Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel was okay We asked for a early reservation when we reserved a room as we had a wedding to attend. Well that didn't work and we were late for the wedding that we weren't pleased about at all. Room was okay but bathroom floor wasn't on floor from previous people. Food at restaurant was very good. Rated 3 out of 5 by Location This hotel is conveniently located downtown Kingston, minutes walk from shops and stores, and restaurants on every block, the location is GREAT, the hotel is mediocre, rooms are comfy, and clean, but outside of patio rooms on 4th floor were covered in cobwebs and dirt, view was not that great and what little patio there was is not inviting, but has potential to being a very hot spot with a little work and update. Hotel is overpriced for what you get, the price is strictly high because of Location. Rooms are average size but decent for clean, and my wife says the lighting was great in bathroom for all her needs! August 23, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good location but needs some improvements The hotel location is ideal for families visiting Fort Henry and the waterfront. The hotel staff were pleasant. However, I would recommend they review the A/C to reduce the fan noise and improve fresh-air circulation. The room was quite stuffy and the whole family woke up feeling a bit 'stuffed-up' from breathing seemingly stale air. The quality of the food for breakfast was good; however, the kids breakfast portions were more suitable for very young children. We had to order a second kids breakfast for my 8 year old and were charged double. I wish we had of just ordered the regular adult portion for him (it would have been cheaper). August 3, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dissapointed A/C didn't work. Staff blamed us first, but breaker was off after investigation. Offered a fan which was declined Still didn't follow up. We were told no other rooms avail but checking internet it said there was? Request made to front desk for minifridge. No call back. If you can't accommodate request at least call back. Waited 2hrs for it before asking desk if avail. I'll check was response again. No call back. 1/2 hr before restaurant closed waited ten minutes for any1 to show up, just wanted a drink. Also left restaurant at lunch before ordering- staff unengaged June 28, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has great STAFF From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out we were received with smiles even though there was a nurse's convention, the staff at the reception received everyone with a consistent smile. Emmanuel stands out as well as the girl working with him. The only thing we had a problem with was the parking key did not work at all, however they were conscious of the inconvenience, as it caused us a delay to the wedding. The front desk fixed the issue right away in deducting the parking fees for our inconvenience. I am a big believer if you can fix it now and offer it before you are asked to look at what you can do to fix the inconvenience it signifies a lot that the chain trusts its employees to keep their guests coming back to the same hotel. Rated 5 out of 5 by So impressed with kindness of staff Would like to especially thank Sarah Wesson, Mgr. & Emmanuel, Front Desk Staff person who were so kind to allow us to postpone our weekend getaway by 2 weeks when we had become ill with bad colds. They were both instrumental in making the change happen & compassionate to our predicament. As well, thank you to the Front Desk Staff person who took my call the night before to confirm the reservation (who was the same person to check us in)--she was very personable & informative; she was also able to change our reservation to include 1 King bed. The room we checked into was on a quiet floor with a fabulous view of the water. We had 2 great meals in the Restaurant (Sat. PM dinner & Sun. AM breakfast)--also served by great staff there! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large with unexpected complimentary items, and the bedroom layout was smart. The location of the hotel is so central & accessible to everything in Kingston. Future trips to Kingston will definitely include hotel stays at the Four Points Sheraton! Thanks to all the staff who succeeded in making our hotel stay (and weekend getaway) fantastic & stress-free!!! :) May 9, 2015

The King Street Sizzle was great food and good value. This hotel is right in the middle of beautiful Kingston and winter or summer there is so much to do and enjoy. Wish I could have stayed a week. Rated 3 out of 5 by Is it fair to criticize a comped room? On checking in, first key didn't work, got 3 replacement keys - none of which worked, got a new room and the key worked. The next day after breakfast went back to the room and the key didn't work. As the old Mayor of Kingston used to say, #notgood. Room was at 60 degrees when I checked in - raised the thermostat to 72, then 74, never could get it warm though the fan was on. At breakfast in Sizzlers, waited for over 10 minutes to get any service - then had to get up from the table and get my own menu and order coffee from the guy behind the bar. To be fair, once I had ordered, the food came pretty quickly and as ordered. Question - why are the hotel guest parking spaces at the bottom ofthe parkade with all the spaces closer to ground level reserved for City of Kingston employees - shouldn't it be the other way around if you are in the hoteling business, not the parking business? Regarding the required field for primary purpose of travel, where do funerals go? There should be a none of the above choice, or other. December 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by reservation dilema My Son and I stayed the Sheraton in Kingston Waterside during the University Tour day. There was a error in our reservation and we were only booked for the Friday evening. The hotel was at full capacity however Luke and his assistant worked on it allowing us to stay on for Sat. evening. Thank you to both of you. We look forward to our next stay at the Sheraton. Rated 3 out of 5 by Good location The hotel is located in downtown Kingston near the waterfront and about 10 minute walk from Queens University. It is also within walking distance to several excellent restaurants so it is in a very good location. The FourPoints Kingston is a good business hotel- clean,functional with an excellent location but not luxurious so I don't understand why anyone would leave a negative review expecting a luxury experience. The staff are friendly and the amenities are what one would expect for a Four Points. The thermostat doesn't work well and the rooms are not well insulated so the rooms will be a bit cold in the winter. November 28, 2014

