Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible staff and management Neither the kitchen staff nor the room staff could get anything right. Simple requests for an extra pillow or "no tomatoes" went unheaded by the staff. After the third meal error and the second request for an extra pillow we went to hotel management who were barely apologetic and really made no effort to correct the situation November 26, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Modern yet felt like home My wife and I had a little getaway and it was such a great experience. The oceanfront, the gym, the dining and the relaxing was more than we expected. The room was a delight. We felt like we were in heaven. Will stay here again. February 26, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Old hotel Great location but an old building that has been improved, well sort of. Problems with the local cable TV; safe didn't work, kept the lobby and restaurant colder than the outside and it less than 70" F. Had to find the Manager on Duty to get anything done with no response from other management. Pick another hotel. March 16, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Location Nice hotel, with good location right on beach. But we had a big problem getting our car from Valet parking. It took beetween 20 min - 30 min to get the car, and the staff here were not friendly all the time.. A big mess every time. Nice people in restaurant, and good location right on beach. BUT DONT USE CAR HERE. July 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by All I expected and more I had very specific needs as I was traveling with 4 children 2 of which were still in a crib. The hotel provided 2 connecting rooms, a crib in each and a fridge at no extra charge. I had no hassles. Everyone was nice and friendly. Pool was great, hot tub was great and I love being right on the beach. December 12, 2011

Great, hospitable service from all the staff, checking in, maid and consiger (sp) valet. Near car rental facilities, public transportation and of course taxi services. January 4, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Run down The rug was dirty , wet and ripped. The bed was old and uncomfortable. Lights didn't work. It was suppose to be a Starwood Floor,not. The 4th floor was. The rest of the hotel dark and needs to be renovated. People were nice. The food good. This was the worst room I have ever had with Sheraton. February 20, 2012

The staff is super friendly and made the difference for me. They are the main reason for me to return(My friends from Haiti and Argentina at the front desk are the best!). December 16, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible Service! Our room was clean, but included broken furniture and only the curtain was on the windows as the sheer lining was missing. The restaurant made errors on literally every meal we ordered, and it took a minimum of 20 minutes to order a drink. If you're coming to Miami Beach, do not stay here! November 25, 2011

The lady who checked me out asked me if I called housekeeping instead of acknowledging the room should have had the proper accouterments. There were big hair balls floating around around the shower. Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful hotel Awful and old hotel! And the prices of hotel it is unreal are overestimated. In general it is surprised that in the network there is such hotel. Personnel very lazy and not the friendly. Dirty towels at the pool put, as new and fresh. In the general disappointment! ! ! January 16, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The room was disgusting, and the pool was a joke!! I was grossed out to even sleep in the bed! Floors were dirty, the whole hotel was!!! Thankfully our friends were in town and we mostly hang out at their hotel, ate and drank there, etc.... WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!! February 8, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs renovation We have stayed here before and the hotel is really dated. Air was not working in our room and after about an hour of trying to fix it had to move. Air in gym not working either. Really needs to be redone. We won't stay there again until it is. Carpet dirty and frayed. September 19, 2012

Location was the only positive attribute. Great location, terrible hotel. Beach was also unkept so sitting on the beach was terrible. July 28, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Could be better Very out of date. Rooms require modernisation and refurbishment. Damp smell in room. Coffee and tea was not replenished after the first night. Maintenance being carried out on adjacent room caused early morning noise. Overall the quality was very low. October 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing. As a Starwood employee, I was overall impressed by the location, facilities and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The only hiccup was that the hotel didn't have deodorant available, but was otherwise PERFECT! December 23, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Old and Dated This hotel is in a great location... It is perfect if you are planning on not being in your room. Rooms are small and with old furnishings. Also, hotel doesn't tell you that there will be a $25 (self-parking) $29 (valet parking) fee. April 29, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not my favorite SPG hotel The carpet was rippled and stained. Bathroom was small, the door touched the toilet seat, and the shower curtain smelled. Bed was not comfortable and during my two night stay I woke multiple times due to discomfort. August 6, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by Fee at every turn Was charged 20 bucks for receiving a package at the hotel. Spent 4 nights in the hotel and had to leave early (one day) and was charged an early departure fee. Room was nasty, run down flea bag. Will never go back. March 19, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by There are better places in Miami Beach Last minute trip I booked the Sheraton and drove down to Miami for a photo shoot. Upon my arrival I was upgraded to an ocean view room, that was very nice. My room was freezing cold, it was set at 65, there was trash in the form of candy wrappers and what appeared to be used tissues on both sides of the bed. I was to tired to care because I had to be up in 4 hours. The next day when i came back the wrappers were still there. To add to this the hotel is not sound proof, you can hear kids in the hallways, people talking, doors slamming, etc. So after my business was taken care of working 18 plus hours a day when I go to check out the front desk clerk said I had two charges, on the same day....for breakfast. Apparently I ate the buffet one sitting. After explaining I only had one and that it made no sense I was given a pompous attitude and then investigated for $23.50. Some one wrote down the wrong room number and it happened to be mine. After careful examination, and a series of signature examinations by the hotel clerk, because he is qualified to do so, took the one charge off. I will never stay here again. July 12, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Awesome views, but needs an upgrade This property needs an update. While the views of mid-beach are to die for, the lines, drapes and covers, if not the overall feel of the rooms, are dated and do not have the SPG experience. January 13, 2013
