When I returned from my stay at the Four Point Sheraton in Ft. Walton/Destin, I had several erroneous charges to my debit card, which I used at the hotel's restaurants. I had to talk to several people over several days to get the issue resolved. The GM of the hotel barely gave me an apology and said he would call me back to follow up to ensure that the charges were taken off of my account. I never heard back from him. As a SPG customer, I wasn't offered anything to accommodate for my inconvenience. When I asked about this, I was told by the GM, that he would call me back. That was over a week ago. I assume my issue was not a big deal to him. I travel about 20-30 times a year for work and personal reasons. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again, especially when there are so many options in the Ft. Walton/Destin area. Also the rooms and beds aren't that great.

For the convenience it's great. For the cost, not so great. For that price and you're only in the room a small amount of time it's too expensive. For all the other amenities it shouldn't be as expensive because you still have to purchase everything in the bars, dining and club. If all that was included in the cost it would be worth it. You could go stay at a cheaper hotel and just come there for the beach, bars and restaurants. But I still stay there because I still like the hotel.

The location is old and run down and need a major upgrade. It was not what I expect in an SPG property.

At 4PM check-in the lobby was full of people wanting to check in but rooms were not ready. My wife called the hotel and asked for a manager and was told there wouldn't be one there until the next morning. We came back an hour later and the rooms were still not ready. This time the desk clerks were giving vouchers for free drinks at the bar while we and other people waited for rooms. The rooms were very nice and clean with great views of the Gulf. Portions of the hotel were under renovation but this had no effect on our stay. At check-out I was told I would get 750 points as a comp for check-in fiasco but did not get them. The bar staff did the most to smooth over problems at the front desk. Great seafood within a short walk from the hotel. This was a pleasant stay after check-in.

Had no hot water in the morning, probably should have been offered a room in another part of the hotel. Phone in the room did not work when I tried to call the desk. The restaurant was closed for renovation. Got 750 points for the lack of hot water, worth about 1/10th of a night stay - not a good trade.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay. The guest and staff were extremely courteous and the environment was welcoming. I proposed to my fiance while staying and the staff was very accommodating.
