Staff were great - location is great - room was updated, and comfortable (I was pleased that I received an upgrade). Wake up call was on time, staff was helpful with arranging a taxi to the airport.
I've already booked my next stay for Feb, 2015.

The Four Points in Medellin is an excellent choice for business or pleasure. I have stayed in this property multiple times and find the staff to be attentive and provide excellent service. The food is wonderful, particularly the breakfast every morning, and the rooms are comfortable and clean.
I am a regular at this hotel when I come to Medellin and recommend it fully.

Staff made every effort to accommodate my preferences. Very professional. The hotel is well located – near two malls and just five minutes by cab to Lleras.

The hotel was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit out of the heart of the city, but was a short cab ride to pick up the hop on, hop off bus and the local area tour company. The rooms were nice as well. Great value with the room rate as well. Medellin is a must see city.

Upon check in, the room looked and smelt like my grandmother's house in the 70s. Although a non-smoking room, it stunk of old cigarettes and booze.
The decor was sad. An old chartruese couch, dingy walls and poor lighting added to the abject ambiance.
The bathroom had tone of live ants running around the sink.
I opened one of the drawers and there were dirty dishes and empty bottles from a previous guest from some time ago.
The bed was hard as a rock and so were the pillows.
The carpet was stained.
I was shocked that Starwood would recommend this hotel and display it on it's registrar.

The bell boys(Ricardo and Santiago) and concierge staff were very helpful, however, the front desk staff was not at all interested in assisting the customers, no map of the city, no change for a large pesos bill and when a package was delivered for us it took them 24 hrs to locate it in the hotel. The hotel has a ridiculous policy: while there is a coffee maker in the room, only one cup of coffee per day is complimentary, so if there are two guests in the room, you must pay for the additional cup. We have never seen this anywhere else in the world! Finally, the buffet breakfast is barely average.

Location is great, central and close to businesses, and next to a shopping mall. Staff is very accomodating and friendly.
