of Breakfast time she was doing us a favor. On another note, I've stayed before and my preferred status was always noted this time it was not. No biggie August 12, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good for one night! I needed a room to sleep and that did not happen. The room was clean, internet service never worked, pool water cloudy, spa water cold, the maid knocked on door at 8:00AM and unaccommodating to extend late check-out after being disturbed by maid. I was disappointed overall...so if you are expecting sleep, post do not disturbed sign and do not expect comparison services to other Four Points. August 11, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Will never stay again! This was by far the WORST hotel I have EVER stayed at. Customer service was terrible. The room smelled musty, the water the in the bathroom sink took forever to drain. The toilet did not flush properly. I was told by front desk there was nothing they could do for me, as there were no other rooms available, nor was there any managers on duty on the weekends. I was forced to check out early because I did not like the room I was given and the customer service given to an SPG GOLD member was way below standards. Worst experience, EVER! And I have stayed at MANY Starwood Hotels. August 7, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by HOTEL IS DIRTY DEAR SPG, I TRAVEL A BIT AND I ALWAYS TRY TO STAY IN YOUR SPG HOTELS. THE ROOM LAST NIGHT WAS DIRTY, SPIDER WEBS WERE HANGING FROM THE WINDOW INSIDE MY ROOM, THE SEALER OF THE TOILET WAS COMING OFF, THE CHAIR WAS PEELING OFF, ROOM OVERALL VERY DIRTY. I JUST STAYED AT THE 4 POINTS BY SHERATON IN SEATTLE AND THAT ONE WAS PERFECT SO I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THIS HOTEL SO DIRTY. AT THE CHECK IN THEY DID NOT OFFER ME THE CHOICE OF THE BONUS POINTS OR DRINK AND DESPITE THE STAFF BEING NICE AND COURTEOUS, OVERALL I DID NOT FEEL AS STAYING IN A SPG HOTEL. Rated 4 out of 5 by Helpful staff and good location The hotel staff was welcoming despite a late check-in and very helpful with my luggage. The breakfast buffet included omelettes and waffles to order as well as fresh fruit. The entertainment available Saturday nights (salsa dancing) did not interfere with my getting a good night's sleep which made the stay good August 6, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel needs a face lift. Very dated. On Thursday we stayed at the Sheraton Mission Bay and then went to the 4 points. Very disappointed. The first night the room was old, carpet is rolling up. There was a hole in the ceiling from a water leakage from tub above us. While using toilet I was splashed by the leak. After I requested a new room we were moved to 2nd floor. The room was a little more update but still in need of a face lift. Very disappointing. I have stayed at 4 points by Little Italy and in the past if we are comparing apples to apples. It was very nice and I would return to that 4 points! August 5, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Location I was most skeptical when learning my wife had booked a Four Points hotel. After having bad experiences at Four Points in Chicage/Nashville I was most surprised when we checked in to this spacious Four Points on Aero Dr., San Diego. Very clean and comfortable. Easy access to downtown plays, baseball, shopping etc. We will return should our travel take us to San Diego August 5, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by This hotel has unexpected features after arriving hotel, we were shocked by this structure. it is like a loft with rooms on 3 different floors. the staff were kind though. we asked for the filter in the morning once we cannot find it in the coffee machine, however, until we checked out, nobody showed up after they told us through the phone that they were coming. further more, they told us that they ran out of tooth brush, however, it is their job to maintain enough in stock, not to tell the customers that they could not provide it. Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT STAY HERE! i had to change three times to get right room for me. first room seems like someone smoke in the room, second room was ada room, thrid room was ok. Still i can see the stain on the sheet, and hair on the bathtub. No spg recognition, it's an old property. I will not stay here again, i will probably not stay at SPG anymore August 3, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Expected better service I seriously expected better service! I had been searching for a hospital near the children's hospital and I found this one with shuttle which I thought was great! I really needed someone to transport me from hospital to hotel and vice-versa the next morning. After several phone calls I was able to get someone to pick me up. Which I thought was going to be an easier thing to do. Also, I had two kids with me. Very overwhelmed by a long day and the man who picked us up was not attentive enough to help me load and unload my stuff. I had made my reservation a week prior and I even gave my card number to the man on the other line. He was short in his explanation and told me everything was ready for my stay. I even got points and emails confirming everything. However, when I got to the hotel the story was changed. The man at the front desk was rude and said the hotel room had not been paid off. That was not a problem, I could pay but why was it not paid for when I was told I didn't have to worry about anything? I understand checking in and giving them