Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to stay for all ages! Exceeded my expectations - staff and amenities were fantastic! Staff was professional, friendly and very attentive. Room was great - beautiful view (we chose beachfront), spacious, nice beds, linens, free internet, nice sized refrigerator, free bottled water, great parking. Loved the property - so many activities for people of all ages and numerous places for small or large groups to gather and visit with one another. Breakfast buffet was delicious and wait staff was very good. The ability to text drink and food orders while on the beach was AWESOME! A big shout out to Terrance, Jasmine, Krisena, Ray and all the others that made our stay perfect! July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfection I can't say enough good about this hotel. The room, the staff, the food, the atmosphere, all perfect! We had the pleasure of staying in a king suite overlooking the ocean. Breakfast on the patio every morning, drinks in the evening with a simply amazing view. The restaurants were wonderful and we had access to everything we needed or wanted within walking distance. This hotel is an extremely well run paradise! August 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lovely long weekend Liked the shower dispenser rack, hated the small round toilet (prefer elongated toilet). Bed was too old and creaked. The bed did not sleep as well as what we are used to at most Starwood facilities. The air conditioner was either very cold or very hot. Liked the pool area and beach access. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel The lobby and common areas are beautifully maintained. The room that we had was a bit dated with the decor, but it had everything that we needed. Very comfortable bedding and soft towels. You absolutely cannot beat the location on the beach - just steps away from any room. September 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome vacation for two. My wife and I booked this as our first visit to the Destin/Fort Walton area. You're not too far from Destin but you are far enough that you aren't overcrowded by the traffic. The water is amazing and the hotel is perfect. We had the balcony but not ocean-view. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay/Best Vacation ever The Hotel was very nice when you walk in. Staff was super friendly. We received our free room upgrade to an ocean view room and they threw in free breakfast for the wait, which in all honesty wasn't too long. They brought us extra pillows when we asked. Room service was fast! The Beach is beautiful and we were able to use the covered parking garage, definitely a +. Also had the heated pool and spa open in February, my children loved that. Rated 2 out of 5 by Good location but needs work This was our second stay at this property. Front desk staff much improved in terms of helpfulness but there are still management issues. For example, lunch is served only at outdoor shack. They apparently got a little busy so bartender on his own decided to stop serving lunch for 1 1/2 hours at lunch time. Told me kids would have to wait until 3pm to eat. We had to leave property. Also, on checkout they tried to refuse late checkout because housekeeping wanted to leave early. It wasn't until I explained that the maid couldn't re-write corporate policy that they relented. The hotel could be great but just isn't there yet. April 11, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Another Excellent Stay I travel to Eglin AFB 3-4 times a year and originally stayed at other hotels in the area. Once I found the Four Points Sheraton, I refuse to stay anywhere else. The staff is friendly and accommodating and I LOVE the sounds of the surf lulling me to sleep in a tower room. Plus when we got "iced in" back in January, I was glad I had a hotel with a full restaurant! Mostly it's the staff. Always ready to help. September 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by It was a pleasure staying at this hotel We had a great time when we stayed at this hotel. People were friendly and tried to help you with any problems you might have. We did have a problem with our TV.....It kept turning off the volume or just go blank! Makes it very difficult to watch anything because every time someone would start saying something you really wanted to hear something exciting you really wanted to see theTV would shut down! Very annoying!! They did try to fix it but it never got fixed when we were there. That is the only real negative I have to say about our stay. September 11, 2014

Our room over looked the beach, allowing us to watch dolphins play in the water. The restaurant personnel were attentive, friendly, and quick to get us our beverages back to the beach. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel... except... The hotel was outstanding. The room was perfect. The staff was courteous. The only exception was the breakfast. The breakfast had been sitting out for hours by the time we made it down to eat. If I'm paying for a breakfast (and I was) I expect it to be fresh when I eat. We left to eat at Waffle House if that tells you anything. When I informed the staff they seemed less than concerned. But other than this one minor issue, it was a great hotel and overall good experience. December 7, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice location and belongs to SPG Beachfront rooms are right across from white sandy beach. Hotel happens to belong to SPG (even though not at appropriate level). Has two nice outdoor pools. That is all I can say about positives. Rooms are very average (even the "best" suites) and need updating. Bathtubs have shower curtains that are so long that you can not avoid standing on them while showering! You should be very crafty to avoid a puddle of standing water in the bathroom after the shower. Food in restaurant is average. Staff need better training especially about what SPG hotels elsewhere offer. I had to make four phone calls (finally asking for the manager) after I left to actually receive my folio emailed to me! March 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beyond Expectations We were not expecting much due to past reviews on Trip Advisor and the deserted look of the property when we arrived. We were warmly greeted, recognized for newly reached SPG Gold status and upgraded to a wonderful beach view room. We found the room and property to be well-maintained, clean and comfortable in every way and really enjoyed our Gulf-facing balcony! I do have one small criticism to offer. When two people of the same gender check in together, do not assume they want 2 beds. Ask. In our case we reserved a king bed and were given 2 beds without asking. After being together for 19 years, one night in separate beds did not make or break our stay but we would have preferred one big bed. November 14, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptional in all catagories From the moment we entered through the front door of the lobby and approached the 2 ladies behind the desk, we knew we made the right choice in booking our 4 night stay. Wonderful staff took great care of us even though our room was not yet ready, we were promptly directed to the lobby dining room to enjoy w wonderful complimentary dinner. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel It way beats any place we stayed in previous trips. Quite restful nights sleep in very clean room and especially enjoyed the convenience of a large walk in closet. We know where we'll stay in the future. So much to do & seeing the 2 couples with their wedding parties was an extra bonus. Nice, Nice, Nice July 21, 2014