Stayed for two nights in two rooms and was very disappointed with the whole stay .to start with I booked both rooms with lake view, stayed in the 5th floor with a lake view but most of the view is blocked by a big condo in the middle we could only see the lake from the sides. Asked for a room change and FD said all rooms have the same view. Rooms were little bit noisy from upper floor sounds like we were close to a gym or a pool. My wife had a exam at hotel dieu and wanted a quite room with a nice water view, and my parents came with us to enjoy there week end damn didn’t it went wrong Ordered room service for breakfast and they told me 20 mins with in about 5 mins had to call them back to change something’s in the order for my parents but said its already made and ready to deliver and can’t do anything now (I guess it was my fault ) Worst part –I told FD that I will be checking out at 4PM they said its fine .My wife’s exam ended little late and got to the hotel around 3.55PM when we return I went to FD told the give me extra 10 mins to grab our stuff from the room and to freshen up before driving to Toronto and said NO problem ,when I went back the room it was locked and couldn’t open it, there was a house keeper next door cleaning asked her and she said that she already cleaned the room and we can’t access it anymore. I was like we had our stuff in there where are they? I Then she was like Oh wait a min and brought our stuff from some where When my parent’s went in to their room they already push their stuff to a side and were cleaning we stayed for two days, paid over $1000 and you guys can’t give us 10 mins to get our stuff? Horrible, rude, very bad customer service and felt a very unsafe place. How can they be this bad to their guest’s This is one of the horrible stays that we have ever stayed never expected this to happen at a Sheraton. I was so angry and ask FD why they had to move our stuff and vacant it he had no answers and apologized. We felt like we got kicked out at the end of the stay saying like your time is up get out now. Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel in Disrepair Sorry guys but despite excellent staff there are some serious issues at this hotel. I was there for the Queens IRC program and found my room to be in disrepair with wallpaper pealing off the walls, worn carpet and moldy bathroom tile grout. While the Queens IRC event was executed very well, the powdered egg breakfast was absolutely disappointing. Please, please, use real eggs. While poor hotel coffee is not uncommon, the coffee supplied to our event was so bad that even the guest speakers made mention of it. Very watered down and a disappointment to the students who badly needed an energy jolt. The majority of the food was otherwise not bad. For a hotel that hosts many business and school events you would expect to have a good wifi connection. This was a point of contention among all the students (who are industry professionals). Most of us had to connect back with work in the evening and found this difficult. October 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Parking Was expecting a grand hotel as people told us that it's a great and fancy hotel and that we will love it. I found the room average nothing fancy at all, no fridge or even a free breakfast with your stay considering the rates for the room but we did get a free bottle of water. But that's not what I was upset about it was that for a high quality hotel you should provide parking for your guests at no charge. I had no idea that it was extra til I got home and looked at my email receipt. I have been to cheaper hotels that provide the same quality of room and they provide parking for their guests free of charge. Maybe you should rethink this as your guests should get free parking. Rated 3 out of 5 by Great sleep and service, subpar food and AIR QUALITY I was here for a conference and was impressed with the staff and had a fantastic sleep...the combination of the mattress and pillow quality was key. As an asthmatic, I had to increase my use of puffers unless I had a window open anytime I was in my room. The conference food...especially the breakfast...was not great. October 26, 2014

In dire need of updating, no fridge in rooms (needed for medication), bathroom lacking, mold in grouting/missing, toilet low for senior, bathroom floor dirty, air/heat fan very noisy (turned off system to sleep), sent both menu items back to kitchen on first night (cold food, empty restaurant?). My husband and I stayed here often in the past, decided to come with my daughter for a long weekend getaway for the Queen's Bader Opening Gala, not how I remember the hotel and would not stay at this location again unless improved. The fan was noisy and the temperature control did not function properly during my last stay. I reported the problem that the fan was running non-stop when it was in auto setting. Rated 1 out of 5 by unhappy missing furniture,ripped wallpaper,plastic glasses,dirty windows,and the reason we would not return would be the mould in the shower.we would have asked to change rooms but we didn"t use shower until the mourning.wasn:t just a little bit of mould,it was alot!best part of room was the comfortable bed.Girl at front desk was unresponsive to our complaints other than to thank us for making her aware.I worked for the keg for 20 years and if a staff member didn:t get a manager after a complaint ,she would haqve to answear for it!cheers jamie b white room 507 August 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by No More Trivago. And Back to Starwood In previous dealing with SPG, and therefore their hotels, I was left completely dissatisfied. This past weekend, due mostly to my dawdling, and attempts to save money since my "points" hotels were full, I chose Trivago, and then the 4-Points Kingston. The process bounced me off to another, unknown accumulator, who took my money but whose confirmation and reference numbers COULD NOT be referenced via the Starwood website. Several weeks of angst ensued, but we showed up midday the 22nd, were greeted with a smile and all-things-are-in-order by Duty Manager Luke. The room was fine, his attitude both upon check-in and check-out was exemplary. As a SOLE result of him, Trivago will never again be used, and I will forget the previous awful dealings with the chain. Kudos to him. August 25, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by An Average Hotel I was expecting more from this hotel in terms of wear and tear and cleanliness (stains in the bathroom and 2 dead bugs/moths on the curtain). I was also not expecting to have housekeeping knock and walk into our room at 9 a.m. when check-out is 12 pm. (I was later told the card must be placed on the door to avoid this, but as most hotels don't require that, I think it should be made known). Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating.
