Check in was abysmal. Despite the fact that my husband and I are both Gold level spg members, none of our requests were honored. We booked two rooms for the four of us in the beach front tower. We were willing to forgo getting rooms on a high floor, we
couldn't get a king bed, we accepted that an upgrade to a corner room wasn't available, but all we really wanted was to be placed on the west side of the property away from the chain link fence. The front desk agent assured us we would be on the far west side. She even pulled out a property map and circled two rooms to show us the location. We kept the map. So, when we arrived on the floor to discover that the room numbers matched rooms on the opposite side--the east side next to the ugly fence, we thought there was a simple explanation. But no, they refused to move us and said to check back the next day. The next day I was told that there was only a possibility that one room could be offered elsewhere. Ridiculous. Also, the hotel offers a Green program. We support this concept. We dutifully re-used towels, chose to forgo sheet changing, and sorted our trash and recycling. After a few days, I asked to have clean towels brought up and for the trash/recycling to be removed. Someone showed up with towels in a heap, even dropping them on the ground before handing them to me. Then, he began to dump all of the sorted trash, plastics, etc. all into ONE bag. I stopped him and said to wait since we wanted to recycle. After calls to the front desk and another request later, another person showed up and dumped everything together after telling me that there was no way they could sort everything. Apparently "green" doesn't really mean anything here. The entire property is understaffed, too. It was very difficult to reach anyone by phone on site, the bars and restaurants were very slow. This property is only a category 3 in the SPG program so expectations should be realistic but many improvements are needed.

We stayed at this hotel 4 nights and it was very clean and comfortable. There were two pools and a kids splash area. So, you could spend time on the beach or sit by the pool and enjoy the view of beach and ocean. All the staff was very polite and helpful. There's a restaurant on site and several good restaurants nearby. I would stay here again.

My toilet clogged, took repeated calls to get addressed. Stayed 3 nights, maids never cleaned my room, even after I inquired at front-desk. Bathroom tub had peeling, mildewed caulk. Bed was good, a/c worked great. Breakfast is AWESOME! In general, facility is very dated and service is less than average, not what you would expect from a SPG branded location.

My wife & I used our points to enjoy one night at the Four Points In Fort Walton on our way home from the Sheraton Broadway in Myrtle beach. On check in we were upgraded to a ocean front suite. The location, the beach, the beauty of the water were spectacular. From our balcony we were treated to fireworks at night & fishing boats during the day. What a great stop on the way home. Wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time.

Not at all what I expected. The pictures on the SPG website depict a very nice property on the beach. They do not show the rest of the property, which has outside entrances, and no elevator. More like a lower grade hotel, rather than an SPG property.

I actually work for Starwood but stayed under points so it is great to give positive feedback and help with your GEI scores. Ashley at the front desk actually helped me with all my reservations to ensure we had the amount of rooms needed. I enjoyed the property and hope you will allow me to get the Hotrate next time so I don't have to use all of my points :)

This hotel has great access to the beach.It has two swimming pools. It is also within walking distance to a large public fishing pier.
The staff were very friendly and always helpful.
It's not very far from local restaurants back in town.

The Hotel was very nice when you walk in. Staff was super friendly. We received our free room upgrade to an ocean view room and they threw in free breakfast for the wait, which in all honesty wasn't too long. They brought us extra pillows when we asked. Room service was fast! The Beach is beautiful and we were able to use the covered parking garage, definitely a +. Also had the heated pool and spa open in February, my children loved that.

Hotel room had what appeared to be mold growing on ceiling above one of the beds. Also, housekeeping would only leave 2 wash cloths per night for a room with 4 people in it so we had to call every night for extra wash cloths which was a bit aggravating........Also, the hotel garage needs to be able to accomodate trucks.

Hotel is in the perfect location, next to shops, restaurants and other things to do. Beautiful beach that is not too crowded and very relaxing. Already looking forward to our stay next year. The perfect vacation spot.

We really enjoyed our stay! Clean rooms, very helpful staff. Great access to the beach, courtyard and swimming pools very well maintained. Excellent food. We will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay there. The water at the beach had a lot of June Grass which lessened the quality of the beach experience, I know it's not the hotels' fault, but something to consider when you are planning your trip to Okaloosa Island, it's an annual problem. I liked the location and the hotel is nice. The staff was all very friendly as well.