my card for identification purposes but the attitude was not the best. Then he pointed to a not so pleasant looking area and stated I would be staying there in the room at the corner. I understand I was getting a discount because I had a patient at the hospital but if I would have known I would have paid the regular price or better yet- stayed in a BETTER hotel! When I walked into the room I noticed it had a weird smell. To me it seemed as if it was a room they really didn't care for. I was too tired to even bother calling the front desk. Then, the bed sheets smelled as if they had not been cleane before. It was gross! The next morning, I had to ask for my receipt. The shuttle was "good" because they took me to the hospital but the man did not help me again. I seriously expected a better stay--- the room was the biggest concern I have. In Rady's Children's Hospital it is being promoted as a good hotel where I can stay worry free. I understand the discount but I shouldn't be treated differently because I am getting a discount. I have stayed in other hotels in the area which are even less costly and I have not felt as if I am being discriminated for paying less. At least the bed sheets were clean! I wouldn't recommend this place. The food in the restaurant was delicious but the hotel room I was very disappointed. I seriously hope this kind of service was only provide to me and not to other guests who are in the same situation because it is sad. I thought I would stay in a clean place and it did not happen. Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel disappointments 1. I was charged $20.00 more at check-out than quoted when I placed the reservation. 2.. Women's bathroom across from Citrus was not tended to, disgusting. It had a sewer smell. The toilets does not flush well. 3. Both beds in my room were uncomfortable. July 30, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by why can't they fix the water pressure regulators on the showers? this is the 3rd month in a row that I've had a room where I can't get more water to come out of the shower than what comes out of the tub spigot!! Luckily, I'm short and can squeeze under the shower head to get a few dribbles of water to take my morning shower...I report it every time I check out. it doesn't seem to matter if you are in a Starwood room or not. Other than that, it's a great value for the money and the employees are very nice July 29, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Not clean or quiet I stayed here overnight on business. The room was not clean. The paper cups (please provide real cups) were dirty. I tried to brew hot water but the coffee pot was filthy. The bathroom had not been wiped down. The air conditioner was loud, and you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. July 26, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by A true disappointment The appearance of the hotel looks good, but a closer look reveals some disappointment. Strong WiFi signal, but no throughput--too many other guests using it. Fitness center has 5 machines, 2 of which are broken. Toilets take several flushes to finish the job. Ordered salmon at the Citrus restaurant, which was good, but it was sitting on a burnt piece of wood. It seems they put the wood in the oven, and so my meal reeked of burnt wood. One of the elevators has a door that closes approximately 1 second after it opens. If you're not quick enough, you may need to take the next elevator, or even worse, you may get attacked by the elevator if you try to enter. Ordered room service. The guy showed up on time with the right food, but clearly was not happy about being there. No smile, no thank you, no confirming that the order was right. Thankfully, it was. I've been in plenty of budget hotels, but this was a total disappointment. I would complain, but I wouldn't know where to start. July 19, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by not a good Experience We arrived at 12pm on Sunday July 14 and we Were told to come back at 3pm for regular check. We came back at 345pm and rooms were still not ready. It was our Anniversary and we just wanted to relax so they gave us a handicap room instead. Went to the fitness center in the morning and there were no towels or cups to drink water. I would not recommend this location at all. July 16, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has great features. We were very happy staying at this hotel. Not only were there great features but the staff was very friendly. One thing that stands out was how helpful they are especially the manager Rex who tried to get us a room for another night without jeopardizing any other client. That is what you called customer service at the best. It is close to UCSD which was our primary destination. July 15, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Neglected Property - High F/D Staff Turnover We live in the area & do "stay-play-vay" -cations every 6-8 weeks- here 6 times since November, 2012. Each visit gets progressively worse.The front desk turnover is very troubling - staff unfamiliar with rates/ packages. Do not recognize, nor make gold members feel "special". A giant roll of carpet in the "C" bldg. has sat there since Dec.'12 Dresser drawer in room wouldn't stay shut and I rammed my leg into it. Poor bedding/pillow quantity/quality, trash/litter in pkg. lot. TV volume poor, etc. On Mem Day, f/d ran out of 1/4's for laundry while Mr. Bernie (owner) sat at his corner spot counting his $$$, and cutting coupons (???) July 15, 2013