Beach is just as nice as Destin and the price is much better. Beach attendant was very attentive and breakfast buffet was very good. We will be back! March 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Our valentines/engagement stay We are locals and wanted to get away for Valentines night. My boyfriend proposed to me that night!! And our room/stay/bed/friendly staff/great breakfast just everything was so amazing we decided to stay an additional night. When we returned to the room the second night the terrific housekeeping staff had made our room spotless and restocked everything. We work in the hospitality industry locally and we both were just impressed with everyone and everything! We will be back over and over and we have also found a great place for our friends and family to stay when they come in town. We are going to be speaking to your events coordinator because now we have decided we want to have our wedding at your location as well! February 17, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by GREAT BEACH... DATED HOTEL AND CONSTRUCTION Just did a 4 nights stay at this property in room facing ocean ... on first floor.. The balcony is full concrete you need to be standing up to see the beach... so much construction at hotel and next door... Air conditioning was not working we call maintenance 2 times they had to change the full AC UNIT.....Stain on tile in shower.. no wireless in room So much rust on handrail to go to room... TERRIBLE.. i could not touch it going up.. great location.. OUTDATED HOTEL AND I PAID $202 A NIGHT ONLY A FOUR POINTS SPG LIFETIME HERE ... May 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best hotel on the Destin beach The layout of the hotel made it feel spacious. The hotel was booked for the Pirate Festival but you would never know it. The beach is the least crowded. It is almost private because this hotel is not close to another hotel. Loved it! The swimming pools were never crowded. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and very well priced. It is so child friendly. My little granddaughter had her face painted and was so cute. The staff is happy to assist you with anything you need...even bandaids. I look forward to returning. June 6, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Photos Are Deceiving... I've been an SPG member for 3 years and have high expectations of SPG properties. The hotel photos show a building on the beach, what it doesn't show you is the motel like rooms on the other side. 2 story without an elevator with luggage isn't fun. Then when you call SPG...they say it's clearly stated that you'll have a parking lot view...parking lot view from a motel on the other side of the picture? This place was not worth 7K points per night. I should have saved the points and stayed down the street somewhere. VERY disappointed. After spending 21K points aka 21K dollars to look at a parking lot from a motel...I will not be staying here again. August 17, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unpleasantly Surprised The Hotel was busy for the weekend, The Management failed to properly make changes in staffing to accommodate the high number of guests. Dining room was often full of dirty tables ( I was seated at one) Servers were overwhelmed trying to keep up. breakfast buffet had several empty trays and cold items. Was informed I would need to check back with the front desk Sunday morning to see if they could allow a 1pm check out. there were other issues but who has that much time. I will not return. Rated 1 out of 5 by Not what the picture implied Was very disappointed with the room (our view was a parking lot that smelled like a wet dog), the restaurants and the quality of the food. Thought we would be on the beach (as depicted by the photo at Travelocity), but ended up in a room akin to a cheep backwater motel that faced a blacktop parking lot. The bathroom had multiple leaks and the room had a terrible smell. Will never stay here again or recommend it. As a Starwood member, this is definitely not one of your shining properties. Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Stay Ever this was the worst starwoods hotel I have ever stayed in. The "ocean view" was a euphemism for a small strip of beach about 100 yards long. The room was old, outdated, and reminded me of an old motel. Can't even call this a hotel. I had intended to stay all week, but after one night, I left for a different hotel. All rooms are outside facing entrances, i felt very unsafe, and the room was definitely subpar. I will never stay here again although I am in the area frequently for business. October 7, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice rooms - Not so great facilities. Upon arriving at this hotel, you get the feeling of a roadside motel rather than the typical SPG property. Nevertheless, from being a faithful SPG member and having never been let down, I decided to stay here anyway. When I got to the room, it was surprisingly nice. The rooms had been recently updated but it was hard to hide the fact that this is still a very old hotel with rusty fixtures and a musty smell. This place doesn't only need to be updated, but it needs to be completely renovated. Also, the restaurant/lounge called Dempsey's has a fantastic staff but the facilities are very old with exposed pvc pipes, and old bar, and old furniture. The breakfast was also awful and tasteless. If rooms are all that matter to you, then it's not that bad. However, for someone that travels frequently, this isn't my thing. February 2, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Very poor customer service Hotel overall is decent and clean and well located. However I wanted to surprise my wife with some champagne and fruits that were supposed to be awaiting us in the room. First I had to call 3 times in the morning to be able to talk to someone who could take the order (they seem to like to transfer you away from them). When we checked in that night I asked whether the champagne had been delivered to the room already. It hadn't. So before heading to the room I convinced my wife to have dinner first, but by the time we got to the room 45 mn later, still nothing. 15 mn after we got into the room, finally someone showed up but by that time I was so annoyed that I sent him right back. The next day my wife tried to order room service for breakfast but gave up after letting me phone ring at least 35 times. The worst service I've ever experienced at an SPG property. May 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Hotel We just got back from staying at this hotel yesterday for 5 days and all I can say is that it is GREAT!!!!! From the minute we stepped foot in to the lobby, the staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Kuddos go out to Lynn who worked at the front desk. The hotel has plenty of amenities with 2 pools and multiple restaurants on site. The grounds are beautiful. We will definitely be back!!!! July 27, 2014