This was our first stay at the hotel. It was very clean, excellent service from the hotel desk to the restaurant and Kiwi's grill. All was very accommodating. The housekeeping was excellent in every way. We were not only vacationing but also visiting family in PCB and Milton. The hotel was right in between :-). We hope to be able to stay again with you in the future!

This was our second stay at this property. Front desk staff much improved in terms of helpfulness but there are still management issues. For example, lunch is served only at outdoor shack. They apparently got a little busy so bartender on his own decided to stop serving lunch for 1 1/2 hours at lunch time. Told me kids would have to wait until 3pm to eat. We had to leave property. Also, on checkout they tried to refuse late checkout because housekeeping wanted to leave early. It wasn't until I explained that the maid couldn't re-write corporate policy that they relented. The hotel could be great but just isn't there yet.

We travelled from Montgomery, Al on our 18th day on the road to this hotel location iin Fort Walton Beach. As loyal SPG members - we tried to book a Sheraton property whenever we take a road trip in the US or anywhere else in the world. This location is the only hotel unable to provide us with an earlier than 4:00 p.m. check-in. Oklahoma City Sheraton accomodated as early as 11:00 a.m. We are senior citizens and had been relying on the comfort of our hotel room after an all morning tiring drive. 3 Flight Pilots were checked in once they arrive at 3:30 p.m. We were still waiting for at least an hour now. If the rooms were not available then they should be made to wait to. This is unacceptable !

The location on the beach was great, an overall great hotel including the staff! The breakfast could use some upgrades, especially when your paying 10.95! It was definitely an upset!

Whether your travelling for business or pleasure, you will find no better experience than at the Four Points Destin-Ft Walton Beach!! The facility has recently been upgraded and the beach front location and view is amazing. The entire staff goes the extra mile to ensure everyone receives the ultimate guest experience. If you are looking to have a meeting, banquet, wedding or just a getaway, look no further. All of your vacation needs are available on site: pools, hotub, beach bar, games and activities for the kids. The restaurant has great selections and it is a short walk to many other local attractions. Do yourself a favor and give the Four Point Destin-Ft Walton Beach a try. There is no better value on the beach!!

The hotel was outstanding. The room was perfect. The staff was courteous. The only exception was the breakfast. The breakfast had been sitting out for hours by the time we made it down to eat. If I'm paying for a breakfast (and I was) I expect it to be fresh when I eat. We left to eat at Waffle House if that tells you anything. When I informed the staff they seemed less than concerned. But other than this one minor issue, it was a great hotel and overall good experience.

Beachfront rooms are right across from white sandy beach. Hotel happens to belong to SPG (even though not at appropriate level). Has two nice outdoor pools. That is all I can say about positives. Rooms are very average (even the "best" suites) and need updating. Bathtubs have shower curtains that are so long that you can not avoid standing on them while showering! You should be very crafty to avoid a puddle of standing water in the bathroom after the shower. Food in restaurant is average. Staff need better training especially about what SPG hotels elsewhere offer. I had to make four phone calls (finally asking for the manager) after I left to actually receive my folio emailed to me!

We were not expecting much due to past reviews on Trip Advisor and the deserted look of the property when we arrived. We were warmly greeted, recognized for newly reached SPG Gold status and upgraded to a wonderful beach view room. We found the room and property to be well-maintained, clean and comfortable in every way and really enjoyed our Gulf-facing balcony! I do have one small criticism to offer. When two people of the same gender check in together, do not assume they want 2 beds. Ask. In our case we reserved a king bed and were given 2 beds without asking. After being together for 19 years, one night in separate beds did not make or break our stay but we would have preferred one big bed.

First time to the area and found the hotel was exactly what we were seeking - great beach location, clean/comfortable room at a reasonable price.
Beach is just as nice as Destin and the price is much better. Beach attendant was very attentive and breakfast buffet was very good.
We will be back!

Used points to hit the beach for a quick retreat. The building is old but clean and staff do their best with what they have. If you are going to sleep there and be on the beach all day, having fancy paintings doesn't matter. What matters is sleeping well and having a gorgeous view with sand in your toes. All that happened here. Super time

We reserved a beachfront room with a balcony such as the one shown in the web photos but when we checked in after dark we were given a room on the first floor
with a balcony behind a solid wall & a view looking over an attached roof. We only discovered this the next morning. There were rooms available higher up. Why were we given this dump!!
